Abstract

Abstract: Islamic theosophy had developed in the literature of Palace poet in the form of Serat, Suluk, Primbon, Wirid and can even be found also in tembang mocopat, Chronicle, and puppet script. Academic studies of the literary legacy of the Palace poets are synchronous. Consequently, they can not answer the questions related to the contextual dynamics of the text. Thus, it is necessary to conduct the diachronic, genealogical, and historical study to fill the gap. The paper tried to answer the question of the direction of thought of Islamic theosophy developed by the Javanese poet. The evidences found in this study showed that the poets led to javanization of the concept of Islamic theosophy. Theosofi Islam berkembang dalam literatur Pujangga Keraton dalam Bentuk Serat, Suluk, Primbon, Wirid dan bahkan dapat ditemukan pula dalam tembang mocopat, Babad maupun  naskah pewayangan. Kajian-kajian akademis terhadap warisan sastra Pujangga tersebut bersifat sinkronis. Akibatnya, kajian-kajian itu tidak bisa menjawab pertanyaan terkait dengan dinamika kontekstual dari teks tersebut. Untuk itu, diperlukan kajian genealogi yang diakronis dan menyejarah. Tema yang dikemukakan pada makalah  ini mempetanyakan ke mana arah pemikiran theosofi Islam yang dikembangkan para Pujangga Jawa. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa para Pujangga mendorong konsep Theosofi Islam ke arah Jawanisasi Islam, dengan beberapa bukti yang ditemukan. Keywords: theosofi Islam, Jawanisasi Islam, genealogi, Pujangga

Abstract

Abstract: The man carrying out his devotion to Allah SWT always harassed by demons. Devil is the enemy of Allah SWT. Indeed, the existence of Devil as the enemy of Allah SWT as well as humans. But who is the real devil? Do they belong to certain creature which are different from human beings, jinn, angels, animals and others?. Then, what is exactly interpretation of the devil in human life? This issue is very rarely discussed. The writer concludes that "Devil" is a genie. It also indicates that Allah has commanded angels andg genie to prostrate to Adam. These two creatures are commanded to prostrate. Thus, there is no  kinds of Devil, as human beings, angels, animals and others. The term "satan" is used when he "in action" interferes humans. While the term "devil" is used in normal circumstances. To avoid the temptations of the devil, the Qur'an offers a very wise solution that is to keep people following the instructions or teachings written in the Qur'an. In asking for guidance (hida>yah), scholars divided into two kinds, namely first, the guidance that the actor is the man himself and secondly, the guidance that the actor is God. These instructions are not only the ability to know the direction of the first guidance, but also the ability to perform it. ملخص:كان الناس في عبادة الله دائما سيواجهون الغرور من الإبليس. لا شك أن الإبليس عدو الله وعدو الناس. ولكن من هو الإبليس؟ هل هو مخلوق مثل البشر والجن والملائكة والحيوانات وغيرها؟  بخلاف ذلك، كيف حقيقة تفسير الإبليس في حياة الإنسان؟ وهذا لا يبحثة الباحثون. وخلص الكاتب أن " الإبليس" من الجن وهذا كما يشير فى البيان على أن الله أمر لأن يسجد الملائكة والجن إلى آدم. وأمر الله السجود إلا على هذين المخلوقين. ولهذا ليس هناك مخلوق يسمى بإبليس، كما كان البشر والملائكة والحيوانات وغيرها، وكان هناك إلا الجن. وهذا يختلف عن الشيطان لأن مصطلح  "الشيطان" يستخدم عندما "في الفعل" يعني حينما يوسوس البشر. وأما مصطلح "إبليس" يستخدم في الظروف العادية. وللاجتناب عن غرور إبليس، يقدم القرآن حلا بسيطا وهو أن يعمل الناس الإرشادات المكتوبة في القرآن الكريم. وينقسم العلماء إلى أمرين لطلب الهداية، أولا: الهداية التي هو من نفسه وثانيا، الهداية التي جاءت من عند الله. وهذه الهداية الثانية ليست مجرد القدرة على معرفة ما كما فى الهداية الأولى، ولكن أيضا القدرة على أداء الهداية التي ملكها. Abstrak: Manusia dalam menjalankan pengabdiannya kepada Allah SWT. selalu diganggu oleh iblis. Iblis merupakan musuh Allah SWT. Memang keberadaan Iblis sebagai musuh Allah SWT—demikian juga manusia—tidak diragukan lagi. Tetapi, terkait siapa sebenarnya iblis tersebut? Apakah ia merupakan makhluk tersendiri sebagaimana kemakhlukan manusia, jin, malaikat, hewan dan lain-lain?. Lain daripada itu, apa sebenarnya tafsir dari iblis dalam kehidupan manusia? Hal ini amat jarang disentuh oleh para akademisi. Penulis berkesimpulan bahwa yang disebut “Iblis” adalah golongan jin. Hal ini juga mengindikasikan bahwa yang diperintahkan oleh Allah SWT. untuk bersujud kepada Adam adalah malaikat dan jin. Kedua makhluk inilah yang mendapat perintah untuk bersujud. Dengan demikian, berarti tidak ada makhluk yang bernama Iblis, sebagaimana makhluk manusia, malaikat, hewan dan lain-lain. Yang ada adalah makhluk jin. Hal ini beda dengan syetan. Terma “setan” digunakan ketika ia “in action” mengganggu manusia. Sedangkan terma “iblis” digunakan dalam keadaan biasa (normal). Untuk menghindari godaan iblis, al-Qur’an menawarkan solusi yang sangat bijaksana yaitu agar manusia mengikuti petunjuk atau ajaran yang tertulis dalam al-Qur’an. Dalam memohon petunjuk (hida>yah), ulama membagi menjadi dua, yaitu pertama, petunjuk yang pelakunya adalah manusia itu sendiri dan kedua, petunjuk yang pelakunya adalah Tuhan. Petunjuk ini tidak sekadar kemampuan untuk mengetahui arah seperti petunjuk pertama, tetapi sekaligus kemampuan untuk melaksanakan isyarat-isyarat yang dimiliki. Kata Kunci: Iblis, the Qur'a>n, Manusia, Hida>yah.

