Abstract

Abstrak: Candi Batujaya yang berlokasi di Desa Segaran, Kecamatan Batujaya, Kabupaten Karawang merupakan wilayah pariwisata dengan objek wisata utama yaitu Candi Batujaya. Namun perkembangan pariwisata dan desa wisata belum efektif dan massif dikunjungi oleh wisatawan. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya ialah rendahnya literasi budaya dari masyarakat setempat sebagai content knowledge. Untuk meningkatkan literasi budaya, diperlukan intervensi literasi dalam keluarga yang dikenal dengan istilah literasi budaya. Atas dasar itu dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan judul “Penyuluhan Family Literacy Sebagai Stimulasi Untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Budaya Pada Masyarakat Wilayah Candi Batujaya Karawang”. Kegiatan dari mulai persiapan, pelaskanaan dan evaluasi dilaksanakan selama empat bulan terhitung mulai Agustus s.d November 2015. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada hari Sabtu, tanggal 3 Oktober 2018 bertempat di aula Museum Candi Batujaya Kabupaten Karawang, diikuti oleh 30 orang orang tua (ibu-ibu) yang memilki anak usia PAUD, TK dan SD serta 5 orang tenaga relawan. Materi pelatihan terdiri dari: (1) literasi keluarga, yang mencakup pengertian literasi keluarga, bentuk literasi keluarga, urgensi literasi keluarga, manfaat pembinaan literasi dalam keluarga dan ruang lingkup literasi keluarga; dan (2) literasi budaya, yang mencakup pengertian literasi budaya, bentuk literasi budaya, urgensi literasi budaya, manfaat pembinaan literasi budaya dalam keluarga dan ruang lingkup literasi budaya. Hasil pelatihan diketahui bahwa peserta pelatihan menguasai materi pelatihan yang telah disampaikan. Abstract: Batujaya Temple which located in Segaran Village, Batujaya Subdistrict, Karawang Regency is a tourism area with the main tourism object, Batujaya Temple. But the development of tourism and tourist villages has not been effective and massive visited by tourists. One of the contributing factors is the low cultural literacy of the local community as content knowledge. To improve cultural literacy, literacy interventions in the family are needed known as cultural literacy. Based on that, community service activities were carried out with the title "Extension of Family Literacy as a Stimulation to Increase Cultural Literacy in the Batujaya Temple Karawang Region Community". The activities starting from preparation, training and evaluation were carried out for four months starting from August to November 2015. The activity was held on Saturday, October 3, 2018 in the hall of Batujaya Temple Museum, Karawang Regency, attended by 30 parents (mothers) who having PAUD, kindergarten and elementary school children and 5 volunteers. The training material consists of: (1) family literacy, which includes the notion of family literacy, forms of family literacy, the urgency of family literacy, the benefits of literacy development in the family and the scope of family literacy; and (2) cultural literacy, which includes the notion of cultural literacy, forms of cultural literacy, the urgency of cultural literacy, the benefits of fostering cultural literacy in the family and the scope of cultural literacy. The training results revealed that training participants mastered the training material that had been delivered.

Abstract

Abstract Community Service is carried out by donating Training to anticipate the spread of hate speech before the 2019 Legislative Election and Presidential Election for high school students who are classified as beginner voters in Depok through media literacy with the Getok Tular word of mouth mouth Communication Strategy, which aims to develop strategies used to analyze and discuss hate speech messages in the media, build an awareness of the media as a "text" that provides insight and knowledge into contemporary culture, and also for event agents who are ready to transmit his knowledge of the utterances of hatred (hatred) to peers in order to create greater media literacy and can increase the level of understanding of the wider and faster society. This training method uses explicit or direct teaching patterns, question and answer, and assignments. This training consisted of 16 students from various high schools/ vocational schools in Depok City, where as many as 25% (4 students) Training participants were students who had participated in the election, and as many as 12 students (75%) had never participated in the election . Based on the post test results of 16 participants who took part in the training, there was a significant value, which was 26.56 points from the average pre test score of 45 points with a value range of 20 to 60 points, to 71.56 points ( post test value) by getting a score of 45 to 100 points Keywords: media Literacy, hate speech; word of mouth comunication Abstrak Pengabdian kepada Masyarakai ini dilaksanakan dengan mengadakan Pelatihan antisipasi beredarnya ujaran kebencian (hate speech) menjelang Pemilu Legislatif serta Pemilu Presiden Tahun 2019 bagi siswa SMA yang tergolong sebagai pemilih pemula di Kota Depok melalui literasi media dengan strategi Komunikasi Getok Tular Mulut ke Mulut (Strategi Word Of Mouth Communication), yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan strategi-strategi yang digunakan untuk menganalisis dan membahas pesan-pesan ujaran kebencian di media, membangun sebuah kesadaran akan isi media sebagai “teks‟ yang memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan ke dalam budaya kontemporer, serta untuk melahirkan agen-agen perubahan yang siap untuk menularkan pengetahuannya mengenai ujaran kebencian (hate speech) kepada teman sejawat agar tercipta literasi media yang lebih massif dan dapat menjangkau tingkat partisipasi masyarakat pemilih pemula secara luas dan cepat. Metode Pelatihan ini menggunakan pola explicit instruction atau pengajaran langsung, tanya jawab, dan penugasan.Peserta pelatihan ini terdiri dari 16 orang siswa-siswi dari berbagai SMA/SMK di Kota Depok, di mana sebanyak 25% (4 orang siswa) peserta Pelatihan merupakan siswa yang pernah mengikuti pemilu, dan sebanyak 12 orang siswa (75%) belum pernah mengikuti pemilu. Berdasarkan hasil post test dari 16 peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan, terdapat peningkatan nilai yang cukup signifikan, yakni sebanyak 26.56 poin dari nilai rata-rata nilai pre test adalah 45 poin dengan rentang nilai 20 s.d 60 poin, menjadi 71.56 poin (nilai post test) dengan rentang nilai 45 s.d 100 poin.

