Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce learning media based on android that is valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is development. The development model used is the 4-D model, consisting of four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research data were obtained from validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests. From the results of the media validity test, it shows that the category is very valid from 3 aspects, namely the material aspect of 97.89%, the media aspect of 81.82%, and the language aspect of 82.86%. Practicality data were obtained from the results of the questionnaire analysis of the responses of educators and students, while the practicality test results of Android-based learning media for first aid learning obtained an assessment of 93.40 for practicality assessment by students and 96.67 for practical assessment by educators with a very valid category. The results of the effectiveness test of student learning outcomes pretest results obtained an average of 62.25 and at the time of the posttest increased to 83.25 after using android-based learning media in the learning process of first aid in accidents, this shows that there is an increase in student learning outcomes after using based learning media. android learning first aid for junior high school extracurricular accidents.

Abstract

In the course of the History of Da’wah at the Imam Bonjol State Islamic University of Padang, it is adequate for the student learning process.However,due to COVID-19, it requires an innovation that utilizes technology that must comply with health protocols, and must also be able to achieve maximum learning outcomes. This study was conducted in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic as a learning technology innovation in dealing with the world disaster that have an impact in the field of education. This study aimed to determine the development and feasibility of the e-module of the History of Da’wah on the learning outcomes of the History of Da’wah course. This type of study was a Research and Development (Rand D) using the IDI (Instructional Development Institute) development model. The assessment of media experts, material experts, linguists, student and lecturer practicality were used as research data which were analysed by descriptive percentages.This studyproduced a product of the e-module of the History of Da’wah with the assessment of material experts of 79.17%, media experts of 80%, linguists of 78%, student responses of 85.42%, and teacher responses of 93.18%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the product of the e-module of the History of Da’wah is suitable for use in student learning for the History of Da’wah course at the Imam Bonjol State Islamic University of Padang.

Abstract

This article to analyze and describe the speaking ability of non-English department students, Universitas Riau in the academic year 2016/2017 covering pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension. The study was also aimed to describe the activities done by the English lecturer in the teaching and learning process and the difficulties the students had when speaking. Descriptive qualitative method was used in this study participated by twenty participants at the Faculty of Economics Universitas Riau. The data were gathered using observation, an oral test in the form of interview and documentation. The results of the data analysis of the participants’ speaking ability in terms of pronunciation indicated that 11 participants’ pronunciation was in fair category, 7 participants’ pronunciation was in very good category, 2 participants’ pronunciation was in very good category and none of the participants’ pronunciation was in poor and excellent categories. In terms the participants’ speaking ability in grammar, the findings showed that 12 participants’ grammar was in fair category, 6 was in good category, 2 was in very good category, and none was in poor and excellent categories. In terms of the participants’ speaking ability in vocabulary, it was discovered that 2 participants’ vocabulary was in poor category, 4 was in good category, 14 was in fair category, and none was in very good and excellent categories. The participants’ speaking ability in terms of fluency, the findings revealed that 2 participants’ speaking ability was in poor category, 5 was in good category, 13 was in fair category, and none was in very good and excellent categories. Finally, the participants’ speaking ability in terms of comprehension indicated that 2 participants’ comprehension was in poor category, 4 was in good category, 14 was in fair category, and none was in very good and excellent categories