Abstract

Abstract: This study is aiming at revealing the standardization of beauty on social media, especially youtube for the Beauty standard on YouTube made by Gita Savitri Devi by using Sara Mills's Critical Discourse Analysis. The results showed that women often feel that they are not beautiful after watching the beauty video tutorial on YouTube. Their mindset is led to see that beautiful standards by what they see in the video. Though the definition of beauty according to social media is inseparable from the role of capitalists. Gita Savitri present her YouTube content criticaly and and smartly and she campaigned for loving herself at her YouTube site. This is in accordance with Islamic teachings that we have to respect not only from the appearance/outside but also inside/ inner beauty.ملخص: تناقش هذه الدراسة معايير الجمال في وسائل الإعلام الاجتماعية وخاصة يوتيوب (youtube)، لفيديو معايير الجمال على قانة Gita Savitri Devi باستخدام تحليل الخطاببالنقدعندSara Mills .وأظهرت النتائج أن النساء يفترضن في كثير من الأحيان أنهن ليس جميلات بعد مشاهدة الفيديو التعليمي على يوتيوب(Youtube) ـ يقود تفكيرهم إلى رؤية أن المعايير الجمال هي ما يرونه في الفيديو. في حين أن تعريف الجمال وفقا لوسائل الإعلام الاجتماعية لا ينفصل عن دور الرأسماليين .تأتي Gita Savitri مع محتوى يوتيوب الحرجة والذكية وتنظيم الحملات لحب النفس في قانته على يوتيوب(Youtube) .وهذا يتفق مع التعاليم الإسلامية التي لا ترى الجمال فقط من الخارج (الجمال الخارجي) ولكن الجمال الحقيقي هو داخل المرأة (الجمال الداخلي).Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas tentang standarisasi kecantikan di media sosial khususnya youtube  terhadap video Beauty standard di canel youtube Gita Savitri Devi dengan menggunakan Analisis Wacana Kritis Sara Mills. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kaum perempuan acapkali menscaning bahwa dirinya tidak cantik setelah melihat video beauty tutorial di youtube. Mindset mereka digiring untuk melihat bahwa standar cantik adalah seperti apa mereka lihat di video tersebut. Padahal definisi cantik menurut sosial media tidak terlepas dari peran kapitalis. Gita Savitri Hadir membawa konten youtube yang kritis dan cerdas dan mengkampanyekan mencintai diri sendiri di canel youtubenya.  Hal ini sesuai dengan ajaran islam yang tidak hanya melihat kecantikan dari luarnya saja (outer beauty) akan tetapi kecantikan yang sejati adalah berada dalam diri seorang perempuan (inner beauty).

