Abstract

Based on the results of the initial test of students' mathematical communication skills, it is known that 3 indicators of mathematical communication skills have not been able to be achieved by students. This study aims to determine and describe mathematical communication skills using the Teams Games Tournament cooperative learning model in terms of the initial ability is better than conventional learning of class IX students of SMP N 28 Sarolangun. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method with a 2 x 3 factorial design. Based on the results of the data analysis for the experimental class and the control class it can be concluded that: Hypothesis (1) Mathematical Communication Ability Using Cooperative Learning Model Teams Game Tournanent in terms of Initial Capability is better than Learning Conventional. Hypothesis (2) Mathematical Communication Ability Using Cooperative Learning Model Teans Gams Tournament in terms of High Initial Ability is no better than conventional learning. Hypothesis (3) Mathematical Communication Ability Using Teams Games Tournament Cooperative Learning Model in terms of Initial Medium Ability is better than conventional learning. Hypothesis (4) Mathematical Communication Ability Using Teams Games Tournament Cooperative Learning Model in terms of Low Initial Ability is no better than conventional learning. Hypothesis (5) There is an interaction between the Teams Game Tournament learning model and conventional learning in terms of initial ability to influence mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe mathematical reasoning abilities using the problem based instruction (PBI) model which is better than conventional learning for grade VI students of SD Negeri 115 / VI Bangko VIII. The method used is an experimental method. Sampling using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used in this research is a mathematical reasoning ability test in the form of a description. From the data analysis, it was concluded that the mathematical reasoning ability of students using the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model was higher than the mathematical reasoning abilities of students who used conventional learning, the mathematical reasoning abilities of students with high initial abilities who took the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model were not higher than students' mathematical reasoning using conventional learning, the mathematical reasoning abilities of students with low initial abilities who took part in learning with the PBI model were not higher than students' mathematical reasoning abilities using conventional learning, there was no interaction between learning models and students' initial abilities to influence students' mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to develop multimedia learning interactive used Adobe Flash CS3 Professional of learning math class VII SMP/MTs valid, practical, and effective. This research was used research and development method by APPED model. Multimedia learning interactive that validity by five people experts. The validity was seen from the sheets validation, practility from the sheets inquiries response students and interviews students, while effectiveness from the result of lear and activities learn students. The results of this research showing the scores an average of the validation by experts math 4,22 with the category very valid, the indonesian 3,88 with the category very valid, the media 4,78 with the category very valid, and validation teacher math 4,80 with the category very valid. The validation overall 4,58 with the category very valid. Acquisition presentase response students of 82,27% with the category of practical. Presentase the results of learning classical of 77,3% with the category of effective and average presentase students activities of 68,64% with the category of active. Based on the results of research and development, multimedia learning interactive has valid, practical, and effective

Abstract

The choice of department is very influencing, especially in Chemistry, which requires a high understanding of the basic concepts of learning chemistry and high creativity, so that motivation from students is needed to obtain satisfactory grades. This study aims to determine the effect of the choice of department in SMA / MA on student motivation and learning outcomes in learning Chemistry. This research is an experimental research. The study was conducted in 4 study programs, namely: mining, civil, agro-technology and animal husbandry, with a population of 38 students and a sample of 22 students. The research data were obtained from the final questionnaire of motivation and learning outcomes. The final questionnaire results and learning outcomes were analyzed using the normalitas test, homogeneity test and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed the value of F = 85.78 and Sig 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is an effect of choosing a major on student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in mathematics learning outcomes using the jigsaw learning model. The type of research used is classroom action research using the Jigsaw Learning model. The subjects of this study were 32 students of class XI MIPA I SMA Negeri 6 Merangin in the academic year. The data collection technique is to do a final test in each cycle and observations are made during the learning process. Based on the learning outcomes test that has been carried out, the information on the average value of 64.5 in the first cycle became 83.43 in the second cycle, an increase of 18.93. For the percentage of students who complete the KKM 9 people (28.125%) in the first cycle to 29 people (90.625%) in the second cycle or an increase of 62.5%. Student activity has increased, in cycle I the average student activity 45.51% increased in cycle II to 85.31% or an increase of 39.8%. Based on this, it can be concluded that the use of the jigsaw learning model can improve student learning outcomes and activities.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of students. The purpose of this study was to describe the significant relationship between independent learning and mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP N 43 Merangin in the 2019/2020 academic year. This type of research is a research with a quantitative approach while the method used is correlation. The population and research sample were students of Class VIII SMP N 43 Merangin in the 2019/2020 school year which consisted of 4 classes with 117 students. Sampling using the Taro Yamane formula obtained a sample of 54 people. The data analysis technique used by researchers to test the hypothesis using the Product Moment correlation formula because the data is normally distributed, has a linear pattern, so to test the significance using the z test formula. Based on the results of the study showed that the relationship between independent learning and mathematics learning outcomes of students of Class VIII SMP N 43 Merangin with the correlation coefficient r count 0.369 and r table 0.263 or 0.369 > 0.263 while the contribution between variables X and Y was 13.624% and the z test was obtained z hitung 2.687 and it turns out that z count ≥ z table or 2.687 ≥ 2.580, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a significant relationship between independent learning and mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP N 43 Merangin in the 2019/2020 academic year

