Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social presence and fear of missing out (FOMO) on consumer impulsive buying and repurchase intention on e-commerce platforms in Indonesia. The research is grounded in Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) Theory, which posits that environmental stimuli (social presence and FOMO) affect internal psychological states (impulsive buying) that subsequently drive behavioral responses (repurchase intention). The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 157 active marketplace users in Indonesia. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a variance-based approach (PLS-SEM) to examine both direct and indirect (mediating) effects among variables. The results indicate that social presence and impulsive buying have a significant positive effect on repurchase intention, particularly within the context of social media interaction and digital promotional strategies. Meanwhile, FOMO does not directly influence repurchase intention. However, impulsive buying significantly mediates the relationship between social presence and FOMO with repurchase intention, suggesting that both variables first stimulate impulsive buying behavior, which subsequently enhances repurchase intention. This research contributes theoretically by extending the application of Social Presence Theory and S-O-R Theory in the context of e-commerce consumer behavior in Indonesia. Practically, the findings provide strategic implications for e-commerce platforms and digital marketers to strengthen interactive features and social cues that enhance consumers’ emotional engagement and stimulate impulsive buying to increase repurchase intention.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of Terminal Operating System (TOS) Upgrade Implementation and Vehicle Mounted Terminal (VMT) Usage on Operational Performance, with Container Data Accuracy serving as an intervening variable at Terminal B of PT Belawan New Container Terminal (BNCT), Medan. The research is driven by the strategic necessity of digital transformation to enhance port efficiency. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 63 operational employees and analyzed with SmartPLS 4.1. The results demonstrate that both TOS Upgrade Implementation and VMT Usage have a positive and significant effect on Container Data Accuracy. Furthermore, Container Data Accuracy is found to influence Operational Performance significantly and serves as a vital mediator in the relationship between VMT Usage and overall operational outcomes. These findings suggest that integrating hardware and software systems minimizes manual errors and streamlines workflow. Managerial implications recommend that port authorities prioritize sustained investment in TOS-VMT integration and workforce digital literacy to maintain a competitive advantage. Ultimately, enhancing digital infrastructure is essential for optimizing data integrity and accelerating container throughput in modern port logistics.

Abstract

This study examines the quantitative factors influencing fixed asset impairment in two Indonesian state-owned enterprises (BUMN) operating in the pharmaceutical and construction sectors under PSAK 48. The research problem focuses on declining profitability, high leverage, and negative operating cash flows that potentially reduce asset value. The objective is to analyze the relationship between Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), Fixed Asset Turnover (FATO), and Cash Flow from Operations (CFO) with asset impairment risk. A descriptive-comparative quantitative approach was employed using multi-case study data from 2022–2024 financial reports. The findings reveal that persistent negative CFO and high DAR are the main indicators of asset impairment risk, while the implementation of PSAK 48 remains inconsistent. This study concludes that a financial ratio-based quantitative model can serve as an early detection tool for asset impairment in BUMN. This research is limited to a sample of state-owned enterprises and certain quantitative variables, but has implications for increasing the accuracy of asset impairment testing in accordance with PSAK 48, with the novelty of cross-sector multi-case analysis.

Abstract

This study investigates whether effective corporate governance mitigates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) risks arising from corporate tax avoidance in Indonesian listed firms. Employing the Analytic Network Process (ANP), this research analyzes expert judgments from six professionals, including the Chairperson of the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI KAPD) Jakarta Region and five members of the IAI Central Office. The analysis is structured around four key criteria: Tax Avoidance, ESG Stability, Corporate Governance, and External Pressure. The findings indicate that corporate governance mechanisms, particularly audit quality and board independence, play a dominant role in mitigating ESG risks associated with aggressive tax behavior. High levels of tax avoidance are found to erode corporate reputation and weaken stakeholder trust, especially in the presence of strong investor and media scrutiny. This study contributes to the literature in three main ways. First, it extends ESG and tax avoidance research by integrating a network-based decision-making approach (ANP), offering a more holistic understanding of interdependencies among governance, fiscal behavior, and sustainability outcomes. Second, it provides empirical evidence from an emerging market context, where institutional pressures and governance structures differ significantly from those of developed economies. Third, it highlights the critical moderating role of governance quality in aligning corporate tax practices with ESG principles. From a practical perspective, the findings imply that regulators and firms should strengthen governance frameworks to promote tax transparency and accountability. Enhancing audit quality and board independence can serve as effective mechanisms to reduce ESG-related risks and support sustainable financial performance. Ultimately, this study underscores the importance of ethical tax practices as a strategic component of ESG resilience in developing economies.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effects of online customer reviews and perceived risk on Somethinc consumers’ purchase decisions on TikTok Shop in Batam. A quantitative survey was conducted with 100 Generation Z respondents aged 15–24 years who had previously purchased Somethinc through TikTok Shop. Data were collected using a 4-point Likert questionnaire distributed via Google Forms and analyzed with multiple linear regression. The results show that online customer reviews have a positive and statistically significant effect on purchase decisions, while perceived risk has a negative but insignificant effect. Together, the two variables explain 36.8% of the variance in purchase decisions. These findings highlight the strategic role of user-generated reviews in shaping Gen Z consumers’ purchasing behavior and suggest that perceived risk may be less salient for a well-known local beauty brand operating on a popular social commerce platform.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of green leadership and climate change awareness on personnel performance, with pro-environmental behavior as a mediating variable, at the Riau Regional Police. The study adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research population consists of 11,588 personnel, with a sample of 100 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that climate change awareness and green leadership have positive and significant effects on personnel performance. In addition, both variables also significantly influence pro-environmental behavior, which in turn has a positive effect on personnel performance. The mediation analysis reveals that pro-environmental behavior significantly mediates the relationships between climate change awareness and green leadership and personnel performance. These findings imply that strengthening green leadership practices and enhancing climate change awareness programs can encourage pro-environmental behavior and improve personnel performance within police organizations.