Abstract

Abstract: This article discusses the relationship between Islam and Pancasila in the midst of the struggle for world ideology that continues to exist in the midst of the nation state. In the past, ideological battles took place between the United States and its allies with the Soviet Union and its allies. After the destruction of communist ideology in Eastern Europe under the rule of the Soviet Union, the ideology of capitalism seemed to be a single ideology which ruled over countries in many countries. Indonesia, which has Pancasila as an ideology of nationality, is certainly also suitable in the battle arena. In Indonesia, there was also an internal battle between political Islam, moderate Islam and Nationalist Islam. This position is interesting to be observed in the present and future era, in its consideration with how to practice Islam on the one hand with the practice of Pancasila on the other. So far many views have been expressed between Islam and Pancasila. Through library research by studying content analysis, it is concluded that the ideology of Pancasila has strength as a counterweight between ideological battles both internally and internationally. Pancasila has proven to be a unifying ideology for the Indonesian people.الملخص:كتبت هذه المقالة لأجل التّصور عن حضور علاقة الإسلام ومبادئ الخمسة وسط مبارة الإيديولوجية العالمية. فمن المعلوم، حدث مبارة الإيديولوجية العالمية الماضية بين دولة Amerika Serikat وحليفتهم مع دولة Uni Soviet وحليفتهم. وعندما الإيديولوجية الشيوعية للدول بأوروبا الشرقية هالكة، فأصبحت الإيديولوجية الرأسمالية أحد الإيديولوجية المستخدمة في مختلف الدّول. ولكن، لا يشترك دولة إندونيسيا وسط هذه المبارة. لأنّ الإيديولوجية المستخدمة في دولة إندونيسيا هي المبادئ الخمسة. ولكن الواقع، حدثت المبارة الداخلية بإندونيسيا بين الإسلام السياسية والإسلام الوسطية والإسلام الوطنية. فأصبحت المشكلة الواقعة حالية وآتية بإندونيسيا جذّابة للبحث، ولاسيّما المشكلة في تنفيذ شريعة الإسلام بجانب تنفيذ المبادئ الخمسة كإيديولوجية الدولة. وبنسبة إلى آراء الجامع، فتبدو موقع الإسلام ومبادئ الخمسة في حالة المتطلبة وليست متناقضة. وبالإضافة إلى تنفيذ الدراسة المكتبية بنهج التحليل السياقي، فأخذا الكاتبان على النتيجة الآتية: استحقت الإيديولوجية بالمبادئ الخمسة القوّة لتوازن الإيديولوجية الدّاخلية من هجوم الإيديولوجية الدّولية. وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، أصبحت المبادئ الخمسة كالإيديولوجية لتوحيد الدولة الإندونيسيا.Abstrak: Artikel ini menggambarkan tentang relasi Islam dan Pancasila di tengah pertarungan ideologi dunia yang terus hadir di tengah negara bangsa. Di masa lalu, pertarungan ideologi terjadi antara Amerika Serikat dan sekutunya dengan Uni Soviet dan sekutunya. Pasca kehancuran ideologi komunis di Eropa Timur di bawah kekuasaan Uni Soviet, maka ideologi kapitalisme seperti menjadi ideologi tunggal yang menguasai negara-negara di banyak negara. Indonesia yang memiliki Pancasila sebagai ideologi kebangsaan tentu juga berada di dalam arena pertarungan tersebut. Di Indonesia, secara internal juga terjadi pertarungan antara Islam politik, Islam moderat, dan Islam Nasionalis. Posisi ini yang menarik untuk dicermati di era sekarang dan akan datang, dalam kaitannya dengan bagaimana mengamalkan Islam di satu sisi dengan pengamalan Pancasila di sisi lain. Sejauh ini banyak pandangan yang menyatakan bahwa antara Islam dan Pancasila bukanlah berada di dalam posisi berlawanan tetapi saling membutuhkan. Melalui penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan content analysis, maka disimpulkan bahwa ideologi Pancasila memiliki kekuatan sebagai penyeimbang di antara pertarungan ideologi baik secara internal maupun internasional. Pancasila telah membuktikan bisa menjadi ideologi pemersatu bagi bangsa Indonesia.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the essence of 'aql as kamāl al-awwal in Ibn Sīnā's philosophy. In this article, the author uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive-analytical and philosophical approach. This study found several important points which include: first, 'aql by Ibn Sīnā is defined as a potential of nafs insāniyyah or nafs nāṭiqah which helps humans to achieve knowledge and truth; secondly, the essence of 'aql for Ibn Sīnā is kamāl al-awwal, therefore it is immaterial and not material; third, the essence of 'aql as kamāl al-awwal makes it correlate with the nafs, rūḥ, and qalb which are human spiritual entities; fourth, 'aql as kamāl al-awwal also shows its potential as a tool to gain knowledge, where the process begins with the capture of phenomena through the five senses and then digested by 'aql and assisted in conceptualizing it through the emission of 'Aql Fa'āl; fifth, Ibn Sīnā's idea of the essence of 'aql may have been influenced by earlier Muslim philosophers such as al-Kindī and al-Fārābī, besides having undergone several explorations. In addition, he also succeeded in influencing later Muslim philosophers such as al-Ghazālī. is something that settles in life and appears in the action easily without the need of thinking first. Abstract

