Abstract

Currently, the preservation of traditional Javanese clothing faces significant challenges, particularly as children and adolescents are influenced by globalization and modern fashion trends. This influence has also affected traditional attire, which many children wear on formal occasions, shaping their future social status. Through this activity, an effort is made to expose, experiment with, and reflect on one of the most cosmopolitan aspects of cultural heritage—how people dress. This activity is part of a community service program titled Training on the Use of Traditional Javanese Attire for Children, held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Sanggar Permadani, Sukoharjo, with 40 participants in attendance. The training was organized by the FISIP UNS Research Group, in collaboration with Sanggar Permadani. The method used was participatory and educational, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice with the physical items integrated into the fashion training. The training revealed an increase in participants' understanding, interest, and motivation toward preserving traditional Javanese clothing. On a more abstract level, it is recognized that collective awareness of clothing as a form of identity is continuously being built, although without proper motivation, this effort may face greater challenges.

Abstract

Occupational health and safety (K3) is the main means of preventing work accidents. Apart from preventing accidents, K3 is also very important to ensure worker welfare, protect assets, and increase productivity. The implementation and application of occupational health are currently still not optimal as can be seen from the high number of work accidents. Based on the results of a survey by PPN 46 students in one of the garment home industries located in RW 021, Kota Wetan Subdistrict, data was found that the implementation of occupational health programs is currently still very lacking, marked by a lack of knowledge among home industry owners or workers regarding occupational health. Other data obtained showed that workers said they were used to lifting heavy loads on their shoulders compared to using tools, and all workers complained of musculoskeletal problems. The activity aims is to increase workers' knowledge in implementing ergonomic positions as an effort to prevent injuries at work. The activity stages start from problem identification, social preparation, and administrative preparation. Then it continues with the implementation and evaluation stages of activities. The results of the activity showed an increase in worker knowledge of 11.2 points. The average pretest score was 66.4 points and the average posttest score was 77.6 points. Activities ran smoothly according to the planned time. It is hoped that the health education activities that have been carried out can be continued periodically by the home industry owner and the Guntur Community Health Center.

Abstract

In Indonesia, apples are one of the types of fruit that are widely cultivated and widely consumed as processed foods, such as apple cider vinegar CV Sinar Tirta Indonesia, a producer of apple cider vinegar, consistently yields apple pulp as a by-product. In addition to apple cider vinegar, the processing process produces apple pulp by-products. Apple pulp by-products, which consist of pulp and skin that has extraordinary nutrition, make it very suitable to be processed into useful food. Innovation is needed so that apple pulp by-products are not only used for animal feed mixtures that have low selling value. To realize the processing of waste-based products, it must be able to change the by-product into a product that has the maximum possible economic value, as shown in this community service activity, namely changing the by-product of apple vinegar into flour and ingredients for making cookies that were attended by the surrounding community, students, employees, and business actors. This training provides direct benefits to participants, namely gaining new knowledge about how to process apple pulp into functional food ingredients. Abstract

Success in livestock farming is highly dependent on 3 factors, namely seeds, feed and health. Feed factor is the factor that has the highest percentage reaching 60-70% in determining the success of livestock farming. Along with the high price of pig feed ingredients, the use of local feed ingredients is the right solution to meet the needs of pigs, but the obstacle faced is that the nutritional content of local feed ingredients is very low so that an appropriate innovation is needed to process local feed ingredients. The innovation that was built was fermentation technology. The purpose of this community service activity is to find out the technology of local feed ingredient fermentation using microbes found in livestock EM4. The method used is the training method and mentoring for processing pig feed based on local feed ingredients for the Nusa Aur group, Nggurununca Hamlet, Turaloa Village, Wolomeze District, Ngada Regency. The result of this community service activity is that the community included in the Nusa Aur group gains knowledge and skills to process pig feed based on local feed ingredients so that it can increase the productivity of the pigs being raised.
