Abstract

This study investigated the impact of microfinance banks on poverty reduction in Nigeria, with a specific focus on their contributions to financial inclusion and economic empowerment. Despite numerous government-led poverty alleviation initiatives, poverty remains widespread, highlighting the need to explore alternative and sustainable approaches. Drawing on secondary data from the Central Bank of Nigeria and the National Bureau of Statistics, the research applies econometric methods to evaluate the relationship between microfinance operations and key poverty indicators. The findings reveal that microfinance banks play a significant role in reducing poverty by improving access to credit and supporting small-scale enterprises. The study recommends strengthening microfinance institutions through targeted policy interventions to enhance their long-term impact on poverty alleviation.

Abstract

Public services in land administration have an important role in providing legal certainty to the community, especially in the making of land certificates. However, in Humbang Hasundutan Regency, this service still faces various challenges, such as complex bureaucracy, limited administrative staff, lack of coordination between agencies, and a digital infrastructure that is not optimal. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of public services in making land certificates using descriptive qualitative methods. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis methods. The results of the study show that there are still obstacles in the land certification process, including long completion times, a lack of socialization with the community, and low-cost transparency. To increase the effectiveness of services, it is necessary to optimize digitalization, increase the capacity of human resources, and strengthen transparency through supervision and community reporting mechanisms. With better policy implementation, land certificate making services in Humbang Hasundutan Regency can become more efficient, transparent, and accountable, thereby increasing community satisfaction and legal certainty over land ownership.

Abstract

This article analyzes the influence of Work-Life Balance and Work Motivation on Employee Performance in the manufacturing industry. Work-Life Balance is measured based on perceptions of time management, workload, and flexibility, while Work Motivation is seen from intrinsic factors (rewards, recognition) and extrinsic factors (incentives, career opportunities). The study used a quantitative approach with a survey of 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that both variables had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a coefficient of ? = 0.312 for Work-Life Balance and ? = 0.428 for Work Motivation (p < 0.05). This study has limitations in sample size and sampling methods, which affect the generalizability of the results. Therefore, further studies are recommended using larger and random samples. These findings recommend companies to adopt flexible work policies, support work-life balance, and increase motivation through rewards and career development in order to increase employee productivity and retention sustaina

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Investment Opportunity Set (IOS) and Earnings Growth (PL) on Earnings Quality (KL) in Real Estate & Property sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample used was 33 companies with data for three years. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression, with various classical assumption tests, including normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation tests. The normality test results show that the data is normally distributed. The multicollinearity test shows that there is no strong relationship between the independent variables. The heteroscedasticity test shows that there is no particular pattern in the distribution of residuals. The autocorrelation test results also show the absence of autocorrelation symptoms in the model. However, the coefficient of determination test results show that IOS and PL only explain 8.6% of the variation in earnings quality. The F test shows that the regression model is not simultaneously significant, and the t test shows that neither IOS nor PL has a partially significant effect on Earnings Quality. Thus, it can be concluded that IOS and Earnings Growth do not have a significant influence on Earnings Quality in the companies studied.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership, individual abilities, and training on employee performance at the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) of North Sumatra Province. This study uses a quantitative method with a multiple linear regression analysis model to test the relationship between independent and dependent variables. The hypothesis tested in this study is that leadership, individual abilities, and training have a significant effect on employee performance. The research sample consisted of 86 Civil Servants working at the DPMPTSP of North Sumatra Province. The results showed that leadership, individual abilities, and training had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, respectively, with coefficient values of 0.351, 0.374, and 0.320, respectively. Statistical tests showed that the three independent variables had a T-statistical value of > 1.96 and a P-value of < 0.05, so the hypothesis was accepted. An R-Squares value of 0.815 indicates that leadership, individual ability, and training together explain 81.5% of the variation in employee performance. In addition, the Q-Squares value of 0.611 indicates that this model has good predictability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form and impact of self-disclosure carried out by students of SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam through the Instagram Stories feature. The approach used was qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques in the form of non-participant observations and in-depth interviews with eight selected informants. The results of the study show that self-disclosure carried out by students reflects four areas in the Johari Window theory, namely open, blind, hidden, and unknown, with the form of disclosure in the form of daily activities, outpouring of feelings, and emotional symbols such as quotes or songs. The positive impacts felt include increased self-understanding, emotional relief, and social support from peers. However, there are also negative impacts, such as social rejection and intrapersonal difficulties due to unmet expectations. This study concludes that Instagram Stories are an important expression space for students in the process of identity formation and emotional management in the digital era. Therefore, digital literacy and assistance from the school and family environment are needed so that adolescents can use social media healthily and responsibly.

Abstract

Health services are a form of public service that plays an important role in improving the quality of life of the community. This study aims to describe the quality of health services at the Pagar Merbau Health Center, Deli Serdang Regency, using a descriptive qualitative approach. The focus of the research is directed at the five dimensions of service quality according to the SERVQUAL model, namely, tangible (physical evidence), reliability (reliability), responsiveness (responsiveness, assurance (guarantee), and empathy (concern). The data collection technique was carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of health center officers and the community using the service. The results of the study show that, in general, the quality of service is quite good, especially in the aspects of facility cleanliness, service accuracy, and the friendly attitude of officers. However, there are still several obstacles that affect the effectiveness of services, including a lack of patient understanding of procedures, suboptimal information delivery, and limited health personnel. These factors have an impact on several dimensions of service, especially responsiveness and assurance. This study recommends patient education, information strengthening, and human resource improvement to optimize services.
