Abstract

abstractthe purpose of this research is to understand the changes that occur in graphic art. especially the shift in fuction from graphic art from the dysnatic era to the present era.the development of pure graphic artwork into applied work is based on the need of the widdercommunity that are processed and integrated together with fuctional product.reference from graphic art, especially for high print techniques than began with woodenboard, to gouge, as it expanded into the media of rubber, screen, hardoard, stone, andmetal. Abstract

ABSTRAK1 Tugas akhir kekaryaan bertujuan untuk: (1) melakukan eksplorasi desain motif batik dengan sumber ide angsa, (2) mewujudkan karya busana luaran wanita dengan motif batik angsa berdasarkan desain terpilih yang telah dirancang. Karya yang dihasilkan adalah busana luaran wanita dengan menggunakan tema angsa. Angsa tidak hanya merupakan hewan yang indah namun juga memiliki filosofi disetiap tingkah lakunya. Bagi agama Hindu, angsa adalah hewan yang dianggap suci. Bahkan angsa merupakan tunggangan dari Dewi Saraswati. Angsa merupakan simbol kesetiakawanan, simbol kesetiaan dan simbol cinta sejati. Proses pembuatan karya menggunakan teknik batik tulis, teknik pewarnaan colet dengan warna sintetis jenis remasol, dan teknik jahit. Bahan utama yang digunakan adalah kain primisima. Karya busana wanita yang dibuat berfungsi sebagai busana luaran yang dapat digunakan baik formal maupun non-formal. Estetika atau keindahan karya busana luaran wanita dapat diuraikan berdasarkan teori Monroe Bardsley yaitu kesatuan, kerumitan dan kesungguhan. (1) Unsur kesatuan dapat dilihat dari bahan yang digunakan, bentuk motif dan warna yang tersusun secara harmonis, (2) kerumitan karya busana wanita dapat dilihat dari proses pembuatan yanng begitu rumit, (3) kesungguhan dapat dilihat berdasarkan makna yang terkandung di dalam setiap karya.Kata Kunci: angsa, busana wanita, estetika  ABSTRACTThe final task aims to : (1) do explore batik motif design with swan source idea, (2) Create women’s outwear fashion with swan batik motif based on selected design that have been designed. The produced creation is women’s outwear using swan themes. Swan are not only beautiful animals but also have a philosophy in each of their behavior. For Hinduism, swan are animals that are considered sacred. Even the swan is the ride of Saraswati Goddess. The swan is a loyal symbol of friends, symbol sorrow and true love. The making process of creation using batik tulis technique , coloring technique with synthetic colors of remazol and sewing technique. The main materials use is primisima cloth. Women’s fashions creation made to funcyion as outwear that can be used both formal and non formal. The aesthetics of beauty of women’s outwear can be described based on Monroe Bardsley theory of unity, compexity and intensity. (1) the element if unity can be seen from the materials used, the design of motif and colur arranged in harmoni, (2) the complexity of women’s fashion creation can be seen from the making process is cp complicated, (3) the intensity can be seen based on the meaning contained in each creation.Keywords : Swan, Women’s Fashion, Aesthetics

Abstract

This article studies the representation of women in In the Land of Blood and Honey movie, a romantic drama movie set in the background of the Bosnian war. By using feminist film theory, the article analyzes the depiction of women image associated with men and the resistance raised in the film. The results of the analysis show that Bosnian women experience oppression during the Bosnian. They are victims of kidnappings, raped, tortured, murdered and exploited in war. Resistance emerges from female character who escapes from Serbian army camp and decides to be a spy for Bosnian soldiers.

Abstract

This reseach is based on the variety interpretations on the human puppet show on the mahabarata story in Indonesia. These various interpretations produce a lot of style and one of them is Surakarta style.The interpretation of Surakarta style can be observed by the dancer’s costume which have the uniquecharacteristic adapted by local tradition.The goal of this research is to make a deep and detail data in the using of mahabarata’s dancer costume in Surakarta style. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The subjects of the research are Mahabarata’s human puppet show in Sriwedari, Indonesian Institute of The Arts (ISI) Surakarta, and Taman Budaya Jawa Tengah (TBJT) Surakarta. The steps in thisresearch are literature review, data collection and draw conclusion. The conclusion is The use of the puppet costume of the mahabarata series, Surakarta style was adjusted to the characteristics of the puppet figures and plays performed. Costume design is the result of visualization of fashion on the human puppet show. Thesuggestion of this research can be used as the reference in the mahabarata’s dancer costume of Surakarta style and provide the knoeledge contribution as an effort to preserve human puppet in Surakarta style.

