Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah bagian dari penelitian sejarah yang bertujuan untuk melihat secara berkesinambungan bagaimana narasi sejarah Islam di Dompu Nusa Tenggara Barat. Tulisan ini diarahkan sebagai inventarisasi narasi sejarah Dompu menggunakan metode sejarah meliputi empat tahapan, yaitu: tahapan heuristik, kritik, interpretasi dan historiografi. Selanjutnya melihat benang merah Narasi sejarah Islam Dompu, yang belakangan menjadi perbincangan eksistensialis kerajaan yang sering dikaitkan dengan kerajaan tetangganya Bima, dimana pemosisian Dana Mbojo juga turut serta dalam perdebatan itu. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam aspek sejarah lokal Dompu, narasi itu dapat ditemukan dalam tinggalan arkeologi sebagai bukti adanya kepercayaan masyarakat pra Islam, tradisi lisan yang berkembang, dokumen Majapahit, Pengaruh Ternate-Tidore, Arsip Makassar berbasis Lontara bilang, serta persinggungan dengan orang melayu. Ke semua itu menunjukkan bahwa dalam narasi sejarah Islam Dompu dapat dilihat dari berbagai aspek yang dapat ditelusuri melalui eksplorasi terhadap tinggalan artefak, kontak dengan kerajaan sekitar, serta penyambungan informasi lokal berbasis lisan yang disampaikan turun temurun. Tulisan ini menyajikan potensi perbincangan itu sebagai hal yang tidak bisa diabaikan dalam usaha memahami lebih dalam apa sesungguhnya yang terjadi di Dompu masa lalu.

Abstract

Universitas Muhammadiyah Palopo memiliki kebijakan Catur Darma Perguruan Tinggi dengan menambahkan Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan sebagai darma keempat. Kebijakan ini kemudian dijabarkan dalam mata kuliah wajib universitas, yakni Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) yang wajib diikuti baik oleh mahasiswa muslim dan non-muslim. Kajian ini mengungkap dua hal; (1) kebijakan Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan bagi mahasiswa non-muslim; dan (2) model pembelajaran AIK bagi mahasiswa non-muslim; Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif, dengan observasi dan wawancara mendalam (in-depth interview), dan dokumentasi. Temuan penting penelitian adalah (1) mahasiswa non-muslim diwajibkan mengikuti mata kuliah AIK, dosen tetap memperhatikan proporsi dan materi yang disajikan dan lokalitasnya; dan (2) Model pembelajaran AIK melalui; pertama, rules of study, mengubah pendekatan doktrin menjadi dialogis. Kedua, pola Comparative Holly-Text dengan memberikan ruang kepada mahasiswa non-muslim untuk mengelaborasi suatu tema dengan pemahaman kitab sucinya. Ketiga, melalui tutor sebaya yang memberikan iklim positif bagi interaksi senior dan yunior. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah adanya ruang perjumpaan (melting plot) bagi mahasiswa yang berbeda agama untuk saling berinteraksi dan memahami satu sama lain.

Abstract

Many stereotypes related to Tionghoa people have been around for a long time, such as their being exclusive and unsociable. Worsened off by the native and non-native issues, at the same time create a fission between the Tionghoa and the locals. Nevertheless, the Tionghoa in Palopo managed to blend in with the local community. This paper departs from the considerable concern to write about ethnic assimilation in Palopo City. The assimilation between Tionghoa and the locals in Palopo can hopefully serve a meaningful lesson for the religious moderation. Taking all those into account, this paper aims to find out the assimilation process of Tionghoa in Palopo, South Sulawesi Province. The Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is nothing to bargain. However, it would all mean nothing as the minority and majority groups of ethnics prevail in which migrants and native do not integrate. The data of this paper were collected through literature and field methods. The results showed that the myth of I La Galigo served as much of the base of Tionghoa’s interaction with the locals. There emerged a new frame of thinking on the part of the Tionghoa migrants that their identities basically had the same cultural and historical roots as those of the locals’. The Luwu Embassy welcomed the arrival of Tionghoa migrants by preparing a shelter house, a Tionghoa school and other facilities. These migrants chose to make a living in Palopo City and had marriages with locals. They adapted local languages and customs. In the end, they had descendants whose parts of their Tionghoa identities left were their physical features and faith. Their language and culture have become both integrated with those of the local community.

