The form of tourism that is less environmentally friendly is the next impact. The impact on nature that is less guarded sustainability and only concerned with profit alone.Alternative tourism is one of the forms completion taken. Alternative tourism has many advantages that provide a positive impact for the community directly and the environment and also provide educational and recreational value for tourists. Alternative tourism also has a selling point for the potential that exists, one of them potential fruits in the District Demak. Especially guava and star fruit, both the fruit is very abundant and many processed products from both fruit.Agrotourism is an idea chosen as an alternative form of tourism which will support the concept of agri-business center from the existing local government. Agrotourism also as a means of introducing the potential of fruit and agribusiness center to the visitor with the hope that the planned place will live and the standard of living of the local community will increase. To support agrotourism that presents the concept of sustainable tourism, the Eco-architecture is raised to support the objectives of Agrotourism. In eco-architecture there are some basic thoughts that can be a solution of natural damage that occurs due to the form of mass tourism. Eco-Architecture is environmentally sound development, which utilizes the potential of nature as much as possible but still prioritizes conservation, environmental education and welfare of the surrounding community

Abstract

Uncontrolled and inconsistent urban growth trigger the growth of new, non-interconnected distribution centers (sprawl). The problem that came later was the emergence of congestion problems affecting the economic, social and environmental sectors. TOD concept as an alternative solution to these problems by integrating transport and spatial development in the surrounding area transit stations. Surakarta is one of the cities that implement the concept of TOD at its transit station considering the role of Surakarta City as the National Activity Center (NAC) which makes itself as its hinterland destination. Implementation of the concept is evident from the development of the Bus Rapid Transit transportation system under the name BST (Batik Solo Trans) which has three corridors of travel route to date. The purpose of this study is to assess the suitability of regional transit stations that pass through the three routes to the concept of TOD. The research technique  used is quantitative technique  by using scoring analysis method. The results of the research mentioned that the transit district of Solopurwoari, Solobalapan and Solojebres included in the inappropriate closer classification to the concept of TOD. It is due to the three transit areas have not fulfilled the concept of sixth principle tod, including density, mixed-uses, pedestrian and cyclist friendly and parking. Therefore, transit planning is required to accommodate these six principles.

Abstract

The number of population in cities has increased into a very spectacular number. That phenomenon simultaneously pushes the cities to find the solutions that could comprehensively solve many urban problems. Especially in the developing cities, the problems are much complexier. Inefficient urban planning is the main problem which is derived into such problems: traffic jam; backlog increasing number; floods; etc. One that could be the solution is the superblock concept. Superblock could provide an integrative planning between many function zones: residencials; offices; shopping center; public spaces; etc. In this concept, citizens could do their daily activities just in one site because all places are closely connected.City of Surakarta is one of developing cities in Indonesia which has many urban problems and potentials. High population density, backlog number, and traffic jam are the problems. On the other hand, the city also has potentials: high public economic level, high property commercial market, and developments of the city. By those problems and potentials, City of Surakarta could adapt the superblock concept to develops a mixed-use area.Mixed-use area could solve the vital problems: backlog number. By the superblock concept, the mixed-use area can not only provide residencial facilities but also provide commercial areas to develop the city such as shopping center and retail offices for the inhabitant’s lifestyle fulfillment. 2500 units apartment, 250 units retail office, shopping center, and public park are the main facilities in this mixed-use area. Each facility is also devided into some supporting facilities. By adapting the concept of superblock in planning a mixed-use area, several of urban problems in the City of Surakarta are hopefully solved.

Abstract

Boyolali is one city in Indonesia with a massive growth in infrastucture development, especially in terms of public and communities space development that became urban planning goals of Boyolali city in the last five years. There are many development programs that have been planned by the goverment, one of them is the plan for building Botanical Garden as a conservation area and public space in 2016. This program is the reason why Boyolali Botanical Garden is choosen as the object design. The design of the Botanical Garden is more focused on the educational recreation purpose that implement fun learning experiences as a learning method. This method has proven to make learning new things, in this case is botany , fun and easier to understand. The architectural approach used to solve the design problems of this Botanical Garden is Fun Design approach, so the design of Botanical Garden tries to direct architectural elements toward a design that gives a pleasant and fun environment to the users because fun environment is the most conductive learning climate for non-formal education. The architectural elements that can help to form a fun environment in Fun Design approach is : Forms, Mass Arragement, Colors, Materials, Aperture and Lighting. These elements can help to create a fun learning environment by emphasizing the design decision on the impression that can be conveyed by each elements. The impression that need to be conveyed by the design to make fun learning environment among others is cheerfullness, energetic, happy, flexible, freedoom, and refreshing. One of the example is the application of bright color (such as yellow, red, blue, ect) to convey cheerfulness and energetic impression on the design.