Abstract

This research is motivated by the teacher's teaching ability that does not vary and the conditions of the learning environment that is less supportive of causing a decrease in student learning outcomes, in Social Sciences subjects. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship 1) Variations in teaching teachers with student social learning outcomes. 2) Learning environment with students' social studies learning outcomes. 3) Variations in teacher teaching and learning environment together with students' social studies learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative descriptive correlational study. The population of this study was 789 students while the study sample was taken based on the Proportional Startified Random Sampling technique obtained a sample of 88 people, data collection using questionnaire interval processing scores using data processing applications SPSS. Based on the results of research analysis on the Relationship of Teacher Teaching Variations and Learning Environment Against Social Studies Learning Outcomes of Students at SMPN 16 Padang, the results show that 1) There is a significant relationship between teacher teaching variations and student social learning outcomes. 2) There is a significant relationship between the learning environment and students' social studies learning outcomes. 3) There is a significant relationship between variations in teacher teaching and the learning environment together with students' social studies learning outcomes. This research is recommended to social studies teachers to pay more attention to variations in learning and the learning environment so as to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aims of this research to evaluate the Model School Program Padang Public Junior High School 4 which can provide accurate information for the central government, local governments, school principals, teachers, and other interested parties, and is optimally beneficial for the implementation of the Model School Program. This type of research is a research evaluation with a quantitative descriptive approach. The evaluation model used is the CIPPO model (context, input, process, product, outcome) developed by Stufflebeam. Data collection techniques are carried out using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The subjects of this study were the School Education Quality Assurance Team (TPMPS) Model Padang Public Junior High School 4 and schools scanning: Padang Public Junior High School 3 and Padang Frater Junior High School. The results showed that the Model School and scaling Program at Padang Public Junior High School 4 had been well implemented and must continue so that schools can implement education quality assurance independently and form schools with quality culture. The CIPPO evaluation is used to optimize problems that occur in the implementation of the Model School Program and its impact on schools scanning of Padang Public Junior High School 3 and Padang Frater Junior High School.

Abstract

The background of this research is the students whose achievement is still under the minimum standard (KKM) of learning success and most of them are unwilling to pay serious attention to the text they are reading. This research aims to solve students’ problems in the learning process especially reading comprehension using a graphic organizers. The method used is classroom action research (CAR). The data were collected through reading tests, observation, field notes, and interviews. The result showed that students’ reading comprehension is improved by using a graphic organizer technique. The average of their reading test in the pre-test is 61, 67, 71.25 is in cycle one and 78.75 is in cycle two. Furthermore, the graphic organizer also gives significant effect such as students are more active and confidence in teaching and learning process and they could comprehend text well.

Abstract

The research objectives are: (1) developing a mahendi art training program for women's empowerment, (2) producing a mahendi art training program for practical women's empowerment. This study uses the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. The conclusions are: (1) Mahendi art training program has been successfully developed, (2) Mahendi art training program has been practically used for women's empowerment in the city of Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the principal in fostering the professional competence of teachers at Ekatama SMKS Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptive methods and a qualitative approach. Research data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The data validity analysis technique was performed by triangulation. The data analysis technique uses the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the role of the principal in fostering the professional competence of teachers at Ekatama SMKS Pekanbaru was as an educator, administrator, supervisor, leader, manager, innovator, and motivator. One of the principal roles is as manager. As a manager, thinks conceptually and analytically, is able to face various problems at school, always tries to be an intermediary in solving problems. To improve the competence of teachers, it is important to carry out a system of testing teacher competencies. The existing regional autonomy policy can be used to conduct teacher competency tests. Competency tests are conducted in order to develop and demonstrate the complete competence of a teacher. The complete competence possessed includes the integration, application of knowledge and skills, as well as interrelated attitudes.

Abstract

Character education is an important form of education that teachers must do today, including sociology teachers. References to character formation for students can come from various sources and one of them is from the Koran. In learning, Alqur'an will be integrated with the learning materials. Conducting character education not only during the learning process, but starting from lesson planning to evaluation. This research was conducted to find out, whatOf course, the values ​​of the Koran are integrated by the sociology learning material teacher at SMAN 9 Padang. The method used in this research is qualitative research with the technique of collecting data through interviews and documentation.Analysis of research using Max Wertheimer's gesture. From the results of the research conducted it was found that, The values ​​of the Koran that are integrated into sociology learning at SMAN 9 Padang are very varied, including individual human life, human relations with God, human life in society and human relations with nature.

Abstract

Physics learning in schools had not fully trained students' critical thinking skills. The reason was that learning has not been centered on students, and the learning devices used by teachers had not encouraged the active involvement of students in learning and finding their knowledge. Learning model that present a learning environment by emphasizing the central role of students is research-based learning. This learning model guides students to form hypotheses, collect and process data, and draw conclusions by discussing in groups. The involvement and activeness of students will encourage students' critical thinking activities. The aim of this study is the development of research-based learning devices with practical, valid, and effective criteria to improve students' critical skills on impulse and momentum material. The development model used is ADDIE from Branch. Research data was validity data, practicality data, and effectiveness data. The research instruments used were validation sheets, practicality sheets, and effectiveness sheets. This study had an output to create research-based learning devices with valid, effective, and very practical categories to enhance students' critical thinking skills.
