Abstract

Guidance and Counseling Science is an independent science which is rooted in philosophy and religion. The development of Guidance and Counselling Studies of philosophy Counseling is supported by educational science, psychology, sociology, anthropology, cultural integration and mutually reinforcing between philosophy and basic scientific disciplines and delivers philosophy that underlies Guidance and Counseling disciplines. The support of science and technology, culture, and the atmosphere becomes the basis for the development of the theory and praxis of guidance and counseling. The development of guidance and counseling is no longer confined to the school setting, but to reach areas outside of education that give situation and shades on the efforts on the implementation of the development of the more sensitive, anticipatory, proactive, and responsive individuals to the needs and demands of the development of individuals and society.

Abstract

This study is a classroom action research that aims to reduce the level of smoking habits through the application of symbolic modeling counseling techniques to students in SMP Negeri 1 Barombong Gowa District on 34 students. Two cycles were performed, the first cycle was held 5 times and the second cycle was 5 meetings. The data retrieval technique uses a questionnaire at each end of the cycle and in-depth observation during counseling with a symbolic modeling technique. The collected data were analyzed by qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the study were (1) the average value of smoking habit before counseling with symbolic modeling technique was 48.71 or was in high enough category, (2) the average value of smoking habit after counseling with symbolic modeling technique on cycle 1 is 38.6 or is in the low category, (3) the average value of smoking habit after counseling with the symbolic modeling technique in cycle II is 34.1 or is in very low category, (4) the level of smoking habit among students decrease after applied counseling with method of symbolic modeling at student at SMP Negeri 1 Barombong Gowa regency.

Abstract

Disiplin didefinisikan sebagai sikap mental yang menggambarkan ketaatan, kerelaan, kesadaran dan tanggung jawab individu maupun kelompok untuk melakukan tugas dan kewajiban berdasarkan aturan-aturan yang telah disepakati. Sebagai aspek penting yang mesti dimiliki oleh setiap siswa, peran konselor sangat diperlukan bagi pengembangan dan/atau peningkatan disiplin siswa. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi siswa tentang peran konselor dalam meningkatkan disiplin siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh setelah 246 siswa SMAN 1 Lintau, Sumatera Barat, menyelesaikan skala pengukuran persepsi siswa tentang peran konselor untuk meningkatkan disiplin siswa yang disusun berdasarkan model skala Likert. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah siswa berpersepsi bahwa konselor belum berperan secara optimal dalam meningkatkan disiplin siswa.

Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine (1) how the picture of the difficulties students express their opinions in SMP Negeri 1 Segeri ?, (2) what factors cause difficulty expressing their opinions on students of SMP Negeri 1 Segeri? (3) how the picture of the implementation of individual counseling services to help mnegatasi difficulty expressing their opinions on students of SMP Negeri 1 Segeri ?. Case study in two children who experienced trouble expressing their opinions. Data analysis, namely: Data reduction, data display and Conclusion Drawing / verification. Results (1) difficulty expressing their opinions on students such as; aspects of personality, learning aspect, the social aspect. (2) The factors causing difficulty expressing their opinions consist of internal factors such as feelings of shame or fear of making mistakes, lack of speech, lack of preparation, low self-esteem, physical deficiencies, trauma, felt unable to express an opinion, do not consider important the opportunity to express opinions, and fear that is excessive if expression .; and external factors such as a lack of social support, lack of respect and attention, lack of means of support for freedom of expression, lack of motivation from the family and the environment, and the absence of an opportunity to express opinions; (3) Results of interview counseling individuals who demonstrate the changes and development of US students and AL in some aspects such as changes to the enthusiasm of students in participating layananan individual counseling, the openness of the students in presenting the issues, the development of the ability to identify weaknesses and strengths in an effort to solve this problem, and the development of students' abilities in overcoming difficulties experienced expression.

Abstract

This study aims to determine, factors cause narcissism in SMP Negeri 1Pangkajene, And the implementation of the exercise responsible for solving the problem of student narcissism SMP Negeri 1 Pangkajene,  To find out how the implementation of the training is responsible for solving the problem of student narcissism SMP Negeri 1 Pangkajene. This research is qualitative research with Case Study study type. Technique of collecting data of this research is Observation (Observation), Interview (Interview), Documentation. Subjects in this case study study were determined by purposive are students who experience isolated problems caused by the narcissistic nature of the CNS. The results show that (1) Narcissistic forms experienced by the CNS can be seen by not being able to accept suggestions from others when they are unfavorable (egoism), often uttering offensive sentences (sadism), not caring about others Ignorant), often ruling others (curiosity), have their own assemblies that often gather with people who often give praise.

