Abstract

The phenomenon of visual branding in advertising is increasingly important because it affects the image and acceptance of politician officials, especially among millennials and Gen Z who are apathetic to politics. The use of local elements such as the Mandalika Circuit in advertisements by political officials is aimed at attracting young voters, but it is often less authentic and creates negative perceptions of politicians and promoted events. The research is important because of the gap between politicians' expectations of attracting young voters and the reality of their acceptance of ads that use certain branding elements. This study aims to determine the representation and acceptance of Millennials and gen Z people towards Mandalika circuit promotional advertisements involving visuals of officials or politicians. This research uses qualitative method with reception analysis theory owned by Stuart Hall. This study used focus group discussion (FGD) with 10 informants who saw advertisements and belonged to the Millennial and Z generations, using the purposive sampling method. Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis was used to determine the representation of advertisements, and compared with audience acceptance based on the results of focus group discussion (FGD) which was classified to obtain results using three hypothetical positions proposed by Stuart Hall. The conclusion of this study shows that the use of visuals of politicians' faces in promotional advertisements tends to be rejected by Millennials and Gen Z, who emphasize the separation between politics and sports. Millennials are generally skeptical of politicization in promotion, while Gen Z is more firmly opposed to politicization and demands integrity and ethics in political campaigns.

Abstract

In Indonesia regulations, namely the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) that are recognized as guardians, there are only two, namely the guardian of the nasab and the guardian of the judge and there is no mention of the guardian of the muhakkam. However, the reality is that in the community it is known that there is a marriage by the wali muhakkam in Batubara district. Wali muhakkam is a person appointed by both prospective husband and wife to act as guardian in the marriage contract. The legalization is because there is an opinion of jurisprudence scholars who allow marriage by the wali muhakkam. This is where there is a gap between the regulations of the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) and what happens in the coal community what should happen. From here, the problem arises that there are those who complain and demand rights in terms of the child's birth certificate and the inheritance rights that they should get, because from the beginning the bride and wife were not officially registered by the Marriage Registration Committee (PPN), so the problem became a dilemma for ordinary people who did not understand the pillars of marriage in Islam in its entirety. The purpose of this study is to find out the marriage by the muhakkam guardian  in Batubara district, as well as to find out the community's response to the MUI Batubara Fatwa regarding the prohibition of marriage by the muhakkam guardian. The research method used in this study uses the type of empirical or field juridical research and is descriptive analytical. In this case, the source of research information was obtained from the Muslim Community of Batubara district who carried out the appointment of muhakkam guardians. The results of this study show that the wali muhakkam is not valid as long as the wali nasab and wali hakim are still there.

Abstract

Currently, technological advances are rapidly developing worldwide, including in Indonesia. One technology that is currently attracting a lot of attention from the public, including children, is gadgets. However, the use of these gadgets sometimes causes people to become addicted to using them if they are not controlled. This research aims to determine the role of the Prophet in educating children and its implementation in preventing gadget addiction in children. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive-analytic data analysis techniques. The results of this research show that Prophet Muhammad has an important role in educating children, contributing to efforts to prevent gadget addiction in children. In addition, parents also play an important role in preventing gadget addiction in children, especially by being good role models as the Prophet was a role model for his people. It is very important for parents to build good communication with their children by applying teachings of the Prophet Muhammad in interacting with children. Likewise, discipline in educating children provides valuable lessons for parents in guiding their children with clear, consistent, and loving rules. Finally, parents can help children choose friends who have positive habits or engage in other creative activities that do not involve excessive use of gadgets. By emulating the Prophet's way of educating children, parents can be more effective in preventing gadget addiction in children, forming good character, and instilling strong religious values from an early age.
