Abstract

An architecture exhibition serves as an important platform for professionals in architecture, designers, academics, and the community. This event is utilized as a space to gather, discuss, and share views on the development of the architectural world. The exhibition functions as a medium to showcase ideas, both those that have been built and those still in conceptual form. In addition to providing an opportunity for architecture students and professional architects to demonstrate their skills and creativity, the exhibition also aims to educate the community about the importance of architectural design in enhancing the quality of life. Exhibitions serve as a form of outreach, promoting the archive to current and potential users, visitors, stakeholders, and administrators. This community service activity occurred at the Department of Architecture in Bangka Belitung. The method employed includes several stages: preparation, curation of works, collaboration with partners, execution, and evaluation. The exhibition successfully attracted public interest and served as a means to introduce and educate the public about architecture. A total of 324 people were recorded as having visited the exhibition in two days.

Abstract

Mekar Sari, a craft industry based on shell waste in Situbondo, East Java, encounters challenges related to limited production technology and monotonous product designs. These factors impede productivity and competitiveness in both local and international markets. This community service program aims to address these challenges through three primary activities: (1) assisting in the utilisation of a tuner engraving drill, a bench sander, and a CNC laser engraving machine to enhance production efficiency and quality; (2) facilitating the diversification of raw materials and the development of more innovative product designs, including the exploration of wood waste as an additional material; (3) offering training in the creation of more functional and aesthetically pleasing product designs; and (4) conducting digital marketing training to broaden market reach. The outcomes of these activities indicate a significant improvement in both the productivity and quality of Mekar Sari's craft products, characterised by more creative and appealing design variations. Furthermore, the diversification of raw materials has successfully expanded the product range, creating new opportunities for market expansion in domestic and international contexts.

Abstract

There is a discrepancy in reports between each conservation officer and this causes difficulties in carrying out supervision, resulting in a decrease in the number of turtles and slow ticket service processes. This community service activity aims to help community groups consisting of conservation groups and tourism groups in data management. For conservation groups, it is to facilitate the management of conservation data into computerization. Meanwhile, for tour groups, it is easier to process tickets with scan and print technology. Therefore, the Universitas Komputer Indonesia team will carry out training and mentoring activities for the GO-Turtles desktop and mobile-based application. This application consists of a conservation system and a ticketing system. The method used in the creation and implementation of the application uses a technological approach pattern through discussion/dialogue on the problems that occur using a questionnaire with several questions. This application will also be connected to Scanner technology and automatic Printing technology which consists of registration, mailing, conservation, and ticketing functions. The results of the conservation group's community service activities can be filled in online every day and can be saved in the application, while tourism groups, can use scanner technology and printer technology which produce tickets online and offline, and the result of this activity is the data processing process that has been successfully carried out by conservation and tourism officers

Abstract

Tabongo Timur Village, located in the Tabongo Subdistrict, Gorontalo Regency, has significant potential for developing Sacha Inchi as a leading commodity to support food security and enhance the local economy. This empowerment program aims to increase the productivity and quality of Sacha Inchi plants through social, technical, and technological interventions. The program employs the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach to actively engage the community in the planning and implementation processes. The methods used include cultivation socialization, technical guidance, product innovation training, and technology implementation for post-harvest processing. The results of the program showed a significant increase in plant productivity and the quality of Sacha Inchi products, achieved through the application of semi-organic cultivation techniques, the use of modern tools, and education related to product innovation. The training provided also improved partners' skills in processing Sacha Inchi into high-value products, such as oil, milk, jam, and snack bars. The discussion shows that this program successfully shifted farmers' mindsets towards better utilization of local potential and strengthened community involvement in productive agricultural activities. Collaboration between the village government, university, and farmer groups was key to the program's success, making Tabongo Timur Village a competitive Sacha Inchi processing center. This program can serve as a model for other villages in empowering local resources to support food security and improve community welfare.

Abstract

Since pollen and nectar are the primary food sources for bees, beekeeping is typically carried out in Kediri during the flowering season. However, the reliance on the flowering season makes beekeepers’ income insignificant and unstable. The Community Service Program (PKM) aims to assist partner organizations in enhancing research and development to produce bee forage plant varieties that bloom continuously and exhibit greater resistance to pests and diseases. The program also offers training on modern and efficient beekeeping techniques and pest and disease management and assists beekeepers in gaining market access and increasing the value of honey products. The program's focus on increasing the value of honey products creates optimism about the economic growth potential, while promoting forest conservation and environmental sustainability. Additionally, the program provides financial assistance and supporting infrastructure for beekeepers. The implementation of this Community Service Program (PKM) introduces innovative solutions through partnerships between beekeepers and honey processing factories. In this collaboration, honey factories supply supplementary feed for the bees, allowing year-round beekeeping without dependence on the flowering season. As a result, the productivity of the beekeepers has increased, and their income has become more stable and significant each month. This innovation not only improves the welfare of the beekeepers but also creates a sustainable beekeeping model that supports the development of the honey industry in Kediri.