Abstract

Schools are one of the right places to spread the sensitivity of students on a different variety. SMA Ma'arif NU 1 Banyuma, as an educational institution, is able to internalize the Islamic moderation values of students through various activities in the school. This research aims to uncover and analyze the internalization of Islamic moderation values in the study of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA Ma'arif NU 1 Banyumas. The type of research is field research. Data mining was obtained through interviews with informants. The observation was conducted to see PAI learning activities and education in and out of the classroom, as well as PAI learning documentation. Data triangulation was used for the validation of the obtained data. Data analysis techniques were through three steps; data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are the values of Islamic moderation internalized in PAI learning are the values of al-'adālah, tawāzun, tasāmuḥ. The internalization process is carried out through transformational value, transactional value, and trans- internalization value. The strategies used are introduction, habituation, civility, and practice. The implications show that students are used to performing worship, respecting teachers and friends, social caring, being tolerant, being discipline, being environmentally responsible, and obeying the rules.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kondisi sosial masyarakat perbatasan Indonesia-Papua Nugini di Muara Tami dan mendeskripsikan dinamika paham kebangsaan mereka. Metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi literatur. Temuan penelitian ini adalah, sebagai berikut: Pertama, infrastruktur di Muara Tami mengalami kemajuan dibanding lima tahun lalu. Akses pelayanan publik telah tersedia, meski masih dalam keterbatasan. Kondisi perekonomian masyarakat perbatasan sejak program transmigrasi dibuka pada 1984, umumnya sejahtera. Infrastruktur juga cukup bagus dibanding lima tahun lalu. Secara ekonomi, masyarakat Indonesia di perbatasan lebih sejahtera dibanding orang Papua Nugini (PNG). Ini pula yang menyebabkan perasaan bangga menjadi bagian dari Negara Indonesia. Kedua, paham kebangsaan masyarakat perbatasan secara umum terlihat cukup bagus, apabila mengacu kepada pengetahuan terhadap Pancasila, UUD 1945, NKRI, dan kebinekaan. Meski begitu, ingatan sosial sebagian Orang Asli Papua (OAP) terhadap Organisasi Papua Merdeka (OPM), masih bertumbuh di kalangan aktivis mahasiswa dan dosen OAP. Adanya kesenjangan ekonomi antara migran pendatang non Papua dengan OAP, sering memicu kecemburuan OAP, yang sewaktu-waktu dapat berdampak kepada ketegangan sosial. Karena itu, nasionalisme bagi OAP, juga adalah menyangkut peningkatan kesejahteraan ekonomi.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang potret organisasi tarekat dan dinamikanya di Sulawesi Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan sejarah muncul dan perkembangan tarekat di Sulawesi Barat, dengan melacak perkembangan tarekat Qadiriyah dan Naqsyabandiyah sebagai lokus pengamatan. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode wawancara, dan observasi, serta melaksanakan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) di Majene. Teori tarekat dipilih sebagai pisau analisis untuk mengungkap makna sejarah dan asal mula tarekat berada di wilayah Sulawesi Barat. Penelitian dilakukan mulai dari Maret s/d Oktober 2019. Hasil kajian menemukan bahwa genealogi tarekat Qadiriyah di Sulawesi Barat diperkenalkan oleh Annangguru (Kyai) Haji Muhammad Saleh dari jalur Syekh Alwi bin al-Makky di Makkah al-Mukarramah, bukan berasal dari jalur Syekh Yusuf al-Makassary. Sedangkan tarekat Naqsyabandiyah Khalidiyah diperkenalkan oleh Syekh Abdurahman Qadir dari jalur Syekh Jalaluddin, Syekh Jalaluddin berbaiat ke Syekh Ali Ridha di Jabal Abu Qubaish. Penelitian ini juga melihat bahwa silsilah atau jalur tarekat menjadi hal yang urgen dalam mengukur tarekat yang berada di Sulawesi Barat adalah mu’tabarah dan ghairu mu’tabarah dalam dunia Islam.

Abstract

The enactment of Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection is intended to protect children and guarantee their rights to live, grow, develop, and participate optimally following human dignity and get protection from violence and discrimination. It could be achieved through increasing awareness of the rights and obligations and the responsibility of the involved parties, especially parents because they are the first and foremost in contact with children. In the context of the Law socialization, research is needed to find an appropriate and effective socialization model especially for women (mothers) through religious-social activities. One of them is majelis ta'lim program. This research used a normative-empirical research type. Normative research was used through the interpretation of grammatical and authentic legal methods. Empirical research was conducted by a teleological interpretation method to know the extent of the legal norm according to the community’s attitudes, behaviors, and compliance. Data were collected through the study of literature and empirical studies using interview guidelines and questionnaires. The research results showed that the developed socialization model could solve the most fundamental and urgent literature and the wider community’s interests. In protecting the community-based program, the issue is not merely children in conflict with the law. It includes a larger unit of interaction, such as parents, family, peers, environment, and wider social institutions

