Abstract

The teacher is the determinant in the success of the learning process; it requires teachers who have professional Information Technology (IT) competence. In reality, many teachers have low IT competence. This study aims to determine IT competence for Early Childhood Education teachers in Bekasi, West Java. This research used the Survey Method. The techniques used in data collection are questionnaires and interviews—questionnaire in the form of ten questions that must be filled by respondents. The respondents in this study were 50 Early Childhood Education teachers taken by random sampling. The results of this study show the IT Competence of Early Childhood Education Teachers in Bekasi City is still low, and the need for the policies of certain parties to require Early Childhood Education teachers must have IT competence. Policies that require Early Childhood Education teachers to have comprehensive IT competencies need to be supported by regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure the effectiveness of the IT devices as media in the latest integrated technology learning. The teachers did competence due to the application of IT equipment in Early Childhood Education. They can be in line and contribute positively to the development of children's cognition, psychomotor, and practical. Moreover, Early Childhood Education is the initial phase of a child's formal education.

Abstract

Communication is very important in every relationship, both individually and in groups. When we want to communicate with other people, we do it effectively in any condition and it takes someone's readiness to receive information or questions from us. By communicating effectively, we can show a positive personality and open ourselves up to always grow and develop towards success together. In organizational communication, communication occurs both formally and informally, but in principle it discusses problems related to the service. In this article explain how to foster good communication in an organization, which aims to avoid an interpersonal conflict.

Abstract

National defense is faced with an uncertain changing strategic environment. For this reason, in order for a country to be able to maintain the sovereignty and security of its people, a state defense strategy strategy is needed that is adaptive to all changes and potential threats. The strategy of holding power during the COVID-19 pandemic is different from previous conditions. This study focuses on developing a strategy for deploying defense forces that are appropriate to deal with all these threats. The research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques from literature studies. The results of the study prove that the concept of a grand strategy which is a universal defense system has principles that are suitable for dealing with increasingly complex threats in the future.

Abstract

Women are considered different from men. This has been a society stereotype from generation to generation. Feminists want to make changes, one of which is the resistance to the stigma of society that every human being has gender equality. One of the Instagram accounts that focuses on women's rights is @SingleMomsIndonesia, where every woman has the right to have their own life and needs to support each other. Their account shared a video, namely “Para Puan”. This research uses a qualitative method and uses paradigm interpretive analysis semiotic and theory intertextual from Julia Kristeva. The result shows that every figure has different roles and human rights. Women's rights are also reflected in the rights of feminists who speak out for their rights. Most importantly, the woman must balance their roles in order, and egalitarian societal roles are necessary.

Abstract

Bullying is a serious problem which must be solved and eradicated. School is the most place of bullying action, since students come from different social background are gathered in a long time. This research investigates the case of bullying in A Girl Like Her movie. The investigations are limited into three main problems. They are type, cause, and effect of bullying. This research uses descriptive qualitatuve approach as the method analysis. The results show there are four types of bullying found in the movie, they are verbal 52.4%, physical 19%, cyber 14.3%, and relation 14.3%. The most type of bullying is verbal. Later, the cause of bullying which found in this movie is only social factor, since the intimidator has a parental problem in her family. Lastly, the effect of bullying to the victim are stress, emotional disorder, and behaviour disorder for the serious problem by trying to kill her self by drinking over dose medicine.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to derive emphirical and analytical data. Additionally, to identify program implementation, substantif problems which affect context, input, process, and product (CIPP) in implementing inclusive education in elementary school. Evaluative Research Method with the CIPP Model approach developed by Stufflebeam (1967) was used. It was intended to evaluate the achievement of Program Implementation (Context, Input, Process, Product) to determine the success or failure of the program that has been implemented. The study was conducted at Education Office and Inclusive Education Provider Education Unit. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected using interviews, questionnaires, observations, documentation studies and focus group discussions, so that the data analyzed using the above methods succeeded in evaluating the components of the context, input, process, and product. Based on the results of the evaluation, the implementation of inclusive education in public elementary schools still needs the improvement in various aspects, especially in the components of Input, Process and Product, the results of this evaluation can be used as a reference for improvement in these components.

