Abstract

Preeclampsia is a disorder that occurs in the mother and fetus during pregnancy which is one of the problems in pregnancy worldwide, especially in countries with low maternal health levels. Many risk factors contribute to the incidence of preeclampsia, including age, obesity, gravida status or parity, anaemia, history of hypertension, previous history of preeclampsia, and multiple pregnancies. This study aims to determine the association of risk factors with the incidence of preeclampsia at RSUD Dr. H. Chasan Boesoirie Ternate. This is an observational-analytic study with 169 consecutive samples. Using the chi-square test there is a relationship between preeclampsia and age, obesity, and a history of hypertension (p0.001); anaemia (p=0.039). There is no relationship between preeclampsia and the status of gravida (p=0,514) and multiple pregnancies (p=0.525). It can be concluded that there is an association between preeclampsia and age, obesity, anaemia, and a history of hypertension and no association between preeclampsia and status of gravida and multiple pregnancies

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus type II is a condition of increased blood glucose caused by disturbances in insulin resistance and insulin secretion that causes metabolic disorders of the body, is a silent killer disease. Living with DM causes stress in a person because most of the patient's time is spent on treatment. It is estimated that around 1.6 million deaths are caused by diabetes globally. Decreased quality of life often occurs in patients with chronic diseases, one of which is DM which has an impact on stress and resilience. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Diabetes Exercises on the level of stress and resilience of DM sufferers. This study used a Quasy Experimental design (pre- and post-test), involving 20 intervention groups and 20 control groups taken with purposive sampling techniques. The paired sample t-test results showed a p-value of 0.448 which means there was no difference before and after DM Exercise to stress and resilience. DM Exercise indirectly does not affect the resilience and stress of DM sufferers, it contributes to reducing the stress of DM patients. In future studies, it is expected that Diabetes Resilience Training and Mindfulness actions in DM patients to improve their quality of life

Abstract

Hypertension is a world public health problem with a high prevalence of cases, especially in productive age. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an increase in comorbid cases, including hypertension, due to a lack of physical activity and psychological illnesses. One of the risk factors for hypertension is stress. This study aimed to determine the relationship between stress and the incidence of hypertension in the Banjarnegara 2 Health Center during the pandemic. This study used a cross-sectional design. As many as 65 participants were involved in this study that were selected using purposive sampling. A set of pre-tested questionnaires was adopted from DASS-42 to collect information from the respondents. Analysis was done using the Spearman rank correlation test. Most productive-age respondents during the pandemic at Puskesmas Banjarnegara 2 had moderate stress levels (41.5%), followed by normal high hypertension (38.5%). Spearman rank correlation test showed a significant relationship between stress levels and the incidence of hypertension in productive age during the pandemic in the region   Puskesmas Banjarnegara 2 with a p-value of   0.000 (p0.05). This result showed a positive and robust correlation of 0.743, meaning that stress levels were associated with the incidence of hypertension in productive age during the pandemic.

Abstract

The prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) globally continues to increase until it triples in 2030, namely 21.3 million (Perkeni, 2019). Physical, psychological, economic and social changes occur due to various complications. Diabetes mellitus, which cannot be completely cured, often results in anxiety and decreases quality of life. The role of patients and families in managing DM is vital because DM is a chronic disease that patients will carry for life (Perkeni, 2019). The research aims to identify family support and the level of anxiety among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Internal Medicine Clinic, Dr. RSUD. Harjono Ponorogo. This research design used cross-sectional research with the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale and Hensarling's Diabetes Family Support Scale). Data analysis used statistical tests with Spearman's Rink through the SPSS program with α of 5%. The results of the Spearman Rink test obtained a value (p-value = 0.027 ˂ 0.05) indicating that there is a significant relationship between family support and anxiety in patients with diabetes mellitus. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that family support has a significant influence on the level of anxiety among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract

SADARI (Breast Self-Examination) is one of the early detection of breast cancer and a role in the discovery of early-stage breast cancer. Awareness about SADARI is an educational activity with the spread of messages to improve the implementation of SADARI and the perceived susceptibility of adolescents in the early detection of breast cancer. This research aims to determine the influence of counseling about awareness (breast self-examination) on implementing SADARI and perceived susceptibility to early detection of breast cancer in the Muhammadiyah Senior High School City of Kediri in 2022. Pre-experiment research with one group pre-test and post-test design. Population all student XI Muhammadiyah Senior High School with a sample size of 37 with a total sampling technique. The instrument is a questionnaire and statistics test by the Wilcoxon test. The results can be interpreted that before counseling on BSE, almost all respondents had less than 33 respondents (89.2%). After counseling, some respondents had the implementation of BSE in the medium category, namely 18 respondents (48.6%). Before counseling on BSE, almost all respondents had low perceived susceptibility, 25 respondents (67.5%). After counseling, most respondents had perceived susceptibility in the high category, namely 24 respondents (64.9%). The results by Wilcoxon test obtained ρ value = 0.000 α = 0.05, which means there is an extension of awareness about SADARI on the implementation of SADARI and perceived susceptibility early detection of breast cancer. It is hoped that the youth will perform SADARI regularly and independently to detect early breast cancer

Abstract

Even after cessation of cigarette smoke exposure, long-term exposure leads to lung fibrous tissue growth characteristically by oxidative stress. Oat, an inexpensive dietary source with antioxidant characteristics, is expected to alleviate oxidative stress in the lung tissue after exposure to cigarette smoke has ceased. This research aims to evaluate the effect of an oat diet in alleviating oxidative stress in the lung tissue of BALB/c mice after cessation of cigarette smoke exposure. A randomized post-test-only control group design was used for this research. The sample used in this experiment is male BALB/c mice (n = 33). Mice with BALB/c strain were separated into two groups: (1) control and (2) treatment. SOD, GSH, and MDA were the variables of the study. Cigarette smoke exposure decreases the activity of SOD and GSH and increases the concentration of MDA. After cigarette smoke exposure had been stopped in the oat-treated mice group, SOD and GSH activities were enhanced, and the MDA content dropped. This research's variable outcomes were statistically significant (P0.05) from the standard feed alone-treated BALB/c mice group. Thus, consuming oats may alleviate oxidative stress implicated in lung fibrogenesis following cessation of tobacco smoke exposure

Abstract

Most of the dementia population will suffer from behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD), causing them to undergo progressive disturbances such as agitation, depression, elation, delusions, and hallucinations. Most evidence favours non-pharmacological intervention, including managing the physical environment settings, to tackle this issue. Adjusting the physical environment care will massively support people with dementia to continue their daily living. Providing a better nursing care environment has a significant impact on their orientation. Giving them a home-like and social opportunity allows them to regain their sense of normal life. Access to sensory stimulation will aid them to feel comfortable and promote better sleep. The green neighbourhood creates reciprocity feelings among people with dementia toward their environment. Tailoring the physical environment design can help lessen the behavioural symptoms of people with dementia, including their agitation, apathy, and depressive complaints. More high-quality trials and interventions with bigger sample sizes are required
