Abstract

This study aims to examine the experience of implementing industrial practice with photovoice analysis through a collaborative autoethnography approach and reveal the factors that determine the success of industrial practice. This research is qualitative and uses a partial collaborative autoethnography approach. The source of research data is industrial practice activities. The sampling technique was carried out through purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through critical autoethnography, observation, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The validity test technique used was FGD. Data analysis was carried out through content analysis. The results of this research include: first, the study of industrial practice learning experiences contained aspects of togetherness and cooperation (collaboration ability category); discussion (communication ability category); involvement, contribution, initiative, responsibility, and dedication (proactive category); implementation of knowledge, fast learning, self-development, obedience, and time management (adaptive category). Second, the factors determining the success of industrial practice include a supportive partner work environment, team solidarity, student competence, and student personality.

Abstract

Productivity is a crucial parameter in achieving project objectives. This research aims to obtain the value of labor productivity on the beam structure and floor plate in home construction using the work sampling method and analyze the comparison of the labor coefficient to the Analysis of Unit Price of Work (AHSP) in 2022. Experimental quantitative research describes this approach, utilizing information gathered through documentation, questionnaires, and participant observation. Data analysis in this research includes Data Uniformity Analysis, Data Sufficiency Analysis, Labor Utilization Rate (LUR), and Spearman Correlation. The findings revealed that the beam concreting job in home construction achieved a labor productivity rate (LUR) of 61.61% and 84.417 kg/person. In the floor plate concreting work, labor productivity reached 98.787 kg/person with a LUR value of 54.10%. Meanwhile, in formwork work, labor productivity reached 3.577 m/person with a LUR value of 53.37%, and in casting work, labor productivity reached 1.287 m/hour with a LUR value of 53.37%. Correlation analysis shows a positive relationship between Labor Utilization Rate and labor coefficient in concreting and formwork works. This indicates that the more efficient the labor, the higher the productivity in carrying out these activities, and the smaller the coefficient value obtained

Abstract

The position of Bengkulu Province, which is flanked by the subduction zone between the Euro-Asian and Indian-Australian plates to the west, and the Sumatra Fault zone to the east, makes Bengkulu City one of the areas prone to earthquake disasters. Muara Bangkahulu District is one of the sub-districts in Bengkulu City. Muara Bangkahulu sub-district is an area that functions as a government centre, trade and service centre, and one of the education centres in Bengkulu City. This study aims to determine the ground response in the Muara Bangkahulu sub-district area during an earthquake. The wave propagation method used in this study is a one-dimensional equivalent of linear and nonlinear modelling that propagates earthquake waves from bedrock to surface. The results of this study are Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA), amplification factor, earthquake acceleration time history, and acceleration spectra response. The results of this analysis will be compared between equivalent linear and nonlinear values. The results of this study can also help us realise and further consider the value of seismic design in the Muara Bangkahulu sub-district area, mainly if a stronger earthquake occurs in the future.

Abstract

The World Class University trend in higher education has an impact on the need for planning in the research aspect because the quantity and quality of research are very influential in global university rankings. This research explores planning strategies as well as challenges and obstacles in efforts to increase the research productivity of lecturers in the Building Engineering Education Study Program, Universitas Negeri Jakarta based on the perspective of the study program coordinator. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach using data collection techniques in the form of documentation complete with interviews with the study program coordinator. Some of the plans carried out by the study program to increase lecturer research productivity include the 1 lecturer 1 publication per year program, expanding cooperation and collaboration with national and international universities in research and scientific publications, holding international scientific article publication workshops, initiating collaboration with industry in the field of research and forming a research team of lecturers. The obstacles and challenges faced by the study program include lecturer workload, resources, funding, and research administration burden.

Abstract

Urban drainage is a network system for waste disposal in urban areas that functions to manage or control surface water, so that it does not disrupt or harm the community and provides benefits for human activities. This research aims to create synergy and steps for the implementation of eco-drainage in the urban characteristic conditions of Karawang Regency. The method used involves data collection through observation, interviews, historical data analysis, and mapping based on SNI Number 02-2406-1991 regarding the General Planning Procedures for Urban Drainage. The research results indicate that the Eco drain infrastructure consists of 7 elements, namely rainwater harvesting, infiltration wells, retention ponds, trash filters, bioremediation, biofilters, and water quality treatment using constructed wetlands. Meanwhile, the local government of Karawang Regency does not yet have the infrastructure to implement eco-drainage. After conducting an analysis, it was determined that among the 7 elements of eco-drainage, rainwater harvesting is the most needed to address the issues of flooding and drought in the Karawang area. The research results also include calculations and explanations regarding the Eco drain facilities for rainwater collection on a land scale and environmental/community storage tanks, as well as the quality of rainwater in Indonesia.

Abstract

Indonesia's rapidly growing construction industry is a key economic driver, presenting both challenges and opportunities for graduates of the Building Engineering Education Program. Higher education plays a crucial role in developing competent human resources with the relevant knowledge, skills, and expertise to meet industry needs. This study maps the qualifications of technicians and analysts based on the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) in the construction sector and analyzes the alignment of competency units with Building Engineering Education State University of Jakarta course outcomes. The analysis of SKKNI data from 2024 found that out of 71 job levels in the building subclassification, 14 are for technicians or analysts at KKNI levels 4 to 6, but only 10 have detailed SKKNI documents. In the construction management classification, there are 39 job levels, with 16 for technicians/analysts, all with detailed SKKNI documents. The analysis indicates that 11 job levels are relevant to Building Engineering Education course outcomes, while two are not. Specifically, several job levels in both subclassifications are rated from Relevant to Very Relevant. To address curriculum gaps, recommendations include strengthening the existing curriculum and adding new courses. This study aims to provide a foundation for curriculum revitalization, ensuring Building Engineering Education graduates are competitive in the labor market and meet the evolving needs of the construction industry.

Abstract

The learning model is one of the main factors that need to be considered in the learning process. This study aims to reveal the effect of applying the “EkRenFaTiHa” entrepreneurship learning model in vocational high schools. The research design is quasi-experimental. Determination of the sample using the purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation, and tests the prerequisite tests carried out are validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, and hypothesis tests. The research location was in class XI at one of the state vocational schools in the Province of DIY. It was agreed with the school that it was not permissible to mention the name of the school, so the research location was named X’s vocational high schools. The results of the hypothesis testing showed that the cognitive value in the experimental class was significant, which was 0.001, where the value was < 0.05. This means that the “EkRenFaTiHa” entrepreneurship learning model can have a significant influence on student learning outcomes in the subject of creative products and entrepreneurship. While the value of product results in the experimental class is still higher than in the control class. The experimental class got an average product value of 75.455, while the control class average product value was 74.773.
