Abstract

Muhammadiyyah and MUI (Indonesian Ulama Council) – with a slight intention – have finally revealed their advice about smoking. These two advices were deserved to be called into questions in: what the (Islamic) legal proposition (dalil/hujjah) and the istinbath method (istinbath al-hukm). They both, easily change the advice about smoking from neutral deeds (mubah) into avoidance (makruh), and then into forbidden (haram). These evolutional alterations drew my attention to examine their way of taking istinbat, that conclude smoking as avoidance or forbidden. In the way of research, I was using qualitative- normative approach for getting answer to the causes of their conclusion. The result showed us, they both using bayani approach and istishlahi one, so the qiyasi methode. The difference of them, was situated at how many syari’ah maxims that they cited on their fatwa: MUI cited many more than Muhammadiyah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh kegiatan tarekat yang dilakukan oleh para pengikut Tarekat Qadiriyah Naqsyabandiyah Pekalongan terhadap kecerdasan emosi dan spiritual mereka. Penelitian kualitatif ini mengambil sejumlah pengikut dan pengurus tarekat sebagai responden. Data-data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi terlibat. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin intens pengikut tarekat mengikuti kegiatan Tarekat Qadiriyah Naqsyabandiyah, semakin tinggi pula kecerdasan emosi dan spiritual yang mereka miliki. Dengan demikian sufi yang terlembagakan dalam Tarekat Qadiriyah Naqsyabandiyah Pekalongan memiliki pengaruh dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan emosi dan spiritual.

Abstract

The research to study the application of audio and visual medium in order to learn speaking skill by audiolingual approach is a good contribution to educational world of senior high school and the Islamic one, particularly, in finding a way to improving the learning component relating directly to the medium and method of learning speaking skill. This research is to find out its significance and relevance. The main variable of this research includes the whole activities of the application of audio and visual medium in learning speaking skill by audio-lingual approach. The data were collected through observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation. This research took place in state Islamic senior high school of Batang in Central Java. The result shows that the application helps the students to speak English correctly and accurately and stresses the message of the speaking skill learning.

Abstract

Even though character building as an autonomous subject among student does not exist in secondary school, Islamic Education (PAI), as one of the subjects in school related to character building, has to play its role in building students’ character. This study aims to reveal the problems related to PAI learning process in SMP 3 and its role in building students’ noble character. This study was qualitative using observational case studies. The data were obtained through interviews, questionnaires, and documents and were analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques with the inductive approach. The documents were such legal decisions of officials in Educational Ministry, the syllabi, curriculums, and teaching planning (RPP). The result shows that PAI learning has an important role in building students’ noble character if it is supported by competent lecturers, good inputs, adequate materials, and good processes. Character building learning was taught integrated and aimed to shape noble character among the students of SMP 3 Pekalongan. It was accommodated in PAI learning, citizenship learning and local contain subject, such as Javanese language and Cookery Learning. Unfortunately, the sustainability and comprehensiveness of character building learning in PAI curriculum were not seriously attended. Nevertheless, they were taught integrated in pilot project program and evaluated gradually and comprehensively.

Abstract

Supervision of Islamic micro-finance institutions (LKMS), are necessary as control financing over the financial institution, whether it was healthy or not. Financial assessment was conducted by the agency to audit the financial system with the services of independent auditors, as stipulated in the Minister of Cooperatives and Small-Medium Enterprises, Nomor 14/Per/M.KUKM/XII/2009. The problem, though the provision of health assessment auditions financial institutions have been regulated, but LKMS, such as KJSP allegedly have not standard of operating procedures yet, to achieve the standards set out in the ministerial regulation. Nevertheless of standard, the study was aimed to assess the financial health of KJSP. The approach used in this study was quantitative, relying on the primary data, gathered from KJSP’s Financial Report during 2004 - 2009 and interviews with managers KJSP. The results showed that KJSP’s assets are 66,503 billion in 2009 and categorized as “Health” for all the ratios were calculated and “well enough” to capital ratio. Nevertheless, the study faced organizational constraint of KJSP that limited the assessment of study. The “x” factor of constraint assessment was related to the existence of KJSP was as a small part of —bigger unit— Kospin JASA that still using conventional finance services.

