<![CDATA[This article aims to explain that the study was to develop a learning module on the subjects of Food and Beverage Services for students majoring in food services at SMK Putra Anda Binjai. This study was Research and Development (R & D) using the ADDIE development model. The results of research and development done in this study indicate that the validation results by learning modules covering material expert’s feasibility content with value Aiken's V = 0.78 valid criteria, eligibility presentation of Aiken's V = 0.80 on valid criteria, aspects of language with Aiken's V = 0.8 on valid criteria, and validation of design experts with Aiken's V = 0.80 on valid criteria. Test practitioners learning modules to two teachers showed an average yield of 81.67 in the category of "very practical", while practitioners by 3 students showed an average yield of 79.32 category of Very Practical overall results of the validation by subject matter experts, expert media practitioners and the overall test states that learning modules rated valid and practical, so that used to test for effectiveness. The result of the effectiveness of the learning modules has an average pretest score is 50.83 while the average post-test value to 76.95 so it can be concluded that post-test value results are more significant. <![CDATA[This Basic Arduino Learning Kit in Robotics is developed to help someone who wants to learn the basic concepts of Arduino and its operation in the field of robotics which is becoming increasingly important in our daily lives. In this learning kit, it provides three practical works that allow students to deepen their knowledge of the Arduino Uno microcontroller in robotics step by step. In Practical Work 1, students are exposed to the experiment of lighting three LED lights with pattern of running lights and flashing lights. In Practical Work 2, students are exposed to measurement work using ultrasonic detector and displaying its reading on a computer screen and on the screen of a mobile phone with the Android operating system via a Bluetooth module. In Practical Work 3, students are shown how to build a three -wheeled prototype robot and how to control the robot using a mobile phone with the Android operating system. The effectiveness of this learning kit has been tested in a learning workshop on 21 Pre-Diploma students of the Session of June 2020 Polytechnic of Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin and has shown very encouraging feedback.]]>

<![CDATA[Research that has been done by building engineering students as a thesis tends to choose a theme that has been widely researched before. This research aims to find out the trends of vocational education research in the field of engineering building including trends of theme research and trends of methodology research. This research used descriptive quantitative research methods with a library research approach. Data collection techniques using documentation. Data analysis techniques are used in content analysis. The results of this study show the trends that have occurred in vocational education research in the field of building engineering in 4 universities, then obtained the trend of vocational education research themes and research methodology trends: 1) The theme of vocational education research in the field of building engineering is in high demand is the theme of teaching and learning with a percentage score of 47%, 2) The research method in demand is Research and Development with a percentage score of 31%, 3) Interesting research subjects are learners with a percentage score of 58%, 4) The data collection technique in demand is a questionnaire with a percentage score of 36%, and 5) The data analysis technique of interest is descriptive statistical analysis with a percentage score of 67%.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to measure and describe students' decision-making to choose Vocational High School (SMK) in terms of their career understanding and motivation. The subjects of this study were 135 Year 9 students in five SMK throughout Southwest Aceh Regency. The total sampling method was used to choose the subjects from the entire population. Furthermore, the data were analysed using correlation analysis between variables partially and simultaneously with ANOVA (F test). The results of the partial correlation analysis show that the career understanding variable has a significant influence on students' decision-making to choose SMK with rcount = 0.411 at a significance level of 0.05. In addition, the motivation variable also has a significant influence on decision-making to choose SMK with rcount = 0.375. Simultaneously, career understanding and motivation significantly affect choosing SMK with Fcount = 19.850 and Ftable = 3.06 (Fcount > Ftable). This study results indicate that career understanding variables consist of work planning, work exploration and knowledge of the world of work. In contrast, the motivation variables consist of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, which could be the basis for students' decision making]]>

<![CDATA[Tourism is a multidimensional activity that can show the identity of tourist attractions, one of which is the Colo Muria Tourism object which has local charm and wisdom that can be visited by tourists. This study aims to plan a digitalization system at the Colo Muria tourist attraction, Kudus Regency using Augmented Reality technology. The research method used is agile development. The steps of this research are Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation, and Testing. Application testing using alpha testing in the form of functional testing (black box testing), portability testing and beta testing in the form of usability testing (media expert tests and application user observer tests). The alpha test that tested the functionality aspect using the black box test showed that the application was running well and as planned. Beta testing was carried out by media experts and the percentage results were 80%. From these results, it can be seen that the digitization system at the Colo Muria tourist attraction has good capabilities, so it can be declared worthy of being used as a means of tourism promotion. For beta testing using the respondent test, the final average score is 79%, so it is included in the acceptable or feasible criteria for use. Suggestions put forward for further research are to add better-animated travel videos and 3D object animations so that the Colo Muria tourism object digitization system is more complete.]]>