Abstract

Flowers are one of the extraordinary forms that are enjoyed by their beauty. Starting from a childhood experience, this work tries to manifest anxiety through the art of photography. The object selected in this work is a lay flower. Wither is where a condition is not fresh or pale. Based on changes in flower color, irregular textures and shapes are interesting to visualize in a photographic work. One of the genres of photography used is still life photography. A work of art that creates an image of an inanimate object or object to make it appear much more alive. The work of this work, uses air-filled media with other supporting objects. The selection of media that contains water is used to facilitate the arrangement in order to achieve aesthetic or beauty value. The values of beauty include unity, complexity, and sincerity in creating such works. All of these things are related to the results in the process of working on the work. The Creation of Withered Flowers in Still life Photography has meaning, not just a visual form without aesthetic value.

Abstract

Traditional art is more hereditary and follows the existing standards, while modern art is more towards novelty and longs for fresh works. Creative artists will produce works that can be enjoyed both visually and conceptually. The art of wayang godhong performance is one of the mediums of expression about the traditions and lives of tobacco farmers in treading their lives. Wayang godhong is expected to be asustainable art and can also be included as contemporary art that combines tradition and contemporary art. Wayang godhong is indeed a unique and interesting work of art that combines performances and works of art that are embodied in the figures of the puppet forms. The works of art that are displayed become a puppet. Wayang godhong already has a lot of fans, besides that wayang godhong can also be used as an effective communication medium other than as a medium of education, especially knowledge of art and culture. In this study, the author uses an interactive art creation methodology with children, and effective two-way communication occurs so that art and culture knowledge education for children in Kalisak, Salaman, Magelang can be achieved.

Abstract

Departing from the author's empirical experience about the memoir of fear in oneself and experiencing scary and sad events, the writer wants to know himself more deeply. the creation of a work of graphic art this final project is to create a work of graphic art that takes the inspiration of fear, which indirectly also explains the concept of its creation, as well as the visual aesthetics of the work of graphic art, with the aim of creating the work of graphic art itself. The creation of the work refers to three stages, namely finding the initial idea, developing, perfecting and strengthening the initial idea. The result obtained from the creation of this work is self-therapy using high print art media.

Abstract

 This design aims to make games as a means of education, especially for the younger generation. This design focuses on game design by incorporating historical elements such as Javanese script. The process of designing the game "Return of the Aji Saka" is one of the approaches to learning about culture, especially Javanese script. This design method uses a sequential approach, where a progress as air flows through the phases namely planning, gathering the necessary requirements, knowledge, concepts, and designs. The results of this design can be in the form of promotional media such as artbooks, exhibition booths, online advertising as top-line media (Above the line) and posters, X-banners, stickers, T-shirts, mugs, pins, key chains as bottom-line media (Below the line). line). The design of this game is expected to increase a sense of concern for the younger generation of cultural preservation, especially Javanese script. In addition, it is expected to be an alternative for teenagers to learn Javanese script culture in the digital era like today.

Abstract

Creation of a painting with a background of anxiety as well as the experience that has been generated from the 2014 & 2019 presidential election at that time. The presidential elections in 2014 and 2019 at that time made a lot of people especially teenagers in the millennial generation to receive the negative impacts they received directly and indirectly. These incidents also shape the attitudes of the millennial generation to face the turmoil of this presidential election. The purpose of creating this artwork is to explain the concept, process and visual description of the work whose source of inspiration comes from the context of the 2014 & 2019 presidential elections for millennial youth. The painting style used is the Pop Surrealism style. The creation of works refers to the three stages of creation put forward by Herman Von Helmholtz which describes the stages in the creation process, including: Saturation (Data Collection), Incubation (Precipitation), Illumination (Embodiment of Work). The creation of this painting work provide more insight into the tools, materials, techniques of working on a work. The results obtained from the creation of the work are paintings inspired by the context of the 2014 & 2019 presidential elections for millennial youth. Another result is empirical experience and the deepening of concepts in the creation of painting works with the inspiration for the context of the 2014 & 2019 presidential elections for millennial youth.

Abstract

Mukhlisa Sabilla. C0915029. 2019. Backdrop Design for Wedding using the Macrame Technique. Final Project: Textile Craft Study Program, Faculty of Arts and Design, Sebelas Maret University. “Designing backdrop for wedding using the macrame technique” aims to explore the makame knots made into wedding decorations. The design results into an innovative product and has product differentiation. The realization of the product can add to the visual wealth of macrames that function aswedding decorations. The result of the design is a backdrop for wedding made with macrame techniques by taking the idea of the shape of flora sirih gading leaves and lotus flowers, the form of fauna butterflies, kawung motifs, wjikan, ukel/besusulan, tumpal/sorot and tassels. Backdrop consists of 3 parts, the main part is in themiddle, the complement is on the left and right. Laying the backdrop on a wooden frame inspired by the basic shape of the house. Backdrop with macrame technique offers different nuances in terms of aesthetics and visual appearance.
