Abstract

The community, both individuals and groups, need water for daily and other needs. From the various types of needs, the water for drinking water is a top priority, above all other necessities.Excessive exploitation of groundwater that exceeds the ability of aquifers to provide groundwater due to competition for various interests can cause a continuous decline in groundwater level and will certainly reduce the potential for groundwater availability in the aquifer. In this research, the potential of groundwater in Jeneponto’s aquifers in several locations is examined using in situ pumping test. From the pumping test results, it is known that the potential of groundwater reserve in Jeneponto Regency is quite significant and is spread in several districts with a minimum discharge supply of 4 litres per second. However, some procedures must be taken to protect the availability of groundwater in the regency from the technical aspects for example the determination of pumping location, the depth of groundwater pumping and the maximum pumping discharge allowed, and also all steps that support groundwater recharge.

Abstract

The Sumadra - Pameungpeuk region has an uneven geographical location because it is traversed by mountains and beaches and has a high level of ISO Keraunic which causes many lightning strikes to occur in this region. The disturbance caused by lightning strikes is very worrying because it can disrupt the stability of electric power in West Java, Integrated Service Unit (ISU) Cirebon region in particular and can harm consumers as users of electricity. To minimize the disruption caused by lightning strikes in this study using the parallel mounting inductance method using NA2XSY cable. This study aims if there is a lightning strike on the GSW wire it can be immediately properly grounded. NA2XSY cable was chosen as direct grounding because the inductance value on the cable is smaller than the inductance value on the tower so that when NA2XSY cable is paralleled with the body tower it produces a low parallel inductance value so that it is expected to minimize the occurrence of back flashover due to the induction voltage resulting in the flash isolator. The results showed the lowest tower resistance value in the Sumadra-Pameungpeuk region of 0.21 ohms is located at tower number 77 and the highest resistance is 4.3 ohms at tower numbers 49 feet A and D, this meets PLN's standard of <5 ohms. Parallel inductance installation succeeded in reducing the disturbances caused by lightning, namely, in January-July 2018 the disruption occurred 4 times and in January - July 2019 became 2 times the disturbance.

Abstract

Select random is a query in a SQL database that can retrieve data randomly from a table. Select random is often used to present data in various applications such as websites, data mining and others. Unfortunately, ordinary select random query is inefficient in terms of processing time if used in large table. This paper, tries to solve this problem by proposing two optimized methods of select random query, namely the Small Percentage Order by Rand (SPO-Rand) and the Filtered Column Order by Rand (FCO-Rand). The two proposed methods are then compared in terms of processing speed with a standard Select Random query or Normal Order by Rand (NO-Rand). The scenario of the experiment is to collect five random data from several data sets, ranging from 10.000 to 200.000 data. Based on the results of experiments that have been conducted, the proposed FCO-Rand method obtained the best process speed with 0.074 seconds at 200.000 data, followed by SPO-Rand with 0.265 seconds. These result are much faster than the standard random select method (NO-Rand) which takes up to 7,035 seconds for the same task.

Abstract

The insulator plays an essential role in preventing the flow of current from the phase conductor to the earth through supporting towers so that the insulation is a significant part of the electrical energy transmission system. Generally, high-voltage insulators are widely used as external plug insulators, for that the performance of insulators is influenced by environmental conditions that indirectly affect the surface condition of the insulators. In this study, a diagnostic tool used in the testing surface of the insulator, which can classify mechanically whether the insulator is good or damaged. The classification method uses TensorFlow Machine learning. Machine Learning is used as a brain in the isolation classification process while TensorFlow functions to store training data and test data in the classification process. The results obtained from this study show the accuracy of classification data is 98%.

Abstract

The coastal hydrodynamic pattern around the estuary is determined by the wave, river discharge, and the tidal condition which work simultaneously. The wave factor contributes to more dominant influence on estuaries located in the open sea. Wave coming towards the coast can generate current on the coast. The current pattern around the estuary is determined mainly by the magnitude of the angle formed between the incoming wave and the coastline. The objective of this research is to analyze the wave diffraction patterns and the length of tidal propagation towards the direction of the coast in the estuary. Investigated area is situated in the estuary of Jeneberang River. The analysis of tidal propagation and wave diffraction covers a reach of 4270 meters upstream. Data collected include bathymetric, wind, and tidal data. Furthermore, the result of this analysis can be used as an input in efforts to manage and develop the coastal area in the estuary of Jeneberang River. The length of the tidal propagation in the estuary of Jeneberang River is approximately 1220 meters upstream. Wave diffraction occurs from the north, northwest, and west direction. The highest wave diffraction came from the west direction with the value of 0.73 m and the lowest wave diffraction came from the north direction with the value of 0.04 m.

Abstract

Balang lompo Island is supplied by Diesel Power Plant (DPP) and Solar Power Plant (SPP), in the operation of SPP it is considered not optimal due to the amount of solar panel capacity of 200 kWp while MPPT capacity of 120 kW and inverter capacity of 100 kVA, with these conditions the research was carried out with the aim of optimizing the generating system on Balang Lompo Island. The optimization of the generating system is conducted by simulation using Homer Legacy Beta software. By entering several important parameters such as technical, economic, and environmental factors therefore, the simulation results obtained in the form of the most optimal system operating patterns represented by one of the smallest net present cost (NPC) parameters, and also the recommended operating hours between DPP and SPP. The research method employed are the preliminary study research, identification and formulation of problems, data collection, data processing using Homer Legacy v2.81 Beta software, and analysis of the simulation results. In this study there are two conditions are compared, the first condition is the existing condition with an MPPT capacity of 120 kW and an inverter capacity of 100 kVA and the second condition is the addition of MPPT capacity to 200 kW and an inverter capacity of 200 kVA. Based on the results, it can be concluded that with the addition of capacity in SPP equipment, namely MPPT capacity to 200 kW and inverter capacity to 200 kVA, it is proven to be able to save NPC costs, O&M costs, fuel costs, reduction in DPP operating hours and DPP fuel consumption. With an NPC value of US $ 3,362,929 (IDR. 48,957,520,382), with the implementation of this system the NPC cost savings could reach US $ 197,161 (IDR. 2,870,269,838) during the 25-year operating period, and savings in US fuel/HSD consumption costs $ 23,936 (IDR. 348,460,288) per year.