Suhrawardi was a philosopher and a Sufi who robustly influenced the development of the sciences. With his philosophy of illumination (Hikmah al-Ishraq), he proposed the concept of hudhuri epistemology by which he fought against the domination of rationalistic and skeptical peripatetic epistemology that ultimately negated all forms of metaphysics. This paper aims to reveal the concept of Suhrawardi's epistemology, his anxiety and criticism of the validity problem of peripatetic philosophy, and the role of hudhuri's epistemology in responding to contemporary scientific challenges. This work is library research using documentary techniques to collect the necessary data. The collected data were analyzed utilizing the descriptive-analytical method. This study finds that the concept of hudhuri epistemology proposed by Suhrawardi presents the view that metaphysics is a dimension that cannot be separated from epistemology and can be rationalized. Furthermore, the metaphysical concept of faith, according to Suhrawardi, can be used as a solid philosophical foundation. Thus, with this hudhuri epistemology, the human senses and logical thinking limits can be transcended. Even with it, humans can acquire not only 'experience' or 'concepts' about reality, but they can also discover the nature of reality.

Abstract

Hadith is a field of science that is less desirable, so the study of hadith and research on hadith in Indonesia, including in Madura, is far behind other fields of Islamic sciences. Whereas hadith is the mother of Islamic science and should be the main object of study. So far, various pesantren in Madura is more identical to Arabic, interpretation, and fiqh, so research on pesantren, including pesantren in Madura, is dominated by research on these three fields of study. This type of research is descriptive research with a hadith approach through library research and field research to describe the network of hadith scholars in Madura. This study shows that in general, the network of hadith scholars in Madura cannot be separated from the network of hadith scholars in Indonesia which originates from the network of Middle Eastern scholars, especially Mecca from the late 19th to 21st centuries, which was formed and spread through teacher-student relationships and friendships. They contributed to the development of hadith studies in Indonesia through the study of hadith books, sharing of records and ijazah sanad hadith, and writing and publishing work in the field of hadith.