Abstract

As one of world languages, English is broadly used in many aspects such as science, business, technology, and education. Thus English is highly necessary to be introduced as soon as possible to the students in order to compete in the globalization era. The purpose of this community service activity is to integrate the English material in the curriculum of TPQ (Al-Qur’an Learning Center), so the students can know earlier about English as a global language. This activity was conducted at TPQ Al-Mataab - Tembokrejo – Muncar – Banyuwangi in which the classes were divided into two, they are class A (students aged 7-10) and class B (students aged 11-14). The methods used were drilling, flashcard, and songs in training and giving Basic English materials to the students. Some steps in performing this activity were preparation, conducting pre test to find out the initial of students’ English ability, training and teaching, and giving post test to know the progress of the activity. The mean score result of class A showed the enhancement from 43.89 in pre test to 62.41 in post test. While in class B the pre test result was 61.4 and in post test increase into 71.6. It indicated that students are eager and excited in learning English and it is feasible and potential to be integrated in TPQ curriculum.

Abstract

The purpose of the present research were disaster mitigation guidance to children who are victims of floods in Selebung, Keruak, East Lombok, NTB. As a form of active contribution of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program in responding to floods that have been experienced by the Selebung community in December 2017. The problems found were anxiety and trauma after flood natural disasters. The solution offered is to carry out post earthquake flood guidance and counseling activities and flood disaster mitigation guidance. The method used: (a) needs analysis, with 3 activities, namely: 1) participant observation, 2) direct interview, 3) games. (b) confirm the target of the activity and establish a good cooperative relationship. (c) implementation of activities (d) monitoring and evaluation. First, implementation have been carried out, it can be concluded as follows: 4, assessment activities. Second, information services about flooding through video screening are coupled with discussion and giving feedback. Third, Painting Therapy. Fourth, Play Therapy. Of the six assessment criteria regarding developments that have been carried out through observation assessment, the average of these activities runs optimally. With an average score of 95.0% - 100%. Only around 2.5% - 5.0% of participants did not provide the maximum response during therapy.

Abstract

Abstrak , Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan membantu dan mensosialisasikan pemanfaatan rumput laut untuk dibuat ice gel, dimana kebutuhan akan ice gel, saat ini semakin besar, karena digunakan untuk proses recovery anak yang sedang sakit, proses recovery, atau untuk kepentingan ekonomi, pembuatan ice gel dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara salah satu sumbernya adalah dengan rumput laut (algae), dimasyarakat Pulau Tidung yang merupakan salah satu daerah penghasil rumput laut, masih belum optimal pemanfaatannya, petani lebih senang menjual hasil panennya kepada tengkulak, PkM ini dengan metode workshop, dimana Target luaran yang diharapkan setelah pelaksanaan workshop ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat pulau Tidung tentang pengetahuan dasar algae serta kemampuan pemanfaatan rumput laut menjadi ice gel yang akan dimanfaatkan untuk proses recovery. Pada pelaksanaannya semua peserta antusias mengikuti dengan baik dan mendapat dukungan dari pemerintah setempat bahkan dari Pemerintah Kabupaten. Abstract, This community service program was aimed to help the community bycommunicating the utilization of algae to produce ice gel of which need recently grows greatly as it is commonly used in the recovery process of an ill child, recovery process in general, or for an economical purpose. To produce ice gel, any material can be used. Algae is one of them. The PulauTidung community as one of the algae farmers is seen not to have utilized the algae optimally. They prefer to sell their harvest to the middlemen. The objective of this program with workshop as its method was to increase the awareness of PulauTidung community of basic knowledge about algae and help them acquire the competence in utilizing algae to produce ice gel which then could be used in recovery process. During workshop, all participants seem to be enthusiastic in following all activities and they received support from both local and regency governments.

