Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the low Tenth Students’ Indonesian result studying of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. The purpose of this research, first, explain the students’ result studying of Indonesian that uses cooperative learning think pair share type is higher than two stay two stray type. Second, explain the interaction between cooperative learning think pair share type and two stay two stray type that is applied based on basic competence to influence the result studying of Indonesian. Third, explain the result studying of Indonesian lesson of students that have high competence by using cooperative learning think pair share type is more than the students that have high competence by using cooperative learning two stay two stray type. Fourth, explain the result studying of Indonesian lesson of students that have low competence by using cooperative learning think pair share type is more than the students that have low competence by using cooperative learning two stay two stray type. This research is using experiment method by factorial 2x2 design. This population is about 142 students, Consist of 4 classes from tenth grade of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. The samples of this research are X1 and X3 grade that is specified trough purposive sampling technic. Before doing act, the basic competence of students are tested to know the difference of the students’ ability. How to get the  students’ result of Indonesian studying by using  a test which is used before to get the validity and reliability level. From 45 items tested, it gets 30 decent items. The first, third and fourth hypothesis are tested by Average of two trials (t-test) and the second hypothesis is tested by Anova test two paths (f-test). Before the average two trial is used, requirement analysis date is done first, it is normality test with Lilliefors and Homogenity of variance test. The result of the first hypothesis test shows that it gets th = 3,78 > tt = 1,67 based on t-test at real level 0.05, it means H1 received and H0 rejected. Second, based on F-test at real level 0.05, it gets 0,79 < 4,17 means Fcount < Ftable, it means H1 rejected and H0 received. Third, based on t-test at real level 0.05 gets th = 4,228 > tt = 1,73 it means H1 received dan H0 rejected. Fourth, based on t-test at real level 0.05 gets th = 1,851> tt = 1,73 it means H1 received dan H0 rejected. Thus, it can conclude that the students’ Indonesian result studying by using the cooperative learning think pair share type is higher than the students’ Indonesian result studying by using the cooperative learning two stay two stray type of the X grade of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan at 5% significant level. Abtract: Learningthe Indonesian Language, specially reading aloudin Elementary School must use varioustechniques. This causes,less motivatedstudentstolearn independently and less ability in reading aloud. Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to describe text category and social function of the naming village folktale. Data were gathered through two steps. First, the speech acts were recorder using audiovisual recording. After that, the recording was transcribed from regional language to Indonesian language. Second, the data of category and social function of naming village folktale were conducted through note talking, observation and interview. Then, the data were analyzed through four steps,   (1) data inventory, (2) classification, (3) discussions and conclusions, and (4) data reporting. The result of this research showed  that naming village folktale in Kerinci can be categorized into myths, legend and fairy tale which are full of moral values. Moreover, in social function side, this folktale has five social functions as follows: developing society’s integrity, social control, solidarity strengthening, and communal harmonization. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this researched was to (1) describe the benefit of figure speech in campaign advertising of Governor and Vice Governor Candidat in DKI Jakarta 2012 at Kompas, Republika, and Suara Pembaruan, (2) describe the benefit of rhetoric in campaign advertising of Governor and Vice Governor Candidate in DKI Jakarta 2012 at Kompas, Republika, and Suara Pembaruan. This research is qualitative research that had content analysis. The data research was a sentence or speech in campaign advertising of Governor and Vice Governor Candidate in DKI Jakarta 2012 at Kompas, Republika, and Suara Pembaruan. The results of this research showed two things. First, the utilization figure of speech in campaign advertising of Governor and Vice Governor Candidate in DKI Jakarta 2012 at Kompas, Republika, and Suara Pembaruan gave the poetic elements and had metaphor meaning or had additional meaning. Second, utilization of rhetoric in campaign advertising Governor and Vice Governor Candidates in DKI Jakarta 2012 at Kompas, Republika, and Suara Pembaruan for delivering the meanings, explanation, pressing and ornaments directly, and also have impressed by reader. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendekomentaskan pantun Badondong sebagai kajian sastra lisan untuk menjelaskan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam pantun Badondong.Hasil penelitian ini adalah pantun Badondong dan di dalam pantun Badondong terkandung nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter sebagai berikut. (1) Nilai-nilai pendidikan yang berhubungan dengan ketuhanaan, yang bersifat rligius. (2) Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang berhubungan dengan diri sendiri yang terdiri atas indikator kejujuran, bertanggung jawab, disiplin, kerja keras, percaya diri, mandiri, dan ingin tahu. (3) Nilai-nilai pendidikan  yang berhubungan dengan sesama yang terdiri atas indikator sadar akan kewajiban diri, patuh pada aturan social, santun, kesetiaan, dan kasih sayang. (4) Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang berhubungan dengan lingkungan yang terdiri dari indikator peduli terhadap social, lingkungan dan sportifitas. Keempat nilai ini, dapat diimplikasikan bagi perkembangan bidang ilmu bahasa, sastra, dan budaya.   Kata Kunci: pantun badondong, nilai, dan pendidikan karakter

