Abstract

Learning methods using technology such as e-learning, online-learning or blended learning have begun to be applied. In the context of facing the 4.0 Indonesian Revolution, Indonesia is trying to improve three new literacies, namely technology literacy to understand the workings of machines, technology applications (Coding / Programming, Artificial Intelligence & Engineering Principles), data literacy for reading, analyzing, and using information (Big Data) in the digital world and human literacy for communication skills, collaboration, critical thinking, creative and innovative as well as having leadership skills, team work and so on. The Ministry of Higher Education (Dikti) also launched the Indonesian Online Learning System (SPADA) to improve access to quality higher education in Indonesia. Generation Z is the generation currently in tertiary education, so they automatically become the main target in the implementation of SPADA and the increase in the three literacies. Generation Z has certain characteristics that are different from other generations. This literature review research aims to find out whether the application of learning by using technology can increase or even lower human literacy in Generation Z in Indonesia. The method used in this research is literature review. The results show that the use of technology in learning is still difficult to be able to increase human literacy in Generation Z because they tend to have difficulty communicating directly, instantly and fading cultural and religious values.

Abstract

The role of a village office in rural areas is important in community services, especially those related to administration. At present the administrative processes of the community at the Tanimulya Village Office such as making various letters of introduction / information are still carried out conventionally and unorganized, so that queues often accumulate at the Tanimulya Village Office. Villagers in Tanimulya also often complain about the difficulty of reporting and complaints about various things or provide suggestions for the progress of the village. In addition, the lack of information media that is easily accessible by residents causes residents difficulty in accessing important information or news issued by the Tanimulya Village Office. For this reason, the author suggests how to design and build a community service information system in Tanimulya Village in solving these problems. The author conducts primary and secondary data collection, analyzes data, designs and builds using prototype models with the Unified Modeling Language tool, tests using the black box method, and implements it thoroughly. As a result the information system that was built based on a website in the internet network involved the community, RT heads, RW heads, staff and heads of Tanimulya Village. With this information system able to streamline the administrative services of the community and streamline the distribution of information to the people of Tanimulya Village.

Abstract

The Cimahi Regional RPJP 2005-2025 states that population growth and its distribution have become strategic issues and need to be addressed in a gradual and continuous manner, therefore monitoring population distribution is something that must be carried out sustainably. The software development method used is the Rational Unified Process (RUP) method. RUP uses the object-oriented concept, with activities that focus on developing models using the Unified Model Language (UML). This research aims to build a geographic information system that displays a mapping of population distribution in Cimahi City. The data was obtained from the Cimahi City Central Statistics Agency publication. This system was built using QGIS to build maps, PostgreSQL for database management and PHP programming language to display maps to web pages. The final conclusion of this study found that the geographic information system that was built can show information about the distribution of residents of Cimahi City well so that the government can determine more appropriate policies.

Abstract

Image captioning is one area in artificial intelligence that elaborates between computer vision and natural language processing. The focus on this process is an architecture neural network that includes many layers to solve the identification object on the image and give the caption. This architecture has a task to display the caption from object detection on one image. This paper explains about the connection between scientific revolution and image captioning. We have conducted the methodology by Kuhn's scientific revolution and relate to Popper's philosophy of science. The result of this paper is that an image captioning is truly science because many improvements from many researchers to find an effective method on the deep learning process. On the philosophy of science, if the phenomena can be falsified, then an image captioning is the science.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country in which there are many volcanoes, with 76 mountains declared active throughout the islands in Indonesia. Volcanic disasters occur almost every year and often cause many lives. One example is in 2018 the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau which caused a tsunami resulting in 432 fatalities according to BNPB data. From these issues it is necessary to make an effort to educate the community on volcanic disaster knowledge so that they can reduce fatalities. Augmented reality is one of the media that is being warmly used, there are already many fields that utilize this media as an educational medium. The purpose of this study is how to develop applications for the education of Augmented reality-based volcanic natural disasters. The model used for its development uses the watelfall model, while the testing uses black box testing and the OS used to run this application is based on Android. The results of this study are to make an information media in the form of an Augmented reality-based mobile application for volcanic knowledge natural media, the media to be created is named "simerapi".

