Abstract

The library becomes an important place for students, as well as educators in finding information about knowledge. The presence of technology must be able to be used by libraries to improve library of services and accessibility to information. The library at SMK Merdeka Bandung requires the application of information technology as a supporting tool for managing library service activities. Library activity services have not been able to run well marked with several obstacles that arise. The purpose of this study is to make the library at SMK Merdeka Bandung able to apply information technology in the form of computerized information systems in the services as provided to library members. The study was conducted using qualitative descriptive methods with the method of developing protoyping systems and structured approach models. Development of information system applications using the Java programming language. The results of this research can produce a desktop-based information system application that is capable of handling library services including; member registration services, loans, returns, stock, library catalog services, and damage and loss replacement services. With the application of this information system can make library activities at Merdeka Vocational School Bandung become more computerized so that the problems that arise can be resolved properly.

Abstract

PT. Andalas Biotechnology Saiyo Padang is a company engaged in providing medical materials and equipment. In carrying out its business services, the administration process of the company has not used software specifically in the form of management information systems. A company certainly has a company data processing report. At present the data processing is still manual, resulting in not optimal performance of PT. Andalas Saiyo Biotechnology Padang. With the creation of a new management information system, it will be able to provide fast and appropriate output for the decision making process. The system development method used in this research is the waterfall method and uses Unified Modeling Language (UML) tools. Management information systems are developed with a website-based framework, using the PHP programming language (Pear Hypertext Preprocessor) and MySQL database as a database server. The final result of this research is the creation of a management information system of PT. Saiyo Padang Andalas Biotechnology that can help employees manage Company data that is well-systemized.

Abstract

SMK Teknologi Industri Pembangunan Cimahi merupakan salah satu Lembaga Pendidikan swasta yang terletak di Kota Cimahi. Sistem informasi akademik yang sedang berjalan di SMK Teknlogi Industri Pembangunan Cimahi saat ini belum menggunakan sistem informasi yang terkomputerisasi sehingga memiliki kendala-kendala yang dihadapi seperti pada proses pendaftaran siswa baru, proses penjadwalan kelas, dan proses penilaian siswa. Sehingga diperlukan sistem informasi akademik yang terkomputersasi dan terintegrasi pada suatu basis data untuk menangani kendala-kendala tersebut. Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif, sedangkan untuk metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah metode pengembangan sistem prototype, selain itu penulis menggunakan metode pendekatan sistem berorientasi objek sebagai perancanan sistem yang diusulkan. Dengan mengimpelementasikan sistem informasi akademik yang diusulkan ini, maka sangat diharapkan kegiatan akademik di SMK Teknologi Industri Pembangunan Cimahi dapat berjalan tanpa adanya kendala yang dihadapi.

Abstract

English has become one of the international languages ​​in this era. In the world of education, English lessons have been given since elementary school. "Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Islam Program Plus Dibal" is one of the schools that provides English language lessons for students in grade 4. One of the material provided is the introduction of objects in the house according to the 2013 curriculum. During the English learning activities in the classroom, the ability of some students to memorize vocabulary is still weak and the students' willingness to learn is low. The purpose of this study is to make an Android-based English education game application that can facilitate students in vocabulary recall and can increase students' willingness to learn. This study uses interviews with tutors at MI Al Islam Program Plus Dibal to collect data needed in the process of making educational games. This educational game was built using Construct 2 software as well as making game assets using CorelDraw X7. Testing is done by demonstrating the game in front of students and accompanied by teachers. After the application has been demonstrated, the game is played by students alternately, then students are given a questionnaire to test the performance and usability of the game. This game has 3 menus, namely 'Belajar' Menu, 'Kuis' Menu and 'Bermain' Menu. From the results of blackbox testing, it was found that the application was running well, in accordance with the expectations of the developer. From the test results of the User Acceptance Test, the average value of 'Strongly Agree' from the 5 statements given is 69.18% which shows a high level of acceptance from users of the application.

Abstract

Media is often used in conveying procedural information to users. In the world of education media is used to convey a knowledge in the teaching and learning process called learning media. In the world of education a learning method can be presented using learning aids. But sometimes the props used are still less attractive because they are less interactive and monotonous. In this discussion students who use multimedia equipment still do not understand the procedures in terms of maintain. So it is important to build a desktop-based interactive animation media design in delivering information about the maintenance procedures for multimedia tools before practicum is carried out. So that students can understand and remember the procedures for maintaining equipment when using it. In making this interactive animation using the waterfall method so that in the making stage easier to understand and the development model can be understood the logic of the running system. The result is that with the implementation of this interactive animation media students can easily understand and remember maintenance that must be taken on multimedia equipment, through the illustrations provided in the form of animations to describe the treatment procedures.