Abstract

One of the challenges for nurturing moderate values is to tame our extremism and fanaticism for becoming tolerant belief as extremism and fanaticism oftentimes trigger a blind submission to the religion, which may lead the belief to conservatism and radicalism. This study aims to investigate the attitudes of Muslim millennial youths in Lampung Province in perceiving moderate religious values. Employing the qualitative research method with a case study approach, the research solicited 16 Muslim millennial youths from a variety of youth groups, such as members of student organizations (Organisasi Siswa Intra-Sekolah or OSIS and Kerohanian Islam or Rohis), nationalist youth organizations, Muslim Students Association (HMI), and Campus Dakwah Institute (LDK) to gather their perspectives about the intra-religious relationship, leadership, and gender equality. The purpose of collecting their perspectives is to identify whether these youths are moderate or semi-moderate or whether they are radicalism or conservatism. The findings showed that levels of religiousness among these Muslim millennial youths are generally moderate and fairly moderate. However, some youth respondents were reportedly categorized as conservatism due to their responses that seemingly supported the issue of anti-non-Muslim leadership and anti-intra-religious relations. The study recommends, therefore, that moderate religious values should be promoted among Muslim millenial youths so that conservatism can be eradicated in order to infuse tolerance, moderation, and assertiveness to differences.

Abstract

Abstract: Religiosity or religious adherence is a form of the peculiarities of each religion in implementing its teachings. Religious adherence has various complexions in expressing its religion. True religious adherence will generate an identity that is rich with discretion. To achieve it, a religious attitude and orientation are needed. Being religious means how to behave toward himself and others. The attitude of religion has a variety of typologies, namely inclusivism, exclusivism, pluralism, eclecticism, and universalism. Various typology reflects the tendency of one in practicing religion. The choice of the typology can be influenced by motivation whether intrinsic or extrinsic, which is the orientation of the religious person. To interpret one's religiosity, then need to understand how his religious attitude and orientation. The religiosity of Indonesian society, particularly Javanese, is strongly influenced by its local culture. Syncretism has been justified by Geertz that religious adherence to Javanese society can not be separated from its local cultural influence. This study used in-depth critical analysis methods to show the link and continuity between Javanese religion, culture, and society To interpret the religiosity of Javanese society, one must refer to the religious attitude and orientation which refer to the five typologies. Therefore, this research will identify the interpretation of the society's religiosity to find the dynamic and potential concepts of religious adherence coloring the development of the religiosity world.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the dimensions of love and human wisdom according to Jalaluddin Rumi. This research is qualitative research with a library research model studied with an ethnosufistic approach. The primary data of the research is the book of Fīhī mā fīh by Jalaluddin Rumi. The data collection technique is done by documentation. The researcher systematically documents the data of the trilogy of love and human wisdom in the book according to the specified theme/fasl. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out descriptively-interpretatively. The research results mention; human love and wisdom, according to Rumi, is divided into three dimensions; man to Allah SWT; human to human; and humans to nature. This is stated in the book of Fīhī mā fīh Article 1 "All because of Allah SWT"; Article 2 "Humans are astrolabes of Allah SWT"; Article 14 "from and for Allah". Human love and wisdom for humans is stated in Article 4, "We glorify the descendants of Adam"; Article 6 ", A believer is a mirror for other believers"; and Article 17 ", Humans are a combination of angels and animals". Human love and wisdom with nature is stated in Article 34, "God's Earth is wide"; Article 37 ", From that ocean, these drops come from; Article 46 ", Nature is the medium of the transfiguration of Allah SWT."
