Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of students' understanding of body proportions in grade X of SMK Negeri 1 Stabat on their learning outcomes in fashion drawing. This study used a Nonequivalent Control Group Design with a quasi-experimental approach. Grade X DPB 1 was designated as the experimental group, while grade X DPB 2 served as the control group and served as the sample. The research instrument used was a learning outcome assessment consisting of a pretest and posttest. The control class obtained an average pretest score of 65.88, while the experimental class obtained a score of 66.97, indicating that the initial talents of both groups were approximately equal. The average posttest score of the experimental class increased to 76.52 after being given targeted therapy on body proportions, while the control class only obtained a score of 70.59. A significant difference was shown by the results of the t-test which showed a calculated t value of 3.0263 > t table 1.6686. As a result, it can be confirmed that students' learning outcomes in drawing are positively and significantly influenced by their understanding of body proportions.

Abstract

This article aims to identify the music iconology of the Yogyakarta Royal Orchestra's  (YRO) through a tourism and cultural perspective. The problem focuses on the unidentified aspects of the YRO that could become musical icons that can be developed as tourist attractions based on a cultural perspective. To approach this problem, theoretical references from (Falvy 1977) related to musical iconology and its analysis and interpretation (Buckey, 1998) are used. The main data are interviews with key actors of the YRO and visitors to the show. The results of the interviews were analyzed qualitatively using triangulation methods to ensure the credibility of the results. The results indicate that the YRO has iconological potential and can become a musical tourism icon of the Yogyakarta Palace in the form of something that can be perceived by the senses (audio and visual) because it contains and represents the culture of the Yogyakarta Palace. This is because tourists are generally only able to capture audio-visual messages, not yet reaching the stage of meaning. Further holistic research is needed regarding the tourism aspects of the YRO in an effort to form a scientific framework for the related topic.

Abstract

In the era of global business competition and the knowledge-based economy, intellectual property rights (IPR) have become strategic assets that provide significant added value to companies. This paper aims to examine the role of trademarks and geographical indications (GIs) as components of intangible assets that possess both economic and legal value. A trademark functions as an identity and marketing tool that enhances product reputation and consumer loyalty, while a geographical indication protects regional products whose quality is influenced by geographic, environmental, and cultural factors. This study employs a normative legal approach using literature research methods, focusing on legislation, academic works, and relevant case studies. The findings indicate that both trademarks and geographical indications have substantial potential as corporate assets, particularly in generating economic value and strengthening competitiveness in the global market. However, their implementation and utilization in Indonesia still face several challenges, including limited awareness among business actors, weak law enforcement, and insufficient intellectual property management capacity among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Therefore, it is essential to establish synergy between business actors, the government, and society to strengthen the protection and management of intellectual property rights as part of a sustainable national economic development strategy.

Abstract

This article addresses the limited research connecting fangirling with power relations in digital fandom and aims to analyze the role of K-Pop influencers in shaping collective opinion. The study focuses on how audiences, as active fans, perceive the symbolic influence of these figures. Employing a qualitative case study approach, the research involved participatory observation on Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram, in-depth interviews with eight informants, and an exploratory survey of 20 K-Pop fans. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis with Gramscian hegemony as the analytical lens. The findings indicate that most audiences (75%) tend to follow influencers’ directions without questioning, reflecting hegemonic practices sustained by affection, loyalty, and cultural consent. On the other hand, resistance also emerged, with some fans perceiving influencer dominance as limiting the space for open discussion. The study concludes that fangirling is a paradoxical cultural practice: while it fosters collective solidarity, it may also generate exclusivity and conflict. This research contributes novelty by framing hegemony as a fluid and negotiated practice, embedded in affective relations and digital interactions within fandom communities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the corellation between independence and self-adjustment in students from other regions at the University of Medan Area Stambuk 2024. Students from other regions face the challenge of adapting to a new environment that is different from their home region, so independence becomes an important factor in supporting self-adjustment, both emotionally, behaviorally, and value-wise. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 35 students from other regions selected using incidental sampling techniques. The research instruments included a Likert-based independence scale and self-adjustment scale. Validity was tested using Pearson Product Moment, while reliability was measured by Cronbach's Alpha. Data analysis was carried out using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between independence and self-adjustment (r = 0.648; p = 0.000). The coefficient of determination (r²) of 0.420 indicates that independence contributes 42% to self-adjustment, while 58% is influenced by other factors. Descriptively, independence is in the moderate category (mean = 79.69) and self-adjustment is also moderate (mean = 90.17). This finding confirms that the higher the independence of students living away from home, the better their ability to adapt to the academic and social environment of their area of residence.

Abstract

The northern coast of Bintan Island, Indonesia, faces recurring oil sludge pollution during the northeast monsoon, primarily due to illegal discharges from ships in the Singapore Strait. This environmental threat has degraded coastal ecosystems, reduced fishery yields, and weakened tourism-based livelihoods. Currently, there is no coordinated response involving multiple stakeholders. Cleanup efforts are limited and fragmented. This study explores ecotourism as a strategic response to environmental and economic challenges. In response, the study introduces oil sludge ecotourism as a dual-purpose strategy that integrates coastal clean-up with sustainable tourism. By reframing remediation as a conservation-oriented experience, this model aligns with ecotourism principles emphasizing ecological restoration, community participation, and low-impact engagement with nature. It offers the potential to raise environmental awareness, diversify local incomes, and strengthen stewardship. If implemented effectively, oil sludge ecotourism could transform pollution-affected coastal zones into resilient, conservation-driven destinations. This model may serve as a replicable solution for other regions facing similar challenges, demonstrating how environmental degradation can be converted into opportunities for sustainable development.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged various countries to adopt digital-based government systems to improve efficiency, transparency and accountability of public services. In Indonesia, the implementation of the digital government concept has not been fully supported by a strong legal framework in the form of a law. Currently, digital government regulations are still scattered in various laws and regulations under the law, such as Presidential Regulations and Ministerial Regulations, which do not have the same legal force as laws and are vulnerable to changes and overlapping authorities. This research aims to analyze the urgency of establishing a Law on Digital Government from the perspective of constitutional law. The research method used is normative juridical with statutory and conceptual approaches. The results show that the formation of this law is very important to ensure legal certainty, strengthen the principle of the rule of law, and regulate the division of authority between institutions constitutionally. In addition, the existence of a digital government law will be a strong legal foundation for the protection of citizens' rights in the digital space and support the realization of good governance In addition, the existence of a digital government law will be a strong legal foundation for the protection of citizens' rights in the digital space and support the realization of good governance. Thus, an immediate and serious legislative initiative is needed from the government and the DPR to draft and discuss the Digital Government Bill in accordance with the principles of constitutional law and the dynamics of digital society in the modern era.

Abstract

Modernization of development has become the development goal of the Kotabaru district government through the construction of a modern football stadium. This article aims to explore and analyze the potential social, economic, and public acceptance impacts of constructing a football stadium in Kotabaru Regency. To address this problem, a literature analysis and field data were employed. The data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews and analyzed qualitatively. This study concludes that the presence of a football stadium in the new city district has a social impact as a public space. The economic impact is the creation of formal and informal sector jobs, driving economic growth and local revenue. The construction of a football stadium has the potential to generate conflict, particularly regarding land acquisition, unequal distribution of economic benefits, and conflict between football fans. Active community participation as a form of positive acceptance in both the planning and management processes can reduce the potential for conflict, strengthen transparency, and increase social legitimacy for the construction of a football stadium.
