Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan suatu produk pengembangan soal model PISA pada materi pemanasan global yang dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian pengembangan (Development Research). Penelitian terdiri atas dua tahap  yaitu tahap awal (preliminary) dan tahap evaluasi formative (formative evaluation). Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah dua kelas dari kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Jepara. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa dokumentasi, tes tertulis, serta angket. Produk pengembangan soal model PISA digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa SMP pada materi pemanasan global. Telaah oleh ahli dilakukan untuk menilai kelayakan produk pengembangan soal menggunakan penilaian validitas. Validitas terdiri atas 3 aspek yaitu aspek konten, konstruk, dan bahasa. Persentase rata-rata pada masing-masing aspek sebesar 98,1%, 98,8%, dan 98,1%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis telaah ahli, produk pengembangan soal model PISA dinyatakan layak digunakan. Dan berdasarkan analisis validitas butir, daya pembeda, tingkat kesukaran, reliabilitas, dan uji beda, diperoleh hasil produk pengembangan soal yang terdiri atas 18 butir soal.   The goal of this research is to produce a development product of PISA model test on global warming material. That product can be used to measure high order thinking skills of the student. The method in this research was development research. The stage of this research divided in two stages: the preliminary stage and the formative evaluation stage. The respondens in this research were two class of 7th grade student of SMP Negeri 2 Jepara. The data collection methods were documentation, tests, and questionnaires. The development of PISA model test used to measure the high order thinking skills of junior high school students on global warming material. The expert review was conducted to asses the validity of PISA development test by using validity. The validity consist of three aspect, they were content aspect, construct aspect, and aspects of language. The average percentage of each aspect were 98,1%, 98,8%, and 98,1%. Based on the analysis result of expert review, the development of PISA model test was valid to use. In addition, based on the analysis of item validity, discrimination power, level of difficulty, reliability, and comparison tests, produced the development product instrument consist of 18 questions.

