Abstract

The people of Turekisa Village have their main profession as coffee farmers. Lectures in Turekisa Village are one way of providing learning experiences to farmer groups as partners in Community Service (PKM) activities in identifying potential and dealing with local problems in developing the village's local potential towards an organic coffee plantation in Turekisa Village.  PKM activities aim to increase the knowledge, understanding, and skills of coffee farmers in utilizing waste for managing organic coffee plantations using a thematic and andragogical participatory learning approach as a method of implementing activities. The results of the activity show that farmer groups as activity partners can increase managerial capacity farmer groups and have awareness, insight, and skills in managing coffee plantations organically by producing organic fertilizer from skin waste coffee and utilizing organic fertilizer products on coffee plantations in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic outbreak is very detrimental to the community in the health sector, they are limited in visiting health services, there is fear and anxiety of the community to contract the Covid-19 virus. This can lead to disrupted monitoring of the growth and development of children under five in health facilities.  Child development is an important thing to pay attention to because child development in the early phase will affect child development in the next phase, around 7.6 million children worldwide die before reaching the age of 5 years and more than 190 million children who live cannot reach their potential development age. The Stimulation Detection and Early Intervention of Growth and Development (SDIDTK) program is one of the main programs of the Puskesmas. The purpose of this counseling is to increase the knowledge and understanding of parents, especially mothers, regarding early detection of growth and development problems in toddlers aged 2-6 years. Health education is carried out by face-to-face method by providing counseling using leaflets, with parents who have toddlers as participants. Measurement of knowladge can be done by giving a questionnaire measuring instrument in the form of pretest and posttest. The results of health counseling activities obtained by 30 respondents showed that at the time of the pretest as many as 13 respondents (43.33%) were in the good category and as many as 17 respondents (56.67%) were in the poor category. The conclusion in the implementation of health education regarding early detection of child growth and development monitoring has an impact on increasing knowledge and understanding in parents.

Abstract

Surabaya is currently in an urban development phase. This is indicated by the increasing population growth every year. According to data from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) in 2021, the population of Surabaya was approximately 2880284 people. The population density in Surabaya was around 8612 people per square kilometer. This number increased by 0.28 % from 2020 to 2021. The land conversion from open land to residential land in Surabaya thus increased population density. The high density of residential areas had a greater likelihood of fire hazards that were more difficult to control. It happened because they facilitated the rapid propagation of fire. In addition, the high temperature in Surabaya ranging from 22oC – 34oC was a factor that triggered fire as well. Furthermore, various activities also produced potential hazards including the leakage of LPG gas, electrical short circuits, and the residents' habit of throwing cigarette butts, coupled with the low fire safety system in buildings and the community’s lack of ability to prevent and overcome light fire. So, this was a factor that exacerbated the incidents of fires in residential areas. Therefore, the training and simulation activities of early firefighting using portable fire extinguishers aimed to provide the understanding and skill of Penjaringan Sari residents in the ignition phase of the fire. This was the way to prevent large fires. A portable fire extinguisher (PFE) was easy to use by residents for early fire fighting. The results of the training and simulation showed that there was an increase in the knowledge of the people of Kelurahan Penjaringan Sari about the material of the fire and its management. This was demonstrated by an increase in the number of correct answers in 95.5% of respondents based on pre-test and post-test results.

Abstract

Kemuning Village, Kresek sub-district, Tangerang has the advantage of adequate community self-sufficiency, starting from its aesthetic location, and many rice fields but its location is not too far from the city center. Although the stunting rate in this village has decreased, the relevant village government is not necessarily complacent by continuing to make preventive efforts, one of which is by accepting this community service team to provide additional food and also health checks. Some people who participated in the health check had blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid levels above normal.

Abstract

Breast cancer is a malignancy of the cells in the breast tissue, which can originate from the glandular components (ductal epithelium or lobules) such as fat tissue, blood vessels and the nerves of the breast tissue . This community service activity is efforts to prevent breast cancer with Breast Self Examination (BSE), this activity was carried out at SMA Muhammadiyah I Palembang City by nursing lecturers, along with nursing students with a target of 28 students of SMA Muhammadiyah I Palembang. The community service team provides health education interventions about breast cancer and demonstrations on how to do BSE to students. This prevention effort shows that the average student knowledge score before being given the intervention was 38, the average student knowledge score after being given the intervention was 68 with a mean difference before and after being given the intervention of 30, which means this activity can increase students' knowledge about cancer. breast and furthermore, it is hoped that it can reduce the incidence of breast cancer through early detection using BSE.