Abstract

Aplikasi Computer-Based Test (CBT) merupakan salah satu bagian e-learning yang dikembangkan dalam pemanfaatan teknologi dan komunikasi di bidang pendidikan. Seluruh siswa di Indonesia harus terbiasa dengan adanya sistem Computer-Based Test (CBT), akan tetapi dalam praktiknya belum banyak sekolah yang memiliki sistem CBT. Dengan adanya sistem CBT, mempermudah guru dan siswa dalam melakukan kegiatan ujian, meminimalisir kesalahan koreksi, dan mengurangi kecurangan ujian yang dilakukan siswa. Oleh karena itu, SMP Negeri 6 Cimahi membutuhkan sistem CBT untuk mengurangi permasalahan tersebut. Metode pengembangan yang akan digunakan adalah prototype, penulis melakukan observasi dan wawancara dalam pengumpulan data. Sedangkan, untuk metode pendekatan sistem menggunakan OOP (Object Oriented Programming) dengan pemodelan UML (Unified Modeling Language). Implementasi dari aplikasi Computer-Based Test (CBT) ujian, dibuat dalam modul pembuatan soal dan jawaban, pengerjaan ujian, penilaian, dan pembahasan soal.

Abstract

The development of information technology causes companies to be driven to improve their services to consumers, so consumers can easily get information about available products and deal with companies. In an effort to improve its services CV. Abdi Teknologi Mandiri decided to create an on-line system (web-based) for one of its business names namely Pulsa Kita which is engaged in the sale of electric pulses with a Multi-level Marketing system. This information system focuses on the concept of DBMS (Database Management System). This system makes it easy for members to find out the latest information on the company's products, especially the Pulsa Kita program, register new members, make subsidy transactions provided by the company, withdraw subsidies, and view the list of members who are at the level below it. In addition to providing convenience for consumers / members, this system also provides convenience for company employees, especially those designated to handle this system, to be able to process and obtain information from registered member data, make copies of data, change the appearance of the system, and configure subsidy system.

Abstract

Women International University is one of the developing universities and continues to improve services to stakeholders. One form of service that needs to be improved is the new student admission information service (PMB), especially dissemination of the entrance results (USM). In the current system the results of USM are informed through sending SMS (Short Message Services). After completing USM, the PMB committee must prepare a message format and send SMS one by one to USM participants. This way certainly requires a long time. To overcome these problems, the solution offered is to build an SMS autoresponder application with aim to mkake the information service on USM results automated. Method used is object-oriented method and prototype system development method to build SMS autoresponder application. Based on the results of tests conducted 10 times, the SMS autoresponder application can answer and send incoming filter test information, which is in the time span between 16-35 seconds with an average time of 22.22 seconds and the fastest time of 16.68 seconds.

Abstract

The use of Gadgets and Social Media at this time can not be separated from everyday life. This can lead to gadget and social media addiction. This study aims to answer whether the phenomenon of gadget addiction and social media is a scientific reality or not in Indonesia. Data was collected by a survei of 1601 respondents. Before the questionnaire was distributed, pearson product moment validity and reliability tests were performed with Cronbach’s alpha and the results showed that all questions on the questionnaire were valid and reliable. Based on the survei results, 42.45% of respondents experienced mild addiction, 10.82% of respondents experienced moderate level of addiction, and 0.38% of respondents experienced a very strong addiction to gadget. While the results for social media addiction, 37.50% of respondents experienced mild addiction, 7.85% of respondents experienced moderate level of addiction, and 0.38% of respondents experienced a very strong addiction to social media. In terms of the philosophy of science, Gadgets and Social Media Addiction is said to be science and not pseudo science because it has fulfilled the characteristics of science that is logical, empirical, and falsifiable. So it needs special attention from the community on the existence of gadget and media sosial addiction, so that this addiction can be anticipated and the symptoms can be minimized.

Abstract

Orchid Forest is one of the educational tours located in Cikole, Indonesia. Orchid Forest is often used as the location of events. However, not much information about Orchid Forest is available on the internet. Promotion and information are limited to the Orchid Forest’s Instagram feed. To be able to get more information, the customers must contact or visit the Orchid Forest. Most of the customers of Orchid Forest come from out of town. Mostly they know Orchid Forest by word of mouth. Orchid Forest does not have any other media to expand the reach of its promotions, where customers can get adequate information about the procedures and costs of renting event locations in Orchid Forest. Therefore, it is necessary to design a website that can present adequate information about Orchid Forest. The system approach method used to analyze the system is an object-oriented approach and the system development method used is the waterfall. The design of the reservation information system is the aim of this study. The system was designed not only as a promotional medium but also as an information system that allows customers to make a reservation for event locations and payments through the website.
