Abstract

Abstract: Diabetes Mellitus (DM), often referred to as diabetes, is a metabolic disease characterized by elevated blood glucose levels above normal. Based on data from the Medan City Health Office, the number of T2DM increases every month by around 699 cases as well as the incidence of metabolic disorders which continues to increase due to diabetes. Puskesmas Glugur Darat is one of the health centers with the highest number of T2DM patients in Medan city. Based on the results of the recapitulation of the monthly report on T2DM disease obtained from the Medan City Health Office in 2019, in one month the number of T2DM can reach 282 patients. The purpose of the study was to determine the correlation of body mass index (BMI), physical activity patterns, and hypertension status with the incidence of type II diabetes mellitus. The type of research is quantitative with a case control approach. The sample consisted of 88 case samples and 88 control samples. The sampling technique used Simple Random Sampling. The results showed that there was a relationship between BMI (p value: 0.009), physical activity patterns (p value: 0.030) and hypertension status (p value: 0.001) on the incidence of diabetes. It is recommended to the health center to disseminate information and education through print and electric media in the form of bulletins, and conduct regular health screenings to a group of high-risk communities. Keywords: Physical Activity, Diabetes, Hypertension

Abstract

Binding is broader in scope than an engagement/agreement/contract, because binding is not only born from an engagement/agreement/contract, but binding is also born from the law. Binding contains 4 elements, which include: 1) A legal relationship, which attaches rights to one party and obligation to the other party; 2) Wealth, which means that the criteria of binding are measures that can have value in a legal relationship; 3) Parties, which means that in binding must consist of two or more people; 4) Prestasi or also known as kontraprestasi is part of the implementation of the binding, which according to Article 1234 of KUHPerdata is distinguished from giving something, doing something, and not doing something. This normative legal research is using a statute approach, conceptual approach, and comparative approach. Whether an agreement is valid or not can be traced to Article 1320 of the KUHPerdata , as well as the absence of a stamp duty in the agreement letter does not make an agreement that has been agreed invalid, or void by law. The agreement letter that fulfills the elements of the valid requirements of the agreement, will becomes law for the parties (pacta sunt servanda principle). Regarding to make an agreement letter that does not have a stamp duty to be used as evidence, then payment of stamp duty is made. Keywords: stamp duty, binding, agreement.

Abstract

Data analysis is a crucial element in various fields of knowledge, including social sciences and humanities. The phenomenological approach in data analysis focuses on understanding subjective experiences and individual perceptions of specific phenomena. This research aims to explore and understand how the phenomenological approach is used in data analysis and its implications for research outcomes. This study employs a descriptive library research method, involving the collection and analysis of data from various relevant literature. The sources analyzed include books, journal articles, and other academic publications discussing the phenomenological approach in data analysis. This approach allows researchers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the concepts and applications of phenomenology in the context of data analysis.  The findings indicate that the phenomenological approach provides deep insights into individual experiences and perceptions, enriching data analysis in qualitative research. By understanding subjective experiences, researchers can interpret data more profoundly and meaningfully. This study recommends the broader application of the phenomenological approach in data analysis to enhance the quality and relevance of research outcomes.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) 2021 stated that tuberculosis is still one of the main world health problems where tuberculosis is the 13th leading cause of death in the world and in 2020 tuberculosis became the infectious disease that caused the most deaths in the world after COVID-19. The National Strategy for Tuberculosis Prevention in Indonesia 2020-2024 explained that the scope of finding tuberculosis patients has not reached the target. Based on the Health Profile of the Salak Health Center in 2021, the achievement of the Pulmonary Tuberculosis program (Incidince Rate) was 21 suspected patients or 10.6% of the target of 198 suspected patients. The purpose of the study was to analyze the low number of passive and active case finding, and analyze community empowerment towards the implementation of the Pulmonary Tuberculosis Program in the Working Area of the Sungai Salak Community Health Center. This type of research is qualitative, descriptive, with a case study design. The research location is in the Working Area of the Sungai Salak community health center, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The research period is January to August 2023. In-depth interview research informants there were 5 people consisting of 3 main informants (tuberculosis Program Holders at Puskesmas, Analysts, Doctors) and 2 Supporting In-Informants (Head of Puskesmas and Tuberculosis Program Holders at the Health Office), while the Focus Group Discussion informants there were 6 people consisting of village heads, RT leaders, RW leaders, community leaders, PMOs, tuberculosis cadres. The form and flow of passive examination of tuberculosis patients are in accordance with the SOP. The obstacle is that sometimes patients who come for treatment to the puskesmas find it difficult to remove their sputum at that time. Active case discovery has not been in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (Screening and Household Contact of tuberculosis patients) because nothing has been done. It is expected that the role of tuberculosis officers can ensure that tuberculosis cases are reported regularly through the tuberculosis program information system. Keywords : Community Empowerment, Passive Case Discovery, Active Case Discovery, Sungai Salak Community Health Center, and Tuberculosis Program

Abstract

Roads are infrastructure that plays a very important role in the progress of a region, which is a link between one region and other regions. Asphalt concrete layer (Laston) is the most frequently used road pavement in Indonesia, consisting of asphalt, aggregate and filler. In an effort to add substitutes for fine materials that can be used as ingredients in asphalt mixtures, palm shell ash, which is easily obtained, was used in research as an alternative fine material in asphalt mixtures. The asphalt used in this research is PG 76 modified asphalt originating from PT. Perdana Eternal Mighty. This research was carried out with the aim of finding out the value of a mixture of palm shell ash as a fine fraction material for AC-WC layered laston in terms of stability and density. The percentage of palm shell ash content used in this research was 0%, 4%, 6% and 8%. This research uses the Marshall test method by reviewing the effect of palm shell ash on stability and density. Based on the results of testing the marshall parameters in terms of variations in the percentage of substitution content of palm shell ash, it can be concluded that the greater the content of palm shell ash used, the greater the value of stability and density, for the highest value obtained Stability was 1334 (residual marshall) at a variation of 6% and density of 2.297 in variation 8%Keywords: Palm shell ash, PG76 modified asphalt, AC-WC, Stability Density

Abstract

Equality before the law is one of the most fundamental normative principles or principles. This means that the law does not discriminate against anyone who comes to ask for justice. That is the ideal of law, that is the law that should be enforced anytime and anywhere. Meanwhile, in reality, we see that there is another principle that is looming, as we often hear in the expression "the law is sharp downwards but blunt upwards." The law that people actually experience and appreciate is that there are differences before the law, that is the sociology of law. What can I do, this is the behavior of law, that law can change due to the influence of stratification in society, morphology, culture, organization and social control. Keywords: Law, People, Before the Law