Abstract

Several community members in Temuroso village have created entrepreneurship with different types of businesses, such as fashion, culinary, trade, crafts, and food and beverage. Currently, the impact of the Covid-10 pandemic is still being felt by MSMEs in Temuroso, Guntur, Demak, including a decrease in turnover due to the decline in product sales and orders. The digital era is an exciting era for business and technology. The 4.0 era has had a shifting effect on marketing techniques. The benefits internet marketing offers mark this shift. In connection with this era, various efforts have been made for MSMEs in Temuroso, Guntur, Demak, including selling their products online. To better understand online sales and digital marketing as an effort to increase sales of MSME products online, MSME actors in Temuroso, Guntur, Demak, need to be given “Marketplace Design” training. The approach used in this marketplace design training is group-based, comprehensive, and competency-based. Moreover, activity methods in community service include socialization, increasing competence, implementing activities, and monitoring and evaluation. This training will be attended by around twenty MSMEs in Temoroso, Guntur, Demak. With this marketplace design training, MSMEs in Temoroso, Guntur, Demak will try to increase sales of their products online and increase their product postings on social media. This marketplace design training activity for MSMEs is beneficial for MSMEs in Temuroso, Guntur, Demak, in developing online sales of their products. Apart from that, this marketplace design training will really help MSMEs in Temuroso, Guntur, Demak to trade online.

Abstract

Stimulation, early detection and early intervention is an effort to prevent developmental deviations in a comprehensive and coordinated manner that can be held in the form of partnerships between families (parents, child caretakers and other family members), the community (cadres, community leaders, professional organizations, non-governmental organizations) and professionals (health, education and social). PAUD and Kindergarten teachers have a role, one of which is an indirect target in the implementation of SDIDTK so that it is expected to help improve the quality of early childhood growth and development and readiness to enter formal education. The goal in the form of a community partnership program is to teach kindergarten teachers to use the SDIDTK application to make it easier to monitor children's growth and development. The method used is by training teachers about the SDIDTK application and then providing assistance when monitoring children's growth and development The expected outcome after conducting SDIDTK training for teachers using the SDIDTK application is that teachers will be skilled at monitoring child development. Conclusion This application can be useful for teachers in carrying out monitoring of children's growth and development.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance the monitoring of certified Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on the Jakpreneur platform through the implementation of effective data visualization techniques. The study involves the collection and integration of MSME certification data from Jakpreneur , and utilizes Tableau Public, a data visualization tool, for in-depth analysis and visualization. The objective is to gain comprehensive insights into the progress, geographical distribution, and distinctive features of registered MSMEs. This monitoring system is designed to empower stakeholders to make informed decisions related to the development and support of MSMEs. By showcasing the application of data visualization technology in the context of local micro-business certification, this research contributes not only to the efficiency of MSME monitoring but also serves as a model for using such technology in similar scenarios

Abstract

The phenomenon of mechanical waves propagation in rock media is difficult to detect without the use of tools. To "see" the propagation of seismic waves, tools can be used in the form of a main unit monitor on a set of digital Seismograph-16S24-P 24 geophone channel tools. The community service activity aims to provide an understanding of the basic concepts of mechanical wave propagation in rocks to senior high school students throughout Bengkulu City as an enrichment for Physics Practicum. The method used to achieve the objectives of this community service activity is carried out through the stages of Focus Group Discussion (FGD), field data acquisition, data processing, data analysis and interpretation. Activity evaluation is carried out by observing activity participants in data acquisition, data processing, data analysis and interpretation. The results of the activity show that the activity participants have a good understanding of the basic concept of mechanical wave propagation in rocks. Furthermore, Bengkulu City Physics Teachers can transmit this knowledge to senior high school students as an enrichment for Physics Practicum. The material on the application of mechanical waves to rock media can also be used as a learning tool based on disaster risk reduction in the main physics subject, according to the characteristics of the study area.

Abstract

Learning public speaking is an important aspect of developing public speaking skills for students in Islamic boarding schools. In this context, the brainstorming discussion method emerged as an innovative approach to improve speaking ability and creativity. This research aims to explore the effectiveness of applying the brainstorming discussion method in teaching public speaking at the API ASRI Islamic Boarding School Tegalrejo Magelang. The research method used is qualitative analysis based on observation and interviews. The research results show that the brainstorming discussion method is effective in stimulating the active participation of students, broadening their horizons, and increasing their confidence in public speaking. Students show better abilities in generating creative ideas and conveying messages clearly after participating in this program. However, the challenges of program implementation and sustainability need further attention. The implications of this research provide a basis for further development in the context of Islamic boarding school education and emphasize the importance of using the brainstorming discussion method in learning public speaking for Islamic boarding school students.
