Abstract

In the world of capital markets, indicators are used to measure changes in stock prices. A stock index is an indicator to see information about stock price movements. The existence of various information both from within the country and abroad is one of the external factors that causes the movements of stock prices to change significantly. This study aims to analyze the price movements of the companies' shares included in the LQ45 Index from the impact of a big event that is currently happening, namely the pandemic Covid-19. This study uses the method of Survival Analysis with the approach Kaplan Meier, variable of this study uses stock prices. The results of the research that have been conducted found that external factors, namely information about Covid-19 that spread throughout the world, given a negative impact on stock price movements on the LQ45 Index, namely 45 LQ45 companies experienced a decline in stock prices during the observation period, 5 of 45 companies still experienced a declined. After the observation period took place, viewed by sector, eight sectors included in LQ45 experienced a decline in stock prices at the same time during the period 02 January to 31 March 2020.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia in early March 2020 had an impact on the capital market, especially on the banking sector. This study aimed to find out the effect of the Daily Growth in Total Confirmed Cases and Daily Growth in Total Death Cases, Recovery Cases, and Social Restrictions on the stock return of the banking sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study will contribute in two ways. First, we engaged with a particular sector, namely the banking sector which is relatively scarce in the pertaining literature. Second, we involve the role of government intervention, on which, The Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) as one of the independent variables. The data were collected from companies engaged in the banking sector as many as 46 companies between March 1, 2020, and July 31, 2021. Through Panel Regression with EVIEWS software, the finding revealed that Daily Growth in Total Death Cases and Recovery Cases had a significant effect on stock return. While the Daily Growth in Total Confirmed Cases and PSBB appears to have an insignificant effect on Stock Market Return. This study contributes to investors and investment managers in making decisions in the stock market by paying attention to information related to the Covid-19 cases in Indonesia.

Abstract

As technology advances and becomes more sophisticated, consumer behavior patterns shift. The presence of such events stimulates diverse corporate industries to compete to develop innovation. Businesses in the field of financial technology also use it (Fintech). DANA is a mobile payment application that supports ATM cards for online purchases. Although DANA is a new program, it is capable of adapting fast to attract users. DANA has proven to be the third most popular app in Indonesia, with the most users and the most downloads. The goal of this research is to analyze the influence of customer behavior and product quality on the selection to use DANA as a mobile payment application. This type of research is quantitative by using descriptive data analysis techniques that use multiple linear hypothesis models with a total of 400 research samples. The results obtained from this study that consumer behavior and quality product have a significant and positive effect on partial (individual) decision making. As the results of simultaneous testing (collectively) on consumer behavior and product quality to consumer decision making in choosing DANA as a mobile payment application has a significant effect and the results are accepted.

Abstract

Technology is increasingly sophisticated so it can provide convenience for mankind. However, it is undeniable that the era of globalization has made transactions easier, but has tightened business competition. This study aims to organize the description by making it controllable. The description is balanced by analysis and delivery into the interpretation. In designing and establishing a marketing strategy, researchers first analyze market segmentation, target market, and market positioning. Then the researchers conducted an environmental analysis consisting of the internal environment and the external environment of PT Karya Lencana Mas Medan. Based on the results of the analysis above, the researchers conducted a SWOT analysis consisting of an analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats which were then combined in a SWOT matrix, intending to know alternatives which is possible in planning a marketing strategy using a marketing mix analysis consisting of product, price, place, and promotion. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded as follows. Based on its marketing strategy, PT Karya Lencana Mas Medan is considered quite good, because it has chosen the right segment and is targeted by competitors from the same industry so that the company's market positioning runs smoothly and the marketing mix implemented by PT Karya Lencana Mas Medan is also sufficient. One of the promotions that have been done is canvassing. The current location is also considered strategic because it is in the middle of the city.

Abstract

Employee turnover can create instability and uncertainty in the condition of employees, as well as an increase in recruitment costs. Therefore, a company is required to be able to retain its employees, such as being able to provide proper compensation and understand the things that can make its employees survive to keep working without reducing the overall performance of the company. This study intends to determine the effect of organizational commitment and job satisfaction on turnover intentions both independently and simultaneously. The research method used in this research is the descriptive quantitative method. The data analysis technique uses classical assumption test, and multiple linear regression analysis, while hypothesis testing uses partial test and simultaneous test. The results showed that organizational commitment and job satisfaction on turnover intentions. Simultaneously organizational commitment and job satisfaction on turnover intentions. The magnitude of the coefficient of determination of 0.67 means that the ability of the organizational commitment variable and job satisfaction to explain its influence on the turnover intention variable is 67%. While the remaining 33% is influenced by other independent variables not examined in this study such as work stress, conflict, compensation, and others. The conclusion states that partially and simultaneously, organizational commitment and job satisfaction affect turnover intentions.