Abstract

Telekomunikasi Indonesia is one of the companies that prioritize customers, but there is no information about customer characteristics. In this research, an analysis of customer characteristics used as a basis for determining customer segmentation and customer profiling for digital products add on Indihome services using the K-Means Algorithm. Determination of the best number of clusters done using the Elbow method and a value of K = 3 obtained, so that customer data grouped into three segments. Customer data processing is divided into 3 simulations with the percentage of train data and test data 80% - 20%, 70% - 30% and 50% - 50%. The data used totaled 1392 records as a population where the data will used to find the characteristics of each data. Cluster evaluations carried out using the Silhouette Index, Davies Bouldin Index, and Calinski Harabasz Index methods. The results of the study show that the third simulation is the best based on cluster evaluation with 50% data train presentation and 50% data test where customer profiling is seen by analyzing the members of each cluster from the third simulation where cluster 0 has 396 customer members with a customer category that provides the biggest profit for the company, cluster 1 has members of 286 customers in the category of customers who unwittingly have great potential in providing benefits for the company, and cluster 2 has a member of 14 customers in the customer category that provides fewer benefits than the cost of providing services.

Abstract

In this globalization era, marketing communication is very important to help increase sales promotion of indihome digital service products by utilizing customer location points that use indihome services. Currently there are many information systems that are used to support and solve problems in determining the location of a place. Determination of location can be done using mapping. The mapping of Indihome customers is done by utilizing a map provided by Google, the Google Maps API based on the address of the Indihome service customer. Therefore, we need a system to find out which areas use the most indihome services, so that it will make it easier to target promotions for indihome customers who have not used to add services to Indihome such as Movin, Indihome Gamers, Indihome Music, Indihome Music, Indihome Studies, Indihome Storage, Indihome Servers, Video Calls, and other additional packages. The results of this mapping can determine areas / regions that have the potential to be promoted in connection with the addition of indihome service products, so that it will have an impact on increasing customers and sales revenue of Add On products.

Abstract

The development of increasingly advanced technology has made several things begin to interfere with technology. It is undeniable that at present anything must be related to technology because it is effective and efficient. One of them is the process of disseminating information that is already using the internet to facilitate the dissemination activities. In one of the state agencies, namely Rutan Klas 1 Bandung, especially the finance department, the dissemination of information is needed, especially salary notifications through salary slips which are still manual and consumes paper and ink. In addition, one of the other problems is the provision of loans to employees who sometimes have monthly payment installments greater than the salary received, this is the lack of careful financial staff in recommending a list of loans. To solve this problem, making an application for sending pay slips via e-mail and applying the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method to provide the best recommendations for choosing a loan that avoids human error data. So after testing the application, payroll information dissemination via e-mail works well and the SAW method used also provides the best recommendations and eliminates loan data that is impossible for the employee to borrow.

Abstract

PT. X is a manufacturing company, which makes production machines and supporting parts. PT X does not yet fully have an information sistemfor company administration processes, therefore some obstacles occur because the company has not implemented a computer-based information sistem(CBIS). The company has problems with attendance, payroll, and employee loan processes. The company is currently still using Microsoft Excel as a tool for employee administration activities. The use of MS. Excel is quite helpful, but there are still deficiencies in the process of recording data and reporting. Therefore, it is necessary to design a sistemthat is connected to the database so that administrative activities can be well integrated and avoid data redundancy. In this study, the system development method used is the prototype method, while the sistems approach method used is Object-Oriented with analysis and design tools using UML. The results of this study are in the form of attendance information sistemdesign, payroll, and employee loans.

Abstract

The UPTD Puskesmas XYZ is one of the first-level health service centers that served 1034 patients in December 2016. To do so much data processing is still done manually, starting from registration to recording medical records (RM). Management of patient data and medical records still uses forms to register and record patient data of 1034 patients in December 2016. Seeing the burden of the registration section in recording registration and searching of patient data and searching for Kartu Status Pasien (KSP) must be done manually. The Waterfall Model is one of the models in the development of the system, starting with the stages of data collection using the method of observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation studies of the running system. The next stage is system design, the tools used are flowcharts, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), and Data Flow Diagrams (DFD). Health service system design web based is expected to built a system to assist the registration in facilitate the search for patient data and management from patient data to medical record quickly, precisely and accurately.
