Abstract

Underpass is an infrastructure built by the government below the ground level to alleviate traffic congestion in large cities. The box culvert system serves as the construction for underpasses. The selection of this system has a significant impact on quality as it will affect the quality of work. The BSD underpass project on the Serpong - Balaraja toll road (Interchance Legok Area STA 9+800) needs to improve its quality because the results of the work do not meet the required standards. The aim of this research is to determine the most influential factors in the quality of underpasses and the implementation of lean six sigma. The research utilizes the Relative Importance Index (RII) method and the Lean Six Sigma method. From the research results, it was found that the most influential factor is ensuring that every incoming material meets the desired quality standards in the quality control variable. In addition, the analysis using Lean Six Sigma in Box Culvert work resulted in a DPMO value of 6058 per one million or equivalent to 4.133 sigma with a yield of 99.39%, thus requiring evaluation through the the DMAIC method Define – Measure – Analyze – Improvement – Control) to reduce defects and improve quality.

Abstract

The Centralized Domestic Wastewater Management System (SPALD-T) projects play a crucial role in improving urban sanitation but face various risks that can affect project performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of risk factors on SPALD-T project performance in DKI Jakarta. Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, data were collected through a survey of 125 members of the SPALD-T project team. The questionnaire used has undergone validity and reliability tests to ensure accurate measurement of variables. Multiple regression analysis was employed to test the relationship between risk factors and project performance. The results indicate that waste management risk has a significant and positive influence on project performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.188 and a p-value of 0.001. Meanwhile, technical risk shows a positive trend but is not statistically significant, with a regression coefficient of 0.104 and a p-value of 0.078. These findings emphasize the importance of a comprehensive risk management approach, especially in waste management aspects, to improve SPALD-T project performance. This research contributes to the development of more effective risk mitigation strategies in the context of sanitation infrastructure projects in Indonesia and highlights the need for further research on the interaction between various types of risks in influencing project performance.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a priority scale system (PSS-TJ) based on Quick Community Response (QCR) for effective and efficient improvements to the TransJakarta route. Using aqualitative approaches with a case study in DKI Jakarta over 6 months, this research involved in- depth interviews with key stakeholders, fields observations of infrastructure conditions, and secondary data analysis from 13 official complaints channels. The research results identified six main criteria for priorities repairs, with the highest weights being the type of crack (0.25) and the width of the crack (0.20). The Road Damage Index (RDI) mathematical model was developed for an objectives assessment of the level of road damage, with Corridor 13 having the highest Road Damage Index (RDI) score (15), indicating the most urgent repairs needs. The integration of CRM data in decision making has been proven to increase the accuracy and responsiveness of TransJakarta infrastructure management. This system has the potential to significantly improve the quality of TransJakarta services, with a projected increase in travel time efficiency of up to 15% and user satisfaction of 20%. Furthermore, this Community Response (QCR) based priority scale system (PSS-TJ) can be an innovative model for Transjakarta road improvement systems in other cities in Indonesia, enabling resources optimization and increasing public participation in urban transportation infrastructure management.

Abstract

The construction of an international school in the Jakarta Garden City area requires additional embankment soil, which creates a potential landslide risk due to elevation differences. This study aims to recalculate the safety of the slope conditions. The results of the analysis of the original slope condition without reinforcement using the Fellenius method yielded a value of 1.239, and this was clarified in the Plaxis analysis with a safety factor value of 1.2445. From these two analyses, the safety factor value is considered unsafe because the minimum safety factor for slope stability is ≥ 1.5 according to SNI 8460:2017 standards. Therefore, several reinforcement alternatives need to be considered. This study uses two reinforcement alternatives: cantilever retaining walls and geotextile reinforcement. The analysis of cantilever retaining walls yielded results of 2.233 for overturning failure, 1.657 for sliding failure, 3 for bearing capacity failure, and a global failure analysis aided by the Plaxis application resulted in 1.9753. All these safety factor values indicate that the retaining wall design is safe. Furthermore, in the stability analysis with geosynthetic reinforcement, a value of 1.556 was obtained, and this was clarified in the Plaxis analysis with a safety factor value of 1.7088. Based on the safety factor results of these two alternatives, the use of cantilever retaining walls is safer.