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the significant relationship between motivation and study habits on understanding the mathematical concepts STKIP YPM Bangko mathematics education college students. This type of research is a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The study population was all students in the fifth semester of mathematics education college students STKIP YPM Bangko in the academic year 2020/2021, totaling 16 people. Sampling using saturated sampling technique. The instrument used was a test of understanding mathematical concepts in the algebraic structure course in the form of essays and questionnaires using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique uses the normality test and linearity test, while for the hypothesis test using the Pearson product moment correlation formula, and the multiple correlation formula using the SPSS 20 program. The results of data analysis in the sample class obtained a correlation coefficient of motivation and learning habits variables on understanding mathematical concepts with value sig.F change = 0.122 because the sig.F change value> 0.05 or 0.122> 0.05 means that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. This means that there is no significant relationship between motivation and study habits on understanding the mathematical concepts STKIP YPM Bangko mathematics education college students.

Abstract

This research is a correlation study with a quantitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaire techniques and documentation methods. The population and sample in this study were students of Class VIII SMP Negeri 43 Merangin. The data analysis technique used is the Normality Test, Linearity, and Hypothesis Test. Based on the results of the analysis with the product moment correlation, it shows that there is a relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes in Mathematics for class VIII grade SMP Negeri 43 Merangin. This is indicated by the magnitude of the r count value is greater than the r table (0.6430> 0.413) and a significance value of 0.000 which means less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05), so this study succeeded in proving the hypothesis which states that "There is a positive relationship. and significant learning motivation with the learning outcomes of class VIII class of SMP Negeri 43 Merangin Mathematics, and the value of the coefficient of determination is calculated by the formula kd r2 x 100% so that learning motivation affects the learning outcomes of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 43 Merangin by about 41.35%. And the rest is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This research study aims to describe and determine the relationship between student learning styles and mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 43 Merangin in the academic year 2020/2021. This study used a descriptive-correlational design. The population and research sample were students of class VIII SMP N 43 Merangin in the academic year 2020/2021 which consisted of 4 classes with a total of 116 students. Sampling using the Taro Yamane formula obtained a sample of 53 students with a simple random sampling technique (random) with a lottery model to determine the sample for each class. The data analysis technique was calculated using Person Product Moment correlation, normality test and linearity test, while hypothesis testing used the correlation formula and the Z test. 2020/2021 lesson.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a bilingual illustrated module product based on predict, observe, explain (POE) on the probability material for class VIII Junior High School/MTs which is valid and practical. The type of research developed is research and development (Research and Development) which refers to the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instrument used was the expert expert validation sheet to measure the validity of the module and the questionnaire sheet and student interview guidelines to measure the practicality and ease of use of the module. The results showed that the assessment of the experts was very valid with the average percentage of material experts was 4.47%, the average percentage of language experts was 4.5%, and the average percentage of media experts was 4.89%. The POE-based illustrated bilingual module on the probability material also obtained a percentage value of 83.85% of the student responses in the practical category.