Abstract

Batik art is a local cultural heritage that stores knowledge and local wisdom of high value. In other words batik is a craft that has high artistic value and has long been a part of Indonesian culture.   Therefore Sendang Lamongan batik is one of the cultural heritage that needs to be preserved, protected and supported by its development. This devotion tries to develop the design of Batik Sendang Lamongan motif as a result of cultural acculturation of its people, so that it can be an asset for cultural heritage. The focus and priority of design development motifs depart from the problem is still limited variety of existing ornaments. The purpose of this program is to improve the quality of batik products through the development of batik motif designs based on local wisdom.  Second, expanding the market segment, not only in lamongan area but also other regions including outside east Java province. This program method is a discussion and observation conducted to identify problems, conduct activities, training workshops on the development of batik motifs based on local wisdom, followed by mentoring, monitoring and evaluation.  This program produces new batik motifs based on local wisdom from flora natural sources, namely with The Leaves and Fruits of Borassus.

Abstract

This study aims to find a model of strengthening technological literacy in junior high schools. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation and interviews with teachers in junior high schools in the Bogor city area. This study found a model of strengthening technological literacy. This model includes elements of communication and collaboration in the form of active participation in learning and research activities. It consists of components of individual competence in the form of usage skills, critical understanding, and communicative abilities. This research contributes to the model of strengthening technological literacy for junior high school teachers in the Bogor City area.

Abstract

Lamongan is the largest sorghum producer in East Java. Patihan Village, Babat sub-district, is one of the sorghum-producing centers where the community already has post-harvest skills and processes sorghum into various food products. Standards are documented both the process, the origin of raw materials, as well as organoleptic factors related to quality; so that after the activity changes are obtained in the form of; the quality standard of sorghum flour produced from Patihana village will be in accordance with the criteria that have been determined together. Empowerment of sorghum processing groups through the application of the ISO 22000 food management system in a simple way becomes an urgent need so that various foods from sorghum produced are known and trusted as quality products by consumers and reach a wide market. adults and the elderly) , biscuits and so on with the specifications of the final product favored by consumers in general. The activities are designed in the form of an approach (socialization) to instill strong quality awareness, commitment and consistency in the production process. Further improvements are made together with the management of the production process, the application of traceability, sanitation, hygiene, documentation, packaging documentation, ISO wiring 22000. The method used is through qualitative descriptive research through: 1) Study Changes to the FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System, 2) Gap Assessment and Analysis Before Improvement 3) Determination of Changes Action Recommendations, 4) Gap Analysis After Improvement. Based on this study, prior to the improvement the sorghum processing group had implemented the requirements of FSSC 22000 version 4.1 by 50%. Corrective action using risk analysis was carried out for upgrading FSSC 22000. The success of the corrective action was proven by the results of the 80.5% gap analysis. The result of the activity was a significant change. Manage the production process for the better, sanitary and hygienic and have quality documents to be implemented carried out with commitment and consistency

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on social and economic life, especially in Indonesia. In the city of Bandung itself, this impact is felt for workers in the tourism sector such as travel business owners, tour leaders, tour guides and tourism bus drivers. The writing of this research was carried out with the aim of knowing the negative impacts felt by tourism sector workers in the city of Bandung during the Covid-19 pandemic. In this study, the authors used a direct interview method using a semi-structured interview guide instrument, with the direction of the interview aimed at: 1) Knowing the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic felt by tourism workers. 2) Knowing the survival strategies carried out by tourism workers during the Covid-19 Pandemic. From the two subtitles, it can be seen that the direct impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on tourism business actors in the city of Bandung is seen from the income aspect. Most tourism workers in Bandung City have lost their livelihoods during the Covid-19 pandemic. So that requires tourism business actors to change professions in order to survive, such as: a) Selling used cars. b) Selling designs online. c) Selling catering. d) Changing the vehicle business unit from tourism buses to inter-island buses. e) Become a private driver or online. f) Selling used clothes online. g) Selling juice and hydroponic vegetable cultivation. h) Opening employment opportunities for other affected tourism business actors in the form of local courier applications in the city of Bandung. i) Selling frozen food.