Abstract

Process evaluation and product evaluation are like two sides of the coin in the program of guidance and counseling services, both of which will have an impact on the performance of guidance and counseling teachers. This study aims to capture the effectiveness of the implementation of guidance and counseling programs in schools, especially through process evaluation and product evaluation. The research method used is a quantitative method, with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, while the analysis using descriptive statistics. The results show that product evaluation will be related to the implementation of guidance and counseling programs.

Abstract

Qualitative as the "art of understanding" is passed on as the expertise of the researcher to understand the object of research with the sophisticated efforts done through the art of speaking, the art of writing and the art of presenting what has been studied, as we can find in artists that produce fine art. Understanding qualitative research methods in guidance and counseling is viewed as an art. The term understand in qualitative research is the process of grasping the meaning of a phenomenon that is the target of interpretation in a study. In the implementation of guidance and counseling services, counselor seeks to understand the meaning of the problems of the counselee with the effort to capture the meaning or meaning of problematic faced by the counselee. The art of understanding qualitative research in guidance and counseling is a deep understanding of research methods that describe the object of research through procedures and data that are non numerical to the object of research, such as verbal data, text data, content analysis techniques, conversion analysis techniques, focus groups, analysis Discourse, and phenomenology to interpret the object of service phenomenon Guidance and Counseling.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of: 1) Digging information from alumni about the development of competencies needed by the labor market for curriculum improvement materials; 2) Conduct workplace tracking, work area, waiting time to get a job, first salary, current job, and other information from alumni of Andi Matappa. The tracer study design uses a sensory survey that is the target population of the study is 2015 graduated cohort with a total of 213 graduates, of whom 136 are from Guidance and Counseling and 95 from Mathematics Education. The data collection method used is the online method using QTAFI software (Question Table and Figure). The instrument used is a fully adapted Indotrace standard questionnaire that includes questions listed in the core questionnaire of Tracer Study Online Kemristekdikti. The results showed that alumni need a maximum of 5 months to get the first job after graduation and the three highest ways to get it through relationships, internet and advertising work. Amount 71% of alumni STKIP Andi Matappa work in government agencies. The majority of graduates have worked according to the field of science pursued during the study period, but need strengthening in some respects especially in the ability of foreign languages and computers so that graduates can work in accordance with the development of Science and Technology.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to know the description of the student's interest in continuing education to college, to know the description of learning motivation of XII grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Wayaluba Morotai and to know the correlation of interest in continuing education with students’ learning motivation of SMA Negeri 3 Wayaluba Morotai. The population in this study is 200 students. Samples were taken by using proportional random sampling. The amount of sample was set as many as 20% of the population so that the retrieved sample is 40 students. The technique of data collection was questionnaire. Techniques of data analysis in this study used descriptive statistics analysis and correlation analysis using statistic correlation analysis in the form of parametric product moment. The results showed that the students’ interest in continuing education to college of SMA Negeri 3 Wayabula Morotai was in high category of student learning and motivation was also in high category. There was a significant positive relationship between the interest in continuing education and the study motivation of the XII grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Morotai Wayabula which were in the category of very strong based on the interpretation of the value of r, since the value of r count of 0.900 so be at intervals of 0800-1,000 or category of very strong.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to know (1) The description of foster care single parent households for students, (2) The image on students learning discipline, (3) The influence of foster care single parent households toward the students learning discipline. This study used quantitative approach with correlation design to examine the hypothesis of the influence of foster care single parent households toward the students learning discipline. There are 12 students as samples, live in single parent households or fostered by single parent. Sampling method used purposive sampling. Technique of collecting data used a closed questionnaire which was analyzed to examine the validity of its value and reliability. Verifying data of questionnaires used SPSS program Version 17,0, for windows. The results of this study showed that: (1) foster care of single parent households students is in good category, means that single parents are able to provide support or responsibility toward his son to form their characters, personalities, and to provide good values for children. (2) the level of learning discipline students is in high category, means that students have good attitude or behavior obeying the rules in school activities. (3) There is a positive influence between foster care single parent households toward the students learning discipline of SMP 1 Cina. It means that students whose parents gave good foster care will have good learning discipline.
