Chronic kidney disease (CKD) causes metabolic disorders such as hyperphosphatemia. Limiting phosphorus and protein intake is one option, but egg whites and brown rice snack bars are another. This study aimed to compare CKD patients' mean blood urea levels before and after intervention at Prabumulih City Hospital in South Sumatra. This study employs a two-stage quasy design. The first stage of making snack bars was organoleptic tests with Friedman test analysis. In Phase II, patients are given snack bars, and their blood urea levels are measured using t-dependent tests. Purposive sampling was used to select CKD patients from a group of up to 13. The best formula for the brown rice snack bar was formula 3 with 225 kcal energy, 3.46 g protein, 12.68 g fat, 24.26g carbohydrate, 38.92 g phosphorus, and a Phosphorus-Protein ratio of 11.24 mg/g. The mean blood urea levels of CKD patients differed statistically (p-value 0.000). With its low protein and low phosphorus-to-protein ratio, the snack bar's formula can lower blood urea levels in CKD patients. So this snack bar can be used as CKD diet food.

A well-planned pregnancy procedure will benefit the fetus's health and the mother's physical and psychological adaption to pregnancy. Unwanted pregnancies and on-time pregnancies in a woman might be classified as situations of unmet need. Along with pregnancy, this influence on the mother's unpreparedness to conceive can even lead to the decision to undergo an unsafe abortion. This study aimed to elicit data on the features of premarital couples' preparation for a safe pregnancy and their association with knowledge about pregnancy preparation. The study used a cross-sectional design and purposive sampling to examine 57 premarital couples and then utilizing the chi-square to analyze data. The study's findings indicate that respondents will marry at a high risk of pregnancy. There are still some couples who lack adequate knowledge about pregnancy preparation and have not received adequate counseling. There is a significant relationship between the bride and groom's ages and their level of knowledge about preparing for a healthy pregnancy (p-value 0.000), level of education and level of knowledge (p-value 0.000), perspective and level of knowledge (p-value 0.000), and history of exposure to information and level of knowledge (p-value 0.000). Increased marriage age, greater education level, and provision of relevant information will assist married couples in supporting increased knowledge that is more adequate for pregnancy preparation.

Menopause is a woman's last menstrual period influenced by reproductive hormones, occurring in her fifties. Various efforts can be made to overcome the symptoms and complaints in menopausal women, including peer groups and positive affirmations. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the peer group model and positive affirmations on physical and psychological changes due to menopause in the work area of the Pondok Rangon Community Health Center, Cipayung District, East Jakarta. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with two group pre-test post-test. The sampling technique used the purposive sampling method with a total sample of 50 respondents. The results showed that the average age of the respondents was 53.36 years, with the majority of respondents (64%) having low education, not working (86%), and most of them being multiparous (70%). The intervention group results showed a significant difference before and after treatment, both in physical changes (p-value 0.001) and psychological (p-value 0.000). The control group found no significant difference in physical changes (p-value 0.085) and psychological changes (p-value 0.174). The study concludes a decrease in physical and psychological changes in the intervention group who received peer group treatment and positive affirmations compared to the control group who did not receive treatment. Menopausal women can use the peer group model and positive affirmations to overcome the complaints of menopausal women.

Fatigue is a complaint that many children with Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) feel while undergoing chemotherapy and is a multidimensional problem. The condition of fatigue that children continuously feel requires treatment from health workers. To optimize physical exercise interventions, researchers combined physical exercise with Levine theory based on four conservation principles to increase patient activity during treatment. The goal of the study was to provide physical exercise to children with ALL undergoing chemotherapy. The research method is quantitative with Quasy Experimen With Control Group Pre-Test-Post-Test Design. This study sample of ALL children aged 8-13 years who underwent maintenance phase chemotherapy. The sample was taken using consecutive sampling techniques with a total of 22 people. The data collection tool uses the Multidimensional Fatigue Scale questionnaire. The results showed that the average fatigue scale in the pre-test intervention group was 31.18 and post-test 47.64. The pre-test control group was 27.27 and post-test 39.18. The level of fatigue experienced by children decreased (p 0.000) after being given physical exercise walking 5 minutes, six times in 14 days. The involvement of health workers is expected in conducting a comprehensive assessment of fatigue symptoms, and the results of this study can be used as one of the physical exercise interventions in the management of fatigue in children with leukemia.

Cultural diversity affects individual beliefs and understanding of treatment situations, influencing the treatment process. As care providers, nurses must deliver culturally sensitive care, so cultural competence is paramount. Cultural competence is a crucial element of cross-cultural care. Nevertheless, research on assessing nurses’ cultural competence across different care settings is lacking. This study was aimed to analyze differences in nurses’ cultural competence in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency rooms. The study used a non-experimental quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach conducted on 108 nurses in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency rooms. Data were collected using a Cultural Competence Assessment Instrument (CCAI) questionnaire. The data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis. Descriptive analysis and the Kruskal Wallis test were used to analyze the data, with p<0.05. The analysis results documented no significant difference in cultural competence among the nurses, evidenced by p 0.841. Their cultural competence was not significantly related to the type of nursing service provided. However, cultural competence is dependent on nurses’ cultural knowledge and organizational support related to the provision of cultural competence training.

The era of globalization causes people, especially teenagers, to quickly get information through the internet. It impacts the mindset and lifestyle of teenagers who tend not to filter information correctly and adequately. Misperceptions about sex issues encourage teens to try sex issues without realizing the dangers. This study aims to develop a Sex Education Book (SEDUBOO) as a medium for adolescent sex education. This study uses ten youth cadre respondents to use a Research and Development (R&D) design. The instruments used are expert questionnaires, user response questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test post-test to measure adolescent knowledge related to knowledge of sex education. The results of the study stated that the developed media could be categorized as very feasible, based on the results of the assessment of material experts (90.7%), media experts (94%), and respondents' assessments (94.2%). Adolescent knowledge increased with the pre-test results of 2 respondents in the excellent category and the post-test results of 10 respondents in the excellent category. Media is an essential factor in providing health education. Appropriate media help convey information about sex that can be received appropriately to prevent deviant behaviour.