Abstract

The emergence of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic that has occurred has had an impact on people's lives and has even changed the world economic order, one of which is the current industrial situation. The purpose of this study was to find out how the description of organizational support for employees’ welfare during the COVID-19 pandemic changed. The method used is qualitative research with an exploratory type. In this study, there are 10 respondents to be interviewed by researchers who work for the company. Focus Group Discussion is done by making a list of questions as a basis for collecting data. The results of the study show that organizational support during the pandemic is implementing health protocols, supervisor support, changing policies on how to work, and handling the organization for employees infected with COVID-19. The support provides positive emotions for employees, such as feeling safe and grateful. This allows employees to stay productive at work during the pandemic.

Abstract

Viral Marketing is one of the current marketing promotion techniques. Viral Marketing is a type of marketing that uses social media to achieve certain marketing goals. Marketing technology is achieved by establishing the communication process chain itself. The key to viral marketing is to attract website visitors and refer them to others they believe will be interested which will increase consumer buying. Therefore this research also aims to help marketing through viral marketing which will be very effective to be able to telling the public about the products being marketed. Qualitative descriptive methods were used, and the results obtained were that spreading social marketing through viral marketing was very effective in informing the public about the products being marketed, because the process of disseminating information through Instagram social media accounts was very fast and did not care about the time or distance of production. one marketing through viral development. The main purpose of viral marketing is to spread promotions on social media, allowing the general public to not only be a passive observer but also to participate in marketing and react to something to adopt a more positive attitude.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on employee anxiety to leave the house for activities for a long period of time, this condition triggers a decrease in work discipline in the company which is known from employees arriving late, not being in place during working hours and high levels of employee absenteeism. Another phenomenon is a decrease in employee work motivation which is known from employees who are less diligent, unfocused, less responsive, and less proficient at work. The phenomenon of work discipline and work motivation has an impact on decreasing employee performance. This research aim is to test and analyze the effect of work discipline and work motivation on employee performance at PT. Samawood Utama Works Industries Medan during the covid 19 pandemic. The method used is a quantitative approach with quantitative descriptive research. Methods of collecting data were interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression. The results obtained are work discipline and motivation individually and simultaneously affect the performance of employees. The ability of the employee performance variable to explain work discipline and work motivation is 73.4%, the remaining 26.6% is explained by variables not observed in this research such as leadership, work environment, and others.

Abstract

The problems experienced by employees at Suzuki Finance Banjarmasin include decreased work motivation and job satisfaction which affect decreasing employee performance. One indication is the high level of absenteeism and tardiness that is increasing, which is one of the factors that is thought to be the cause of the decline in employee performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of motivation, job satisfaction, and work discipline on employee performance, either simultaneously or partially, and also to determine the most dominant independent variable affecting employee performance. The population in this study was all employees of the Suzuki Finance Banjarmasin office. The research sample was 33 people using the census technique (saturated sampling) and analyzed by multiple linear regression data analysis technique using the SPSS-25 computer application. Based on the results of this study, it is known that simultaneously motivation, job satisfaction, and work discipline have a significant effect on employee performance, partially, only two variables, namely job satisfaction, and work discipline, have a significant effect on employee performance, job satisfaction has a dominant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

Purchasing decisions greatly affect the success of a business, if purchasing decisions increase, the sales volume will increase, which will have a positive impact on the company to continue to maintain the business. This study aims to determine that purchasing decisions of Wardah Cosmetic Products as a result of Product Innovation and Sales Promotion. This study also to find out how big the influence of product innovation on purchasing decisions, the effect of sales promotion on purchasing decisions, the effect of product innovation and sales promotion on purchasing decisions of wardah cosmetic products. The research method used in this study is descriptive and verification methods using path analysis techniques. The research results stated that the Product Innovation was in a good category, the Sales Promotion was in a good category, and the Purchase Decision was in a good category. The results of the t-test carried out show that the Product Innovation variable affects Purchase Decisions, and the Sales Promotion variable affects Purchase Decisions. The results of the f-test that were carried out showed that Product Innovation and Sales Promotion on Purchase Decisions.
