Abstract

Small medium enterprises seems to have change for a better production with their quality and quantity. Still we have SMEs that using traditional method to produce their product. That means unoptimal production because of limitation of time and some unexpected failure that may happened during production. So that, by using touch of technology, will minimizing the failure, effectiving time, and incrasing units of production.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of managerial opportunistic behavior on dividend policy, either directly or through an intervening variable as a profitability. The population of this research is the manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange with the observation period starting in 2001 until the year 2007. Data collection method used was purposive sampling, and obtained as many as 154 sample firms. Furthermore, testing of all hypotheses in this study used path analysis through Amos program package 16.0. Results showed that: 1) managerial opportunistic behavior as proxy for business risk (systematic risk) have a positive effect and significant on profitability; 2) profitability and managerial opportunistic behavior with a proxy of debt to asset ratio have a positive influence and significant on dividend policy; and 3 ) profitability does not mediate the relations of causality between managerial opportunistic behavior and dividend policy.

Abstract

Batik is generally thought of as the most unique Indonesian fashion. They produced from several regions, especially Central Java (including Banyumas) and Jogjakarta as the center of the art. Since 1970’s, the golden era of Batik Banyumas has gone. The number of people in Banyumas who rely on Batik for their living decreasing significantly from day to day. There is a worried that Batik Banyumas as the most distinctive heritage will disappear. This reseach is designed to find out some inhibitant factors perceived by business people in developing Batik Banyumas using Analytical Hierarch Process (AHP). Moreover, case study is conducted to calculate the feasibility of investing in printing batik from marketing and financial aspects

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to 1know bussines performance of small-scale handycraft industry in Purbalingga and assumed variables influencing the industry. Data used are contribution income (as bussines performance indicator), education level, age, sum of family dependency, entrepreneur attitude, bussines experience today, bussines experience in the same field (as entrepreneur characteristic indicators), sum of labour, skill, wage, labour turnover (as labour characteristic indicators), bussines location, sum of partnerships, sum of suppliers (as environmental characteristic indicators) are collected from 90 respondent samples. Some problems of this research are how the bussines performance of small-scale handycraft industry in Purbalingga and assumed variables influencing the industry and are variables those include in entrepreneur characteristic, labour characteristic and environmental characteristic which explained in 13 variables influence to bussines performance, as simultaniously and partially and which dominant variables influence to bussines performance of small-scale handycraft industry in Purbalingga. The research method used are multiple regression and elasticity analysis. The conclusions of this research are (1) all of independent variables, as simultaniously, have significant influence to bussines performance, (2) as partially, the variables those influence significantly are education level, entrepreneur attitude, wage, bussines location, (3) The dominant variables influence to bussines performance of small-scale handycraft industry in Purbalingga are wage.

Abstract

Purwokerto sebagai kota tujuan wisata kuliner memiliki makanan olahan yangkhas, yaitu keripik tempe. Produk olahan keripik tempe ini menjadi produk unggulan,dalam rangka mengembangkan industri keripik tempe di wilayah Purwokerto, JurusanManajemen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis UNSOED mengadakan kegiatan pengabdiankepada pelaku industri keripik tempe. Kegiatan berupa pendampingan danpenyuluhan. Kegiatan penyuluhan masyarakat yang diusulkan bertujuan untuk: (1)meningkatkan kemampuan wirausaha mitra, (2) meningkatkan kualitas dan pangsapasar produk dan (3) meningkatkan kemampuan manajerial mitra. Tim pengabdiankepada masyarakat akan bekerjasama dengan dua mitra yang termasuk masyarakatproduktif yaitu Toko Tempe Kripik Sawangan No. 1 dan Toko Tempe Kripik Siti. Keduamitra tersebut bergerak di bidang industri makanan yang memproduksi makanantradisional khas Banyumas.Luaran yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat iniadalah: (1) Teknologi tepat guna untuk membuat produk makanan berkualitas eksport,(2) Prototype produk berkualitas eksport, (3) Teknologi tepat guna untuk membuatperencanaan dan analisa bisnis, (4) Metode pemasaran yang tepat dan pola kemitraanuntuk meningkatkan pangsa pasar, (5) Jasa pendampingan administrasi keuangan.Untuk mencapai tujuan dan target luaran yang telah ditetapkan kegiatan pengabdiankepada masyarakat ini akan dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan beberapa metode.Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan/ sosialisasi, pelatihan, workshop, danpendampingan kepada mitra.

Abstract

The purpose this study to identify and analyze the effect antecedent variable of satisfaction that is web design, web navigation, costumized preview, website quality, service quality, and perceived value to consumer loyalty of Lazada.co.id. The sample in this study there were 155 respondents who are consumers of Lazada.co.id in Jakarta region. Convenience sampling method used in the determination of the sample. Data was analyzed using Equational Structural Modeling (SEM). These results indicate web design has no effect on web quality, web navigation has positive effect on web quality, customized preview has no effect on web quality, web quality has no effect on perceived value, service quality has positive effect on perceived value, perceived value has positive effect on satisfaction,satisfaction has positive effect on consumer loyalty.

Abstract

The research aims to investigate and examine effect of training on employees' organisational based self-esteem, in the context of organisational commitment at privat organization. It is expected that the result of the research will provide an account to human resources management literature with regards to training, organisational based self-esteem, and organizational commitment issue. The research is a survey which attempts to examine and describe the variables using cross-sectional data analysis. Quantitative approach was employed in this research. The research population consists of employees of product retailer organisations. Total number of the respondents are 81 (response rate is 45%). Multiple regression analysis was employed for data analysis purpose. The result shows that organisational based self-esteem has mediating effect on the relationship between training and organisational commitment.

Abstract

This research is entitled “Ethical Intervention and Moral Development ofStudents”. The purpose of the study is to compare the moral development of studentsfrom Accounting Departments with students of other departments at Economic FacultyUnsoed. The instrument used to measure the moral development of business studentswas defining issue test (DIT). Research findings indicate that students who haveattended ethical class have better moral development as compared to those who havenot taken the course. Moreover Accounting students have better moral development ascompared to students from other departments. Based on the findings, it isrecommended that ethics should be offered to business students since it appears toaffect students moral development. In addition, the inclusion of Ethics as a coursemust be offered to other departments too, as the case of accounting course. Lecturesshould provide simulation as a method of teaching in class in order to give betterimpact on students.

Abstract

Purpose: The research aims to investigate and examine the dimension of transformational leadership on the private and public organization. Methodology: Total number of mailed questionnaires was 150, and the total number of returned questionnaires was 110, but there were only 100 complete questionnaires; thus, the response rate is 73.3%. Confirmatory and cluster is performed for data analysis purpose. Findings: The result shows that all transformational leadership dimensions are confirmed loading on the right places. The result provides an account in establishing a dimension of transformational leadership that will give more evidence of MLQ questionnaire can adopted on public and private organization. The result also showed that the private and public have differences on transformational leadership dimension that has more important. Abstract

This paper examines the link between contingency theory and management control systems. Contingency theory states that the design and use of control systems is dependent upon the context of the organizational setting. A better match between the control systems to the contingency variable’s hypothesized to result in increased organizational performance, This paper identifies contingent control variables, defines the boundaries of control systems, and categorizes prior work by the analysis complexity. Even though this research stream has provided useful insights, may of the results are tentative and less than definitive. This paper concludes by proposing ways to stregthen contingency theory results.
