Abstract

The Indonesian Government releases the Law 6/2014 on Village. Since then, there are lively discussions about its implementation. In its 7th years of implementation, this paper intends to analyse on how and to what extent the implementation of the Village Law has determined village development in Indonesia. This paper is based on case study approach, which is conducted in seven selected villages in East Java Province. Data is collected by series of interviews with village heads, member of village council, women and youth representatives. This paper presents that there are three main popular sectors of village development in Indonesia namely institutional reform, local economic development and applied technology. On this, the paper argues that applied technology is less problematic than the other two. Institutional reform and local economic development are two sector that many problems (social and political) are identified. This relates to existing social-political structures of traditional Javanese village as well as problem of capacity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the dynamics of the political dynasty of the harahap clan government in North Padang Lawas, and how the North Padang Lawas people's response to the system of government political dynasties formed in the district. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The informants in this study were selected using purposive sampling, namely by collecting accurate data or information related to the political dynasty of the North Padang Lawas government through individuals who are believed to have sources of accurate information related to research data. The results of this study indicate that the process of political dynasties in North Padang Lawas was formed due to several reasons. The first is from family relations (familism) obtained both in continguity and marriage. Second, political dynasties are formed through the popularity of prospective leaders. Third, political dynasties are formed from the experiences created by the leaders themselves in the previous period (the quality of leadership) that builds people's trust. Lastly, political dynasties could have been formed due to the influence of the demographic composition of the people who inhabit Paluta district itself, for example the domisioner clan (clan) that inhabited the district, namely the harahap clan. Furthermore, related to the problems above, the community responded with different views, namely positive sentiments and negative sentiments, including: a political dynasty can be a threat to us Indonesians, especially the North Padang Lawas district because it can endanger social mobilization and damage the regeneration of political journeys, as well as the occurrence of practical and dirty political practice.

Abstract

Advances in today's communication technology have allowed people to interact with each other with foreign cultures. So, in the process, it is not uncommon to find cases which are later found to be put into a category where ethics can be neglected at the regional level which is indirect [12]. The Youtube platform, which in the process, has in fact carried out the function of mass media, for example, by having a significant effect as the main supplier of information needs for the audience, will certainly really need creator content that can prioritize ethics. And, to take it further, users are also part of the industry. It becomes a problem when luxury exhibitions are made into content, because there is an element of social inheritance that the Youtube Platform has in terms of the function of mass communication. Where this condition can then be interpreted as the mass media also has a function as an educator by passing on ideas from figures or in other terms, namely transmitting culture. (Littlejohn, 2005) Is it true that luxury exhibitions are one of the topics of study that would be passed on to future generations? Considering that if you use the lens of relative deprivation—where relative deprivation is described as a situation that does not have a match between the realities of life experienced and the definition of a decent life, between expectations for a job and the life experienced [13]—then it becomes a new question. if the phenomenon of showing off luxury carried out by these influencers is then justified. Because vlogs on the youtube platform in the process are then considered to be one of the benchmarks in living life by digital natives who are filled by the younger generation. If the answer is that luxury exhibitions can increase the motivation of users or viewers to work harder, then know that not everyone has access to become rich and can play this luxury. The reason people at the top level work together to maintain the stratification system is that they benefit from the stratification system and the way in which rewards are distributed [23].

Abstract

In developing societies, the elderly in Indonesia are generally cared for by their own families traditionally. However, that does not appear to the transgender community in their old age. The discrimination experienced by waria (transgender in Bahasa, red.) begins when they decide to follow their identity as a woman at an early age. During their lifetime, transgender women frequently get discrimination and rejection from the social environment, which causes them to be unable to function socially in a proper way. Fortunately, those experiences are not the case for elderly transgender who lives under the protection of Anak Raja Transgender Shelter established by the Indonesian Transgender Communication Forum (FKWI). This study examines how elderly transgender women in Anak Raja Transgender Shelter can function socially and be accepted by the environment. The case of positive deviance that occurs in elderly transgender women, in social science studies, is said as a case of Positive Deviance. This research is a qualitative study that applies in-depth interviews for data collection. The main informants are elderly transgender women who are more than 60 years old and have been under the protection of Anak Raja Waria Shelter for at least 1 year. Social functioning in the elderly is a multidimensional concept so that the assessment requires several things to be explored such as social support, social networks, social resources, social roles, role functioning, and social activities. This study found that elderly transgender women at the Anak Raja Waria Shelter can fulfill the five assessments because the strong social support comes from both the community itself and the social environment in where they live.

Abstract

This research uses a correlational research and SITOREM analysis which consists of two independent variables, namely Serving Leadership and Self-Efficacy and one variable that is tied to Teacher Creativity. This research was conducted at MA Negeri in Bogor Regency in 2021, with a research population of 147 and there are 108 samples selected using proportional random sampling. The method used in this research is survey and data analysis techniques, with statistical statistics and simple linier regression and multiple linier regression. The research result, namely: first, there is a significant positive relationship between the variable serving leadership (X1 and teacher creativity (Y) in the form of the regression equation Ŷ= 65,167 + 0,504 X1 and the validity is ry1 = 0,511 and the coefficient of determination r2y1 = 0,261. Second, there is a significant positive relationship between sel efficacy (X2) and teacher creativity (Y) with regression of the equation form Ŷ= 62,883 + 0,482 X2 and the path coefficient ry2 = 0,584 and the coefficient of determination r2y2 = 0,342. Third, there is a positive and significant relationship between the serving leadership variable (X1 and self efficacy (X2) together with teacher creativity (Y) expressed in the form of regression equation Ŷ= 39,904 + 0,305 X1 + 0,366 X2 with the subordinate coefficient ry12 = 0,646 and the coefficient of determination r2y12 = 0,417. Based on these things, it can be argued that teacher creativity can be increased throught increased serving leadership and self efficacy.

Abstract

The number of recipients of the KJP Plus program at SMP Negeri 257 Jakarta, which has increased from 2019 to 2020, is one of the factors that requires process evaluation research. The process evaluation uses the Pietrzak theory with a qualitative approach through the purposive sampling technique. The logical framework used includes inputs and activities. The results of this evaluation study are that the process of implementing the KJP Plus program phase 1 in 2021 at SMP Negeri 257 Jakarta has been in accordance with applicable regulations. The findings of this study were that the school empowerment through collaboration with the school committee. The supporting factor for the program was the role of schools that could coordinate and provide personal social services to reach program targets. Meantime, the inhibiting factor in the process was the lack of technological knowledge on program targets which affected the timeliness of file collection. Input to the program, namely the SOP for the implementation of the KJP Plus program, needed to be conveyed to the school so that there was a uniform technical understanding of implementation in the field, thus it achieved program objectives.
