Abstract

Financial Distress can be interpreted as a phase of the decline in financial conditions experienced by a company. One of the indicators is the inability of the company to pay off its debts that are due, which is caused by losses suffered by the company in several years. This study aims to analyze and predict financial distress in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange that have suffered for several years and to find out which prediction models can indicated the best financial distress. The populations in this study are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The sample in this study was determined based on the purposive sampling method and obtained a sample of 16 companies, the final observation in this study were 48 observations. The data in this study were analyzed using the Springate, Zmijewski, and Altman models. This study concludes that for sample analyzed by the Springate and Altman models, the majority are classified as having indicated financial distress and for those analyzed by the Zmijewski model only a small proportion classified as having financial distress. Furthemore, for the best predictive model in indicating financial distress is the Springate model

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of corporate governance mechanisms on accounting conservatism in Real Estate and Property Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2012-2017. In this study, good corporate governance is analyzed as a factor that can encourage the achievement of accounting conservatism. This study included the type of descriptive study verifying causality. The population in this study were Real Estate and Property Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2012-2017 with a sample of 17 companies selected using the purposive sampling method. The types of data collected and used in this study are secondary data with methods of collecting data through documentation and literature studies. The data analysis method used is simple linear regression analysis that has met the testing of classical assumptions. The results of the study indicate that the independent variable, namely good corporate governance. The results of multiple regression analysis indicate that the coefficient of determination of R Square = 67%, which means that all independent variables can explain the variation of the dependent variable, accounting conservatism is 67%.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of customer satisfaction on online purchase intention on the website Lazada. This study used 200 respondents taken from students of Business Management at the Politeknik Negeri Batam and Universitas Internasional Batam. The type of data used in this study is the interval scale. Moreover, the scaling method used in the instrument of Likert scale with 5 rating categories. Data processing techniques in this study using Spss software program 17. The results of this study is shows the customer satisfaction (role, social, best deal, product information, monetary saving, convenience and perceived ease of use) has an influence on online purchase intention. For further research is expected to increase the number of samples, change the sample or add research variables.

Abstract

The study was conducted with the aim of examining the effect of total assets and income on net income of banking companies included in the LQ 45 index. Data used secondary data from 2013-2018 from 6 banking companies included in the LQ 45 index. Data analysis method uses the assumption test classic, multiple linear regression equation, coefficient of determination test (R2), F test and t test. The results of research for multiple linear regression and F test, it is known that total assets and income have a positive and significant effect on net income of banking companies included in the LQ 45 index. The results of the t test of total assets have a significant effect on net income of banking companies but for income has no significant effect to net profit of banking companies included in LQ 45.

Abstract

The low level of financial inclusion for the poor becomes a time bomb amid Islamic finance growth as an alternative and way of life, particularly for those who believe in the application of Islamic tenets in finance. Further, the evolving of fully-fledged Islamic Financial Non-Bank Institutions, particularly Islamic Microfinance Financial Institutions (IMFIs) are one of the myriad ways in alleviating poverty. Indonesia, with the highest number of the Muslim population in the world, can reduce the poverty percentage by using Islamic social funds, namely infaq, zakah, shadaqoh and waqf. This study sheds light on how to optimise the Islamic social fund benefit for improving the poor’s quality of life; both by injecting money to provide them with a business skill and to feed people them who are poor. We use meta-analysis method to recap different findings related to maximise the usage of Islamic social funds across a different point of view, hence a fit mechanism is found to be applied. It found that Islamic social funds can be used to sustain the fund whilst enabling the poor for generating income by integrating the fund with economics activities.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine whether there are factors that affect employee turnover Intenton at PT ABC Batam. The data analysis method used in this study is to use the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method using the SmartPLS application. The number of samples used in this study is the same as the total population of 93 people consisting of administrative employees and permanent employees. The data collection in this study used a questionnaire (questionnaire) consisting of 5 exogenous variables and 1 endogenous variable, namely Turnover Intention. The results of the study are only 2 variables that have an influence on turnover intention, namely the variable of leadership and satisfaction. While the compensation variable, organizational culture and career development do not affect Turnover Intention which is indicated by the t-value greater than t-table (1.66)

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of E-ServQual and promotions on marketplace customer loyalty. Both factors can be a consideration of customer’s decision to make a purchase in marketplace. Previous shopping experience is the basis for repurchase decision that lead to the loyalty on a marketplace. The study was conducted on 100 students of the Pancasetia School of Economics in Banjarmasin by share online questionnaire. By using multiple linear regression analysis, it was found that both E-ServQual and promotion had a significant effect on marketplace customer’s loyalty. An excellent E-ServQual shows that the marketplace is able to guarantee the security of customer’s transaction. In addition, the marketplace also allows customers to communicate directly with sellers, find out the transaction status dan provide features which makes customers experience a convenience shopping. Promotion becomes an important part that cannot be ignored by the marketplace. The form of promotions such as coupons, discounts, bonuses, and loyalty programs have proven to be a factor that is considered by customer to make repeat purchase aimed at creating loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of promotion, store atmosphere and hedonic shopping motivation on impulse buying on customers of a famous Department Store in Batam. The data was obtained from distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents whose are customers on that Department Store and made a purchase at least 3 times. The data obtained were analysed by using quantitative analysis with T and F test. The result of the data analysis show that promotion, shopping motivation, and impulse buying has a positive and significant on impulse buying.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Celebrity Endorser on the purchase decision of Batam Olehlo. Respondents from this study were consumers who have purchased the product of Batam Olehlo. The population in this study is Batam community with a sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling method with the Slovin formula. The data is collected through a questionnaire which is given directly to the respondent. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis using multiple linear regressions, classical assumption test, t test with a significance level of 0.1, and the coefficient of determination. The results of this study are the three variables of celebrity endorser namely attractiveness, trustworthiness, and expertise partially and simultantly positive and significant effect on the purchase decision.

Abstract

Since the end of 2015 the government has established a policy for the conversion of Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH) and / or General Allocation Funds (DAU) in the form of non-cash as an effort to: a) Encourage the management of healthy, efficient and effective APBDs; b) Encouraging optimal and timely absorption of the local budget; and; c) Reducing cash and / or local government deposits in banks by an unnatural amount. This study is intended to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the policy, especially in an effort to reduce cash and / or local government deposits in banks in an unnatural amount.