Abstract

Proses pembuktian dan pemahaman suatu teori membutuhkan suatu gambaran yang jelas mengenai kasus yang dikaji. Untuk membantu proses tersebut, diperlukan penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk animasi ataupun alat peraga seperti komputer, proyektor, smartphone, ataupun web dalam pembelajaran sesuai dengan materi dan perkembangan teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran BARy (Board’s Augmented Reality) pada pokok bahasan elektrostatika sebagai tambahan atau pelengkap pembelajaran materi elektrostatika, menguji validitas dan keefektifannya. Penelitian ini mengikuti model 4D ( Four-D Models ) yaitu define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develope (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebaran). Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan media meliputi aspek desain pembelajaran, aspek pengembangan perangkat lunak, dan aspek komunikasi visual. Nilai pengujian akan ditentukan oleh para pengguna aplikasi ini yaitu mahasiswa jurusan fisika angkatan 2014. Media pembelajaran BARy (Board’s Augmented Reality) pada pokok bahasan elektrostatika memiliki filtur seperti tampilan augmented reality, terdapat buku panduan, video penggunaan serta dapat menampilkan pemodelan, simulai dan interaksi pada muatan listik. Hasil validasi yang mencangkup aspek rekayasa perangkat lunak, aspek substansi materi, dan aspek desain komunikasi menghasilkan nilai 4,60 (92%), 4,57 (91%), dan 4.17 (83%). Secara keseluruhan menghasilkan nilai rata – rata 4,45 atau 89% yang menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi BARy ini layak digunakan. Sedangkan hasil dari pengujian aplikasi dengan mahasiswa menghasilkan nilai 3,92 atau 78% yang menunjukkan aplikasi BARy ini termasuk baik atau layak untuk digunakan.   The process of proof and understanding of a theory requires a clear picture of the case of study. To help the process, it is necessary to use learning media in the form of animation or teaching aids such as computers, projectors, smartphones, or the web in learning in accordance with the material and technological developments. The purpose of this study is to develop BARY (Board's Augmented Reality) learning media on the subject of electrostatics in addition to or complementary electrostatic material learning, testing its validity and effectiveness. This study follows the 4D (Four-D Models) model, which is define (define), design (design), develope (development), and disseminate (spread). Validation is carried out by material experts and media including aspects of learning design, aspects of software development, and aspects of visual communication. The value of the test will be determined by the users of this application, namely students of the 2014 physics department. BARy's learning media (Board's Augmented Reality) on the subject of electrostatics has a filtur such as augmented reality display, a guidebook, video usage and can display modeling, simulations and interactions on electric charge. Validation results that included aspects of software engineering, material substance aspects, and communication design aspects resulted in values ​​of 4.60 (92%), 4.57 (91%), and 4.17 (83%). Overall it produces an average value of 4.45 or 89% which indicates that the BARy application is worthy of use. While the results of testing applications with students produce a value of 3.92 or 78% which indicates that the BARy application is good or feasible to use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi alat praktikum pembiasan cahaya untuk meningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 di MAN 2 Rembang. Sampel yang digunakan adalah dua kelas, yaitu XI MIA 2 (kelas eksperimen) dan XI MIA 3 (kelas kontrol). Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental design. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibanding kelas kontrol. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada aktivitas siswa saat praktikum, yaitu untuk kelas ekperimen mendapat nilai sebesar 94,5%, sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol sebesar 86,5%. Selain dari aktivitas siswa saat praktikum, implementasi alat praktikum pembiasan cahaya juga berpengaruh terhadap hasil kognitif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji N-gain, untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas eksperimen didapatkan nilai 0,60, sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol didapatkan nilai 0,53. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah  implementasi alat praktikum pembiasan cahaya dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa.   The aim of this research is to know the effect of the implementation practicum tools of light refraction to improve problem solving ability of the students. The study was conducted in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018 at MAN 2 Rembang. The samples used are two classes, namely XI MIA 2 (experimental class) and XI MIA 3 (control class). Sampling in this research using purposive sampling technique. The result of this research show that the experimental class is better than in control class. It can be seen in the activities of students during practicum, namely for the experimental class to get a score of 94,5% while for the control class 86,5%. In ddition from activities of students, implementation of refraction of light practical tools also influences student’s cognitive outcomes. Based on the results of the N-gain test, for the student’s experimental class problem solving abilities obtained a value of 0,60, while the control class obtained a value of 0,53. The conclusions from this research is the implemementation  of refraction of light practical tools can increase the problem solving ability of the students.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi sangat ditekankan dalam pembelajaran kurikulum 2013.  Saat ini instrumen penilaian harus bisa mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Salah satu instrumen yang dapat mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi adalah two tier multiple choice test. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis instrumen two tier multiple choice yang dikembangkan dan profil kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi materi konsep dan fenomena kuantum siswa SMA di Kabupaten Cilacap. Penelitian ini dilakukan di tiga sekolah yaitu SMA Negeri 1 Cilacap sebagai sampel grade tinggi, SMA Negeri 1 Kroya sebagai sampel grade sedang dan SMA Negeri 1 Binangun sebagai sampel grade rendah. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes two tier multiple choice dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang dikembangkan sangat layak dan reliabel. Profil kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa SMA di Kabupaten Cilacap materi konsep dan fenomena kuantum termasuk dalam kategori rendah dengan skor 8,45 dari skor maksimal 30.     High order thinking skills is very emphasized in 2013 Curriculum learning. Nowadays, the assesment must measure student’s high order thinking skills. One of the assesment can measure student’s high order thinking skills is two tier multiple choice test. The goal of this research is analyse the two tier multiple choice test that have been developed and the profile of Senior High School Student’s High Order Thinking Skills using Two Tier Multiple Choice Test on Quantum Concept and Phenomenon in Cilacap. This research have been done in three schools. They were SMA Negeri 1 Cilacap as the highest grade sample, SMA Negeri 1 Kroya as middle grade sample and SMA Negeri 1 Binangun as the lowest grade sample. This research used descriptive quantitative and qualitative approach. Collecting data technique used two tier multiple choice test and interview. The research result show that the instrument which have been developed was claimed worth and reliable. The profile of senior high school student’s high order thinking skills quantum concept and phenomenon in Cilacap regency is categoryzed low. The score was 8,45 from the maximum score 30