Abstract

Bengkulu City was hit by major earthquakes in 2000 and 2007 with magnitudes of 7.9 Mw and 8.6 Mw. In 2022 BMKG Baai Island, Bengkulu City, said that there is a potential for an earthquake with a maximum magnitude of 8.9. This study was conducted to determine the response of soil layers due to megathrust earthquake wave propagation in Selebar district, Bengkulu City. The study began with field investigations at six points. The seismic response analysis was built based on a one-dimensional wave propagation model with non-linearity. The 2007 Bengkulu-Mentawai earthquake wave with a magnitude of 8.8 Mw was applied as the input wave. PGA, acceleration response spectra, and amplification factors are presented in this study. The resulting PGA ranged from 0.328g - 0.453g. Five points experienced amplification with amplification factors of 1.093 - 1.317. The spectral acceleration has generally exceeded the applicable design spectral acceleration at a period of 0.2 seconds. The spectral accelerations have generally exceeded the applicable seismic design at short periods, with maximum values of 1.27g - 1.64g. So it is necessary to update the seismic design for building planning in Selebar District, Bengkulu City.

Abstract

The number of churches in West Jakarta shows an increase. Despite the growth in quantity, the decline in the quality of church buildings is a concern. This decline is mainly caused by aging structures, climate conditions, and lack of maintenance and preservation. The collapse of the ceiling is one of the impacts. This research applies the CSP 1 matrix, a visual assessment method, to examine the condition of church building components systematically. CSP 1 matrix enables researchers to evaluate defects, prioritize repairs, and assess the overall rating of church buildings. Research indicated that 63% of churches are in good condition, while 37% are in fair condition and none classified as dilapidated. Issues identified include discoloration and peeling of paint on architectural components, structural cracks ranging from 0.2 to 1 millimeter, and loose electrical sockets. These defect results are due to weather, material quality, building age, and inadequate maintenance planning, compounded by financial constraints in churches with smaller congregations. Matrix value variations reveal different levels of maintenance for each church building. Higher matrix values require better planning and prioritized repairs to maintain quality and ensure functionality and safety.

Abstract

In the 21st century, globalization and digital transformation have changed life patterns significantly. Digital technology is now at the center of almost all aspects of life, including the education sector in Indonesia. Technological skills and readiness to face the job market demands are critical. Vocational education, including vocational schools, aims to equip students for global market competition but continues to encounter obstacles in enhancing the quality and relevance of its programs. The proposed solution is the development of flipbook- based learning media with Augmented Reality (AR) to increase student engagement and skills in this digital era. This study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach, involving a population of 149 vocational school students from West Java. The research results show that using Flipbook with AR produces an N-gain score of 74.3%. With this N-gain value, the VocAR-Flip model effectively improves vocational school students' learning outcomes, especially in academic achievement and conceptual understanding. This research can contribute to developing more interactive and efficient learning technology for future education.

Abstract

Project delay is a major issue in execution, often causing cost overruns if not addressed. Acceleration helps meet targets and increase profits. Research on fast track and crash programme methods is extensive, but mainly focuses on case studies rather than risks or work quality. Building X’s construction project faced a 3rd-week delay, extending from 23 weeks (December 2022) to 25 weeks (January 2023). This study aims to determine the most time- and cost-efficient acceleration method using primary (questionnaire) and secondary data (S-curve, unit price analysis, budget plan, and project reports). Applying fast track and crash programme methods along with risk frequency analysis, the study identifies the fast-track method as optimal, reducing project time to 22 weeks with 12% efficiency and Rp. 759,698,484.61 in cost savings. However, a potential risk is concrete cracks due to acceleration. This research complements previous studies by integrating risk analysis and quality assessment in fast-track acceleration.