Abstract

Since long time ago, Indonesia contributes to one of the largest Muslim scholar graduates in the world, these scholars are not only recognized in their countries, but are recognized throughout the world. They are Nuruddin Ar Raniri (Aceh), Sheikh Nawawi al Bantani (Banten), Khalil Bangkalan (Madura), Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad al Banjari (South Kalimantan), Sheikh Yusuf al Makassari (South Sulawesi), Sheikh Ahmad Khatib al Minangkabawi and Muhammad Jamil Jambek (West Sumatra), Sheikh Mahfudz Tremas (Java), following Hadhratus Sheikh KH. Hasyim Asy'ari (founder of  Nahdatul  Ulama),  KH. Ahmad  Dahlan (founder of  Muhammadiyah),  Prof.  Dr.  Hasbi  ash- Shidiqqey (initiator of Indonesian jurisprudence), Prof. Buya Hamka, and so on. The number of scholars in Indonesia will never be exhausted to be studied, because scholars always grow and develop in the community. Some of the scholars have written their biographies, but many of them have not yet been written. The absence of written sources (reading) about the scholar makes the public not familiar with it. So the purpose of writing this short biography is to find out a short biography of one of the scholars, namely Dr. Muhammad Nawawi Yahya Abudrrazak Al Majene, from Mandar, West Sulawesi. Nawawi Yahya is known by the local people by the name of Puang Masser, because most of his life was spent in Egypt in the context of studying. From the undergraduate program until the doctoral program was completed in Egypt. Nawawi Yahya or Puang Masser managed to write a dissertation entitled "Az Zakah wa an Nadzum al Ijtima'iyah al Mu'ashirah", Zakat  and  the  Order of the  Contemporary Society. What's interesting  about the dissertation is its thickness reaches 3,593 pages, which is divided into six chapters. The work has now been published by the Research Center for Literature and the Religious Khazanah of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion's Research and Development Agency. This study used interviews, observations, and documentation in collecting data as well as qualitative research in general.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peran sumber daya keagamaan dalam membangun semangat kebangsaan pada warga negara Indonesia yang bermukim pada wilayah perbatasan negara. Tujuan tersebut dijabarkan dalam dua poin permasalahan; bagaimana dinamika kebangsaan pada masyarakat perbatasan dan bagaimana peran sumber daya keagamaan di wilayah tersebut dalam menguatkan paham kebangsaan masyarakat. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif melalui pengamatan, wawancara dan studi dokumen, dengan analisis data deskriptif-analitis dan kritis. Penelitian dilakukan pada wilayah perbatasan darat negara Indonesia-Malaysia di Provinsi Kalimantan Utara, tepatnya di Kabupaten Nunukan, Kecamatan Sebatik Tengah. Tapal batas di wilayah tersebut hanya dipisahkan oleh patok-patok perbatasan yang memungkinkan masyarakat kedua negara untuk saling melintasi batas-batas negara. Demografis masyarakat Sebatik Tengah didominasi oleh etnik Bugis yang kebanyakan eks Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI) di Tawau. Nasionalisme masyarakat dalam beberapa tahun terakhir mengalami peningkatan, namun masih menyisakan beberapa problem, yaitu; adanya masyarakat yang memiliki identitas kewarganegaraan ganda, penggunaan mata uang ringgit, ketergantungan pada produk Malaysia serta minimnya perhatian pemerintah. Penguatan semangat kebangsaan melalui sumber daya keagamaan di Sebatik Tengah dilakukan oleh dua lembaga. Yaitu Yayasan Ar-Rasyid yang melakukan penguatan kebangsaan melalui jalur pendidikan dengan mendirikan Sekolah Tapal Batas yang mendidik anak-anak TKI yang berada di perbatasan. Sumber daya keagamaan lainnya adalah organisasi kepemudaan lintas agama, OM JOKO (Orang Muda BerJoko) yaitu gabungan organisasi remaja mesjid dan pemuda gereja. Organisasi ini mendorong semangat kebangsaan melalui gerakan kerja sama pemuda lintas iman di salah satu dusun di Sebatik Tengah. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini, pemerintah pusat perlu memberdayakan sumber daya keagamaan guna membangun semangat kebangsaan masyarakat di perbatasan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the access and needs of poor women in the Tallo district in relation to preaching activities. This study used a preaching communication perspective to identify the challenges of preaching strategies and empowering poor women in urban areas. This study used a mixed method between quantitative and qualitative research. The data was collected through literature study, observation, questionnaires, and in-depth interviews. Data analysis used in this study was the interactive model of Miles & Huberman. The results showed that most of the poor women in the Tallo district defined preaching as a lecture and face-to-face activity. They consider that the government should be more responsible for its implementation rather than other organizations or communities. Most of them prefer the theme of worship, family, and morals when dealing with preaching messages. The preferred media for delivering preaching is through lectures and face-to- face compared with electronic and social media.
