Abstract

The results of the teacher's daily research show that children from broken home families often make noise during class hours, this is because the child seeks attention to others. This then prompted the author to conduct a study that focused on broken home children with the aim of conducting a case study which then examined more deeply the impact of broken home families on the moral and psychic development of grade VI elementary school students at SD N 1 Sribitan. By using quality research with a case study approach. Participants in this study the author chose based on backgrounds and behaviors that stood out while in school using purposive samples so that two students were found who stood out from five students who had the same background, namely class VI SDN 1 Sribitan, namely A.C.P and .P.D.A. The results obtained from this study are an illustration that the influence or impact of broken home families is very real in terms of children's moral and psychic development. In this study, it can be explained that the bad moral problems that participants often do are not wanting to apologize if they are wrong, making noise, and not obeying the rules that have been applied in schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent to which multicultural education can stand alone as an independent entity in educational institutions in Tanjung Balai City after the SARA-nuanced conflict.  The results of interviews with teachers and students of SMAN 1 Tanjung Balai revealed that this school tries to integrate multicultural values in the curriculum. However, multicultural education has not been separated as an independent entity. Teachers design the curriculum by emphasizing cultural and religious diversity in learning materials. Students confirm that the concept of diversity is reflected in school learning and activities. This study used a data analysis approach based on the Miles and Huberman framework. The results show that multicultural education in Tanjung Balai focuses on integrating cultural values in learning, but still needs more efforts to realize independent multicultural subjects. Multicultural education has the potential to bridge cultural and religious differences, but it needs professional teacher involvement and appropriate strategies to support the development of religious tolerance among students.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an therapy is a therapy using verses in the Al-Qur'an as a source of inspiration and media to help overcome spiritual, mental, physical and social problems. This includes reading, memorizing, understanding, living, and finding the relationship between the meaning of verses in the Koran and everyday problems and experiences. The discovery of meaning and wisdom allows students to feel emotional balance and improve their well-being, as well as being a medium for learning and understanding the traces of prophetic teachings in everyday life. An understanding of the traces of prophetic teachings was studied in the Prophetic Leadership Lecture at the Professional Psychology Study Program at the Masters Level at the Islamic University of Indonesia. One of the methods in this course is self-reflection on the four dimensions of prophetic leadership: Sidiq, Amanah, Tabligh, Fathanah. Based on self-reflection, several themes were found, namely finding new drugs, being grateful, feeling calm, and practicing knowledge. These findings enable students to become better individuals, to understand themselves and others, to function their minds and hearts through appreciating the values found in the Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

Continuous exposure and consumption of pornography leads to pornography addiction. Islamic psychotherapy is able to be an alternative solution to this problem, one of which is muraqaba which is defined as individual awareness that Allah knows all that is in the heart, mind, and body. This paper uses a literature review method with an integrative review. The data used is the result of previous empirical studies, both quantitatively and qualitatively, in Indonesian and English. With applying muraqaba, individuals are able to be more aware of their feelings and thoughts, then more aware of the negative triggers of behavior so that it can be a step to avoid them. Can increase self-regulation leads individuals toward negative emotional states and self-reflection related to pornography. The awareness that comes from the application of muraqaba makes the individual to be careful in his actions, thoughts, feelings, and inner circumstances.