Abstract

قـد تـعـلق تعـلم الـنحوبـتـعـلم اللـغـة الـعـربـية تـعـلقا قـويـا. اذا تـعلم شـخـص اللـغـة الـعـربيـة للـتـحـدث , فلـيـس بـواجـب أن يـهـتم النـحو اهـتـمـا ما كامـلا. الا اذا تـعـلم اللـغة الـعـربـية الـفـصـحـة الـصحـيـحـة فلا بـد أن يـتـعلـمـه تـعـلـما صـحـيـحا. لـذالك يـعـرف أن تـعـلم اللـغة الـعـربـية في المـدرسـة الـعـالـية الـسـلا فـية بسـيـمـبـانـج كـولـون يـهـتم ذلك كـله, حـتي يـرى ان تلامـيـذهـا يـسـتـطيـعـون أن يـقرأوا ويـتـرجـموا ويـسـتـمـعوا الـكلا م الـعـربي جـيـدا. اعـتـمـادا عـلي هـذا الـمـوقـع يـلا خـص أن عـلم الـنـحـومـفـيـد جـدا في اعـانـة تـعـلم اللـغـة الـعـربـية بـسـيـمـبانـج كـولـون. عـلـمـا أن نـتائـج اللـغـة الـعـربـية لأ كـثـر تـلا مـيذهـا أعـلي قـيـمـة (يـعـني بـين 78 – 80 ) عـلي حـسـب تـقـديـر الـقـيـمـة مـن الـمـدرسـة الـعالـية الـسلافـية بـسـبـانـج كـولـون فـكالـونـجـان (يـعـني بـين 70 – 76 ). هذا يدل على أن تقدير القيمة التلاميذ فيها جيدا أو جيدا جدا.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to know the psychological dynamics of child labour in Batik sector in Pekalongan. This case study research applied interview, observation and documentation for collecting data. The findings of this research show that school breakout child labour generally motivated to work only to earn, whereas the school child labour, more motivated by pity feeling of their parents. The children labour affective condition has different ways in order to face the problems of school continuity. Some felt disappointed on failure to continue their school, some felt so-so, and some others felt happy because of school duties-free. Generally, child labour was excited when they help their parents or when they work in the owner of the interprise. They also felt proud because they could help out their parents’ burdens. The school breakout child labour tend to have no any desires for coming back to their school because of feeling happy in working. It differs with the school children, which still have an expectation to continue to the higher education and have aspiration.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) form critical and creative learning models in Sociology of Education learning relevant for students, (2) examine student response to a critical-creative learning in Sociology of Education learning courses, and (3) examine the influence of the creative-critical learning model for improving the quality of learning outcomes in students majoring in Sociology of Education on Tarbiyah Departement at STAIN Purwokerto.This research is a classroom action research. The process of action research carried out using two cycles (cyclic), taking into account the following four main components, namely: planning, implementation, monitoring, and reflection. The first cycle consists of two stages with three acts. The second cycle consists of one stage and one effectiveness measurement to the implementation of creative-critical learning model. The fact analysis was performed along with a qualitative description of the reflection and evaluation of the model. Meanwhile, non-parametric statistical analysis and simple statistics were used to examine the impact of creative-critical learning model for improving the quality of learning.The results provide some conclusions as follows: (1) creative-critical learning model that is suitable for students include procedures and measures as follows, which includes: planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of learning, reflection, and assessing of the successful action. This model uses a minimum of two cycles, where the First Cycle consists of 3 actions, and the Second Cycle consists of one stage and one action that is implementing a critical-creative learning models that are effective, (2) The response of students to learning critical creative tend to be more positive than using conventional learning , and (3) students' learning achievement using a learning model of creative-critical indicate a better condition compared with conventional learning. Based on these results IPS-learning facilities are suggested, especially laboratories need to be developed and equipped to facilitate the learning process of applying the various models and strategies in accordance with the characteristics of certain subject areas including sosial studies courses Sociology of Education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe users’ perception on the competencies of STAIN Pekalongan Tarbiyah Programs’ alumni, namely those who devote themselves into the world of education. Teachers and lecturers should be able to fulfill the four competencies, namely (1) pedagogical competence, (2) competence of personality, (3) social competence, and (4) professional competence. These competencies are comprehensive and constitute an integral and interconnected with each other and support each other. Descriptive statistics was employed to analize the data. Research results indicate that (1) users’ perception on alumni’s pedagogical competence are above average which 77% schools on Kemdiknas’ oversight rate them as good, as well as 73% schools on Depag’s oversight (2) users’ perception on alumni’s personal competency/personality are above average which 81% schools on Kemdiknas’ oversight rate them as good, as well as 78% schools on Depag’s oversight (3) users’ perception on alumni’s social competency are above average which 75% schools on Kemdiknas’ oversight rate them as good, as well as 74% schools on Depag’s oversight; and (4) users’ perception on alumni’s professional competency are above average which 76% schools on Kemdiknas’ oversight rate them as good, as well as 73% schools on Depag’s oversight.