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan desain pelatihan pembelajaran IPA berbasis DIGICOM serta mengukur tingkat pemahaman guru fisika Kab. Demak setelah mengikuti pelatihan penggunaan. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan subyek penelitian guru fisika Kabupaten Demak sejumlah 16 orang. Instrumen pengambilan data berupa angket dan obervasi pelaksanaan pelatihan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) telah dihasilkan desain materi pelatihan pembelajaran IPA berbasis mikroskop digital, 2) Sebanyak 94 % peserta pelatihan pembelajaran IPA berbasis DIGICOM mampu memahami materi pelatihan dengan baik. Sedangkan sebanyak 6 % belum mampu memahami materi pelatihan sebab media yang digunakan adalah kamera DLSR sehingga membutuhkan pelatihan dan pendampingan lebih lanjut. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pelatihan pembelajaran IPA berbasis DIGICOM mampu dipahami dengan baik oleh guru fisika Kabupaten Demak.   The research aimed to design a workshop for science learning process using DIGICOM as well as to determine participant’s understanding about DIGICOM after following the workshop.  Participants were teachers of physics subject in Demak, Central Java.  The research method is qualitative method by using questionnaire and observation during the workshop.  The results of the research are 1) design of material for workshop on learning process using digital microscope, 2) 94% of the workshop participant comprehend the material well.  Meanwhile, 6% of the participants could not understand the material clearly so that more intensive workshop is required.  As conclusion, the workshop for  science learning process using DIGICOM could be followed and understood well by Physic teachers in Demak.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the creativity and students' scientific thinking skills in guided inquiry learning. This research is a pre-experimental research design type One-Shot Case Study. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. Data collection methods used are observation and questionnaire methods. The instruments used in this study were creative attitude questionnaires, project product creativity assessment sheets, and scientific thinking skills assessment sheets. Data analysis was performed using a percentage formula. The results show that students 'creativity included in the high category and students' scientific thinking skills included in good category

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop an IPA (Physics) learning module in form of pop-up and smash book on Nature of Light that tested it is feasibility, effectiveness, and practicality. This research uses Research and Development methode (R & D). Test design using pre-eksperimental design with one group pretest-posttest. Initial test was conducted at SLB Wantu Wirawan and final test was conducted at SLB Negeri Salatiga. The result show that the module in form of pop-up and smash book on Nature of Light was classified feasible by media validator and material validator with media feasibility percentage 90,50% and material feasibility 85,50%. The effectiveness percentage of module 92,00% with N-Gain 0,64 and practicality percentage 92,50%. Based on the result of this research concluded that module in form of pop-up and smash book was proven feasible, effective, and practical to use by deaf students in IPA (Physics) learning, particularly on Nature of Light

Abstract

Textbook is one of the teaching materials which have influence in the learning activities. The research aimed to know whether textbook of Physics of SMA class X that was used in Pati Regency that has used learning analogy, how the structure of presentation of the concept, has loaded NoS content, how presented the exercise questions. Content in A and B books based on the content of NoS was still dominated by one aspect of the theory and law aspects of 56.68% in books A and 71.87 in book B. The question problems in book A and B were dominated by the applied category of 51,19% and 41,94%. Content in books A and B based on analogy loads was still poorly presented. The concepts that were presented in the two books are different.

Abstract

Mastery of physics concepts student in Indonesia is still relatively low which can lead to misconceptions. Diagnostic tests using the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) is one of the most effective and feasible methods to identify misconceptions. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the diagnostic test that is produced and describe the misconceptions on matter pressure subject. The type of research is a development research (Research and Development). The product of this research is a diagnostic test for second grade junior high school which the subject is matter pressure. Research respondents were students of SMP N 2 Kaliwungu class VIII B, VIII D and VIII E. The results showed that diagnostic test products were 15 questions consisting of 1 easy question, 7 moderate questions and 7 difficult questions and had a reliability coefficient of 0.629. The resulting diagnostic tests can be used to reveal student misconceptions. The highest misconception occurs in the application of Archimedes law which is 69%. Students assume that the volume of melting ice cubes will increase the volume of water in the glass.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes by utilizing WhatsApp. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) with teachers as researchers and educators in the class. The study was implemented in class X TBSM 4 Tasikmalaya Vocational High School in the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic year which is a non-main place where researchers teach with subjects 30 students. This research lasts for three cycles with one cycle studying different one basic competency. Each cycle consists of the following steps: (1) Planning, (2) acting, (3) observing, (4) reflecting. The learning process uses a variety of learning models including discovery learning, problem based learning, and project based learning. Each learning model uses various methods including demonstrations, talking, discussions, and question and answer. Data obtained from the results of documentation, observation, questionnaires, and written tests. Assessment is done in two ways, directly in class and outside the classroom through the WhatsApp application. The results of research indicate that there is an increase in learning outcomes in each cycle. Learning outcomes of students in the third cycle reached above the minimum completeness criteria so it can be concluded that the WhatsApp application can be used to improve student learning outcomes in class X TBSM 4 of Tasikmalaya in the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic year.
