Abstract

The research aimed at investigating the content of lignin and tannin in the peel of goroho banana fermented as laying hens’ feed. It was arranged based on a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 repetitions. The treatments were P0= goroho banana’s peel without fermentation, P1= goroho banana’s peel fermented with 0,3% Rhyzopus olygosporus, P2= goroho banana’s peel fermented with 0,3% Trichoderma viride, P3= goroho banana’s peel fermented with 0,15% Rhyzopus olygosporus + 0,15% Trichoderma viride. The data were analyzed, occupying the least significance test. Findings revealed that the nutrition of goroho banana’s peels fermented as laying hens’ feed has significant differences with lignin and tannin (P 0.01). The lowest lignin content was in treatment P3 (16,23), while the lowest tannin content was in treatment P1 (0,20). It can be concluded that the goroho banana’s peel that can be utilized as laying hens’ feed was the peel that had been fermented with 1,5% Rhyzopus olygosporus + 1,5% Trichoderma viride containing 16,23% lignin. However, the peel fermented with Rhyzopus olygosporus contained tannin for 0,20%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the dry matter and organic Ingredients of Kampung Super chicken which was given fermented corn straw (JJF) as a substitute for rice bran in the ration. This experimental research used a completely randomized design (CRD), with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment of this research was P0 (control) = basic ration containing 20% bran., P1 = basic ration containing 15% bran + 5% JJF., P2 = basic ration containing 10% bran + 10% JJF., P3 = basic ration containing 5% bran + 15% JJF., P4 = basic ration contains 20% JJF. The parameters observed were the dry matter and organic matter content of Kampung Super chicken. Analysis of variance was used for data analysis. The results showed that the addition of JJF did not affect (P 0.05) the dry matter and organic matter content of Kampung Super chicken meat. Fermented corn straw as a substitute for rice bran up to 20% in the ration does not have a significant effect on dry matter and organic matter of super native chicken meat and can be used as a substitute for bran in the ration.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the performance of Bali cow production fed with field grass and complete wafer of sago pulp. The method used is a randomized block design (RBD) with 4 treatments 0% sago pulp, 10% sago pulp, 20% sago pulp, 30% sago pulp, and 2 replication. Variable researched are the increased consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion ratio. Data is processed according to diversity analysis of the random group obtained by the mean shows no significant importance (P 0,05) to food consumption, body weight gain, and wafer conversion were relatively similar during the study. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the use of complete wafers with basic ingredients 30% sago pulp cannot improve the production performance in terms of consumption feed, growth in body weight, and feed conversion. Consumption of feed is about 4,66 – 4,83 kg/head/day, body growth between 0,00 – 0,455 kg/head/day and the range of conversion is between 0,00 – 24,83.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate body weight gain (PBB), ration consumption and ration conversion of Kampung Super chickens fed with turmeric flour in their rations. Single factor analysis was used in this study. Turmeric flour was given in stages: 0% (control), 2%, 4%, and 6%. Based on the results of the evaluation for ration consumption, it showed that the provision of turmeric flour was not significantly different (P 0.05) on the ration of super native chicken consumption. The average feed consumption is 324.39-338.69 g / head. Evaluation of body weight gain, showed that giving turmeric flour had a significant effect (P 0.05) on body weight gain. The ration conversion evaluation showed that the use of turmeric flour had a significant effect (P 0.05) on the ration conversion of Kampung Super chickens. The addition of 2-6% turmeric flour to native chicken rations showed an increase in body weight, a decrease in ration conversion. The recommendation for using turmeric in the super native chicken ration is 4% of the total basal ration