<![CDATA[Based on research conducted by PISA, the ability to solve problems and think critically of Indonesian students is still below the average score set by PISA. Problem based learning is one of the learning models recommended by the Ministry of Education and Culture to be applied in improving these abilities. However, the lack of problem-based learning that has been applied so far is the lack of use of media that can be used as support in learning activities, resulting in inconsistencies in the impact of problem-based learning in improving student skills. The importance of these skills for students to have in this era of the industrial revolution 4.0, makes educators have to be more creative and innovative in implementing learning. Therefore, this study aims at seeing efforts to improve problem solving skills and critical thinking skills through problem based integrated computer assisted instruction (CAI). This study used a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test control group design. The population in this study were undergraduate students of Mechanical Engineering Education, Padang State University. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire which is used to see students' problem solving and critical thinking skills. The data analysis technique in this study is in accordance with the research hypothesis, where research hypotheses 1 and 2 use independent sample t-test and research hypothesis 3 uses MANCOVA. <![CDATA[This study aimed to analyze the hotel management graduates' perception of work conditions and the moderating effect of salary on work motivation in the hotel industry during the COVID- 19 pandemic. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach. The total population was 670 hotel management graduates with the sample's determination based on the type of purposive sampling. The sample size of the study is 20% of the total population (134 graduates) who are estimated to work in the hotel industry. A total of 134 respondents were successfully collected. The data analysis technique used is Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that: There is a significant effect of work condition toward hotel management graduates’ work motivation in the hotel industry during the COVID- 19 pandemic and there is a significant moderating effect of salary toward the relationship between work condition and hotel management graduates’ work motivation in the hotel industry during the COVID- 19 pandemic. What could be said from the result of the study is that the impact of work conditions toward work motivation in the hotel industry during the COVID-19 pandemic would be increased with the presence of salary.]]>

<![CDATA[Engineering technology in robotics for the present era is no longer new, especially in high education, marked by Indonesian robot contests routinely held annually by the national achievement center. The participants in this event are groups of students from all higher education institutions spread throughout Indonesia. The development of robotics technology is now faster to spur individuals and students to compete to conduct research and development in robotics. The study aims to develop a six-legged robotic motion system or so-called hexapod. The research was conducted using the Addie model research method consisting of five stages, namely, analyze stage to analyze the needs of the development of the robotic motion system and analysis of the needs of tools and materials to be used. The design stage of designing the mechanical structure of the robot both in terms of hardware and in terms of robot software, the development stage of developing a six-legged robot's motion system to be more stable and more efficient in moving, the implementation stage is a test stage of the robot's motion system that has been developed. The evaluation stage is the last stage of this development research; at this stage, the evaluation is done to ensure the robot's motion system is feasible to use.]]>

<![CDATA[Air Tawar Barat Village is included in the High-Risk Zone (area with a high level of vulnerability to tsunamis) in Padang City, so very severe damage likely occurs in the event of a tsunami. The characteristics of the tsunami in Padang City are local tsunamis or short-range tsunamis, where the time interval for tsunami arrivals is between 20-30 minutes. Based on these conditions, a tsunami evacuation route is urgently needed by the community. The current evacuation route is still ineffective because the distance that must be covered is 3-5 km in less than 30 minutes. This study aims to evaluate the evacuation routes that are less effective by comparing the evacuation routes from the government with the results of GIS analysis. The method used in this research is Network Analyst. The results of this study found that the time needed to evacuate was 10 minutes by going to 26 P-TES. Where 24 P-TES are located on the UNP campus, 1 is in the Air Tawar Timur Village and 1 is a planned P-TES. The evacuation route generated from the results of the GIS analysis is more effective than the route from the government because the route to P-TES is closer than having to leave the tsunami zone so that it is more likely to be taken by the community.]]>

<![CDATA[Productivity is an alternative to evaluating the performance that has been done even one of the most effective ways in assessing the efficiency of using several inputs in producing certain outputs. the study was conducted at PT Johan Sentosa. The company is engaged in processing palm oil into CPO (crude palm oil) and kernels. In this case, the company must replace an important process called the sterilizer system from the horizontal sterilizer to the vertical sterilizer. This change will certainly have an impact on company productivity. In this study, the method used is Marvin E Mundel where partial productivity will be identified in the form of depreciation value index, material, labor, energy, and maintenance, and know the total production value index. The results of this study obtained a partial productivity index on the declining workforce, other partial productivity such as depreciation, material, labor, energy, and maintenance have increased while the index value of total productivity increased after a change in the sterilizer system.]]>
