Abstract

In the cultivation of peanuts in Indonesia, especially in dry land with various limited plant growth factors, the main obstacle to planting in dry land is the uncertain level of water availability. One of the efforts to overcome the problem of water availability on dry land is to plant drought-resistant peanut varieties including local superior varieties and national superior varieties that are tolerant of water shortage conditions and have high production potential. The purpose of this study was to study the resistance of several peanut varieties to soil moisture or water availability for plants. This study used a factorial randomized block design. The first factor is plant variety, consisting of V1 = hypoma-1, V2 = hypoma-3, and V3 = local, the second factor is soil moisture, consisting of K1 = 25% field capacity, K2 = 50% lang capacity, K3 = 75% field capacity and K4= Normal (100% field capacity). The results showed that the interaction between plant variety and field capacity had no significant effect on all of the observed parameters. Plant variety had a significant effect on plant height at the beginning of growth, while soil moisture had a significant effect on leaf number at the end of growth, number of pods, pod weight, seed weight per plant, 100 seed weight, and plant productivity. Soil moisture at 50% and 75% resulted in plant productivity not significantly different.

Abstract

Fresh coconut milk (not hydrolyzed) contains lipase enzymes. If coconut milk is hydrolyzed using lipase enzymes, it will produce free fatty acids, lauric acid, and monoglycerides (monolaurin), which have anti-bacterial and anti-viral activities. Besides that, hydrolyzed coconut milk can produce diglycerides which function as emulsifiers. During the hydrolysis process, it's a possibility of damage to the lipase enzyme due to the activity of the protease enzyme in coconut milk. The aim of this study is to examine the activity of the lipase enzyme in coconut milk which is hydrolyzed. The research used two factors, namely the first factor was the hydrolysis time (0, 24, and 48 hours) and the second factor was the incubation temperature (40 C and 55 C) which were arranged factorially. The study was repeated three times and used a randomized block design (RBD). The hydrolyzed fraction in the form of skim was tested for lipase enzyme activity, free fatty acid content, and yield. The results showed that coconut milk which was hydrolyzed for 2 days at 40 oC and 55 oC still contained the lipase enzyme with an activity of 3.49 to 9.40 units/ml. Large fatty acid levels ranged from 0.32 m mol/ml to 0.72 m mol/ml..

Abstract

Demand is the number of goods requested at various price levels in a certain period so the price variable is a variable that influences demand. This study aims to analyze the demand for cabbage by Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University students, Malang City, at Landungsari Market, Malang Regency. Location determination was carried out purposively, with a total sample of 100 people determined by simple random sampling. The data analysis method uses demand function analysis with SPSS version 22 software. The results show that the data is normally distributed, and there are no deviations from the classical assumptions, both multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity, so the selected model can be used properly and is not biased with Adjusted R Square 0.849. Selected independent variables have a significant effect simultaneously on the dependent variable. While partially the demand for cabbage in this study was significantly influenced by the price of the cabbage itself, the price of chicory, the price of mustard greens, and consumer tastes
