Abstract

Brucellosis (Keluron disease) is a strategic infectious disease with zoonotic potential, one of which is genus Brucella abortus. This research aims to detect Brucellosis in dairy cattle FH in Pagu District, Kediri Regency. This research uses two serological tests, namely the Rose Bengal Test (RBT) and the Complement Fixation Test (CFT) with descriptive analysis method. 30 cattle blood samples were taken from the coccigea vein. The blood was set aside at room temperature to form a serum. The serum that has been obtained is taken to the Department of Food and Livestock of Kediri Regency for checking the RBT. The remaining serum obtained was sent to BBVet Wates for CFT examination. The results obtained show negative results on both tests. But one of the samples with the code S9 had gone through an abortion. This might occur due to other factors such as genetic disorders, the presence of viruses such as BVD, toxic agents and live vaccines during pregnancy.

Abstract

Subclinical mastitis is a disease that often occurs in Etawa (PE) crossbreed goat farms. Farmers in handling this disease usually use antibiotics, giving antibiotics that are not right or according to the procedure can cause residues. The presence of antibiotic residues in goat's milk can have an impact on human health such as poisoning, allergies, and microbiological disorders. This study aims to determine the incidence rate and find the presence of antibiotic residues in the milk of Etawa Peranakan goat who suffer from subclinical mastitis in Aikmual Village, Central Lombok Regency. Test results from 6 samples of etawa-crossed goat milk (PE) suffering from subclinical mastitis using the Bioassay Screening Test method showed negative results containing antibiotic residues. Negative results in the sample are marked by the absence of dead bacteria on paper discs that have been soaked with milk samples from goats that are positive for subclinical mastitis, this is evident from the absence of inhibitory zones formed. The negative effect of this milk sample is due to several possibilities, namely: The stopping period of the drug has been reached and the antibiotics used are in accordance with the dose. The duration of the presence of antibiotics in milk depends on several factors, including: dose, method of administration and type of antibiotic. In general, it is applied that the withdrawal time of narrow spectrum antibiotics is at least 5 days after treatment, for the type of antibiotics that can form a depot (broad spectrum) has a withdrawal time of 1 3 days

Abstract

Subclinical mastitis is the occurrence of inflammation in the parenchymal tissue of mammaryglands due to bacterial contamination that does not show clinical symptoms lead to impacted oneconomic losses. The highest incidence of subclinical mastitis is the presence of Staphylococcusaureus bacteria contamination. Subclinical mastitis in Indonesia is reported to reduce milk productionby up to 53.5%. Pathogenesis of Staphylococcus aureus occurs in the presence of biofilm formation asbacterial immune system to protecting itself from disinfectants and antibiotics. In the last few decades, the development of plasma technology has been widely used in the medical field as cancer therapy, reducing pain, accelerating wound healing and tissue sterilization. There is no study that using theconcept of utilizing Non Termal Plasma in the field of veterinary science, especially in mastitistherapy. Non Termal Plasma is able to decontaminate Staphylococcus aureus through inhibition anddestruction of biofilms. The mechanism of action of Non Termal Plasma in repairing mammary glandtissue is through the destruction of DNA in the Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) process by increasingthe growth factor TGF-1 which accelerates the process normal cell regeneration. The objective ofthis study is to reviewing the efficacy of plasma non termal as subclinical mastitis theraphy. This studywas conducted through a narrative review approach by collecting international and nationalliterature with interval time of publication within 2010 – 2020.