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to found the description and the explanation of the developing of student ability. The student’s result of learning in identifikasi of intrigue tale by alsing jigsaw cooperative modeling type of the student class X-5 of SMAN 2 Pangkalan Kerinci. The kind of research is Class Action Research (CAR) that done in three cycle in class X-5 of SMAN 2 Pangkalan Kerinci which is consistent of 24 students. The data was collected by using the observation sheet, field research test. Qualitative data such as, field reserch hope and interviw that were analysised by using the technique of miles and Huberman (1984) and quantitative data, such as observation sheet percentage of Arikunto (1996). The result of research showed that learning by using jigsaw cooperative modeling type be able to developing of the student ability, activity and the students result of class X-5 SMAN 2 Pangkalan Kerinci. Based on the result  of percentage data on the thind cycle shaw that the result is better than before which is 90% with KKM is 70 based on the result of research above the conclution that is learning jigsaw cooperative modeling type can develop the student ability, activity and the result of student learning. This happin because jigsaw cooperative modeling type is done through the appropriate procedur ways. By using learning jigsaw cooperative modeling type.  The learning material together and they active in discussing to reach out for learning competensi.   Kata kunci: proses pembelajaran, menganalisis unsur intrinsik hikayat, model kooperatif tipe jigsaw

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed: (1) to describe the process of student’s improvement in writing a poem Through Sugestology Principles at class VII. I SMP N 4 VII Koto Sungai Sarik of Padang Pariaman Regency, (2) to describe some influential factor to student’s improvement in writing a poem Through Sugestology Principles at class VII. I SMP N 4 VII Koto Sungai Sarik of Padang Pariaman Regency. The type of this research was class room action. It was conducted in two cycles with four meetings. Each cycle used four stages, were planning, action, observation or evaluation and reflection. The data of this research was obtained in the form of qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data was collected from the observation and field notes. Other was obtained from students’ performance test and questionnaire of student’s response toward the teaching-learning process. Based on the research result showed that the implementation of suggestology principles in teaching writing a poem in fact can improve their skill in writing a poem. It can be seen from their result performance of average in a class in pre cycles, the average skill of writing in a class was 63.6%, after take an action, have happened the increase of their writing skill average was 72.6%, in the second cycles, their writing skill increased become 82.0%. some influential factor of student’s skill improvement in writing a poem were teacher’s actions or treatment in teaching learning process of writing a poem, an appropriately a teaching model used in teaching writing a poem, and comfortable condition was created by teacher. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims at improving the students’ ability to convert an interview text into narrative text. Based on the facts, the students’ ability to convert interview text into narrative was still very low, due to the lack of students’ interest in learning. Besides, teaching method used by the teacher could not cultivate students' interest in learning especially in writing narrative. This research used direct instructional model. The subjects were students at SMP 26 Sarolangun in the academic year which consisted of 18 students. Data obtained in the form of qualitative data which were collected through observation and field notes. Quantitative data obtained through performance tests and questionnaire of students’ responses towards the learning. From the data obtained, it was found that direct instructional model could improve the students’ narrative writing skill. In addition, direct instructional model has created a situation that is more attractive, comfortable, and happier for the students.   Key words: narrative writing skill, direct learning model.

Abstract

Abstract: Character Building is a concept in the world of education related to planting noble values ​​and moral values ​​to students that are expected to produce students who are not only smart intellectually, but also smart emotionally and spiritually. Character building can be found in two literary novels “Laskar Pelangi” by Andrea Hirata and “Negeri 5 Menara” by Ahmad Fuadi, which will be analyzed through the perspective of sociology of literature. Character building in both novel will apply a grand design developed by Kemendiknas (2010) that divided it into five points, they are: the character building that related to the God, individual, humans, environment and nationhood. Then, the character building in both novels will be discussed in the form of knowing the good, feeling the good, and acting the good. Abstract

Abstract: Writing is one language skills at High School. Based on the observation, the found that’s students faced a problem in how to express their mind and their idea to tell their experience in writing short story. It is seen from the results of students learning to write short stories not reach the minimum completeness criteria values. Suspected this was ave to the learning factors that are less attractive to students. This classroom research aims to (1) describe improving student in writing a short story with  using audio visual trailer movie, (2) describe result student in writing a short story with  using audio visual trailer movie. This research is this classroom action research. This research in conducted in two cycles. Each cycles goes through some steps: planning, acting/implementating, observating, reflecting. This classroom research aims to describe improving student in writing a short story at Class X.1 of Senior High School 2 Padangpanjang by audio visual movie trailer. The data of the research were qualitative data from observation using the observation sheets, field note, and quantitative data as such a student test performance assessment. The research findings are: (1) there is an increase in activity of students during the learning process in the first cyle and second cyle, audio visual aided movie trailer, it is evident from the observations collaborators, (2) there is an in students learning outcomes in writing short story, from precyle average only 66 to 35% the percentage of completeness, first cyle in increased to 75 with 74% percentage of completeness, and the second cyle the average value being 83 with a percentage of 94% completeness.