Abstract

Abstract Most Brothers are Small Medium Enterprise (SME) in the printing or canvass clothes, shirts, hat, bags and others in the city of Depok. Currently, Most Brothers is still using the system of recording financial data, order data, and stock data manually or not computerized. This research aims to propose the use of a system information such as application in integrating financial data, order data, and stock data. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative by conducting observations and interviews directly. In making application, used design database desktop based MYSQL application. The output produced by this application is a simple financial report consisting of income statement and cash flow. There is also a order data report to complete consumer orders in structured and timely. As well as, report of stock data to find out the number of raw materials available. Keywords: Information System, Application, Financial Report, Order Data, Stock Data, Small Medium Enterprises (SME) Abstrak Most Brothers adalah Usaha Kecil Makro (UKM) dalam bidang percetakan atau sablon baju, kaos, topi, tas dan lain-lain di kota Depok. Saat ini, Most Brothers masih menggunakan sistem pencatatan data keuangan, data order, dan data stok secara manual atau belum terkomputerisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengusulkan pembuatan sistem informasi berupa aplikasi untuk mengintegrasikan data keuangan, data order, dan data stok. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan malakukan observasi dan wawancara secara langsung. Dalam pembuatan aplikasi, digunakan perancangan database berbasis desktop dengan aplikasi MySQL. Output yang dihasilkan aplikasi ini yaitu laporan keuangan sederhana yang terdiri dari laba rugi dan arus kas. Terdapat pula Laporan data order untuk menyelesaikan pesanan konsumen secara terstruktur dan tepat waktu. Serta, laporan data stok barang untuk mengetahui jumlah bahan baku produksi yang tersedia.

Abstract

Abstract Authentic assessment has a strong relevance to the scientific approach to learning that is in accordance with the demands of the 2013 Curriculum. Its existence is very important for teachers to understand. However, in reality there are still teachers who do not understand authentic assessment as an important part of the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. Therefore, it is very important to do community service activities about authentic assessment, especially for PPKn subject teachers at the Junior High School level in Indramayu Regency. The form of P2M activities in the form of workshops with problem solving methods rests on cooperative inquiry. The target audience is 45 PPKn teachers at the Junior High School level in Indramayu Regency. The results of P2M activities showed an increase (1) participants' understanding of the basic concepts of authentic assessment with a score (84) after the workshop and (93) after online mentoring; (2) Understanding of authentic assessment according to the 2013 curriculum with the value of (87) after the workshop and (90) after online assistance; (3) the ability to identify the types and authentic assessment instruments with a value (84) after the workshop and (90) after online assistance; (4) development of instruments, authentic assessment rubrics (80) after workshops and (86) after online mentoring. Abstrak Penilaian authentik memiliki relevansi kuat terhadap pendekatan ilmiah dalam pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tuntutan Kurikulum 2013. Keberadaannya sangat penting dipahami oleh para guru. Namun, dalam kenyataannya masih terdapat guru yang belum memahami penilaian autentik sebagai bagian penting dari implementasi kurikulum 2013. Oleh karena itu, sangat penting dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat tentang penilaian autentik, khususnya bagi guru mata pelajaran PPKn Tingkat SMP di Kabupaten Indramayu. Bentuk kegiatan P2M berupa workshop dengan metode pemecahan masalah bertumpu pada cooperative inquiry. Khalayak sasaran adalah guru PPKn Tingkat SMP di Kabupaten Indramayu sebanyak 45 orang. Hasil kegiatan P2M menunjukkan peningkatan (1) pemahaman peserta mengenai konsep dasar penilaian autentik dengan nilai (84) sesudah workshop dan (93) sesudah pendampingan online; (2) Pemahaman penilaian autentik menurut kurikulum 2013 dengan nilai (87) sesudah workshop dan (90) sesudah pendampingan online; (3) kemampuan mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis dan instrumen penilaian autentik dengan nilai (84) sesudah workshop dan (90) sesudah pendampingan online; (4) pengembangan instrumen, rubrik penilaian autentik (80) sesudah workshop dan (86) sesudah pendampingan online.

Abstract

The purpose of this assistance is to provide a knowledge and practice basis for conducting authentic assessments and technical guidance in preparing and carrying out authentic assessments. Mentoring is done to improve the ability to conduct assessments, especially authentic assessments for teachers, so that teachers can understand and apply authentic assessments in the process of evaluating teaching and learning activities in schools. This place of assistance is at SMK Negeri 4 South Tangerang, the time of assistance on August 4 to Sept 1, 2018 the method used in the activities of the event include lectures, brainstorming, question and answer, workshops, assignments and live demonstrations. The mentoring results show that 80% the teacher of SMK Negeri 4 Tangerang understands the concept of authentic assessment as indicated by the work of the teacher in the form of test and non-test instruments which are reported to refer to authentic evaluation models of authentic evaluation rubrics. The results of this assistance were immediately reported to the principal and witnessed by the school supervisor as a facilitator

Abstract

SMP YPK Tomer is located in Naukenjerai District, where the majority of the population is indigenous Papuans, the Kanum Tribe. Most SMP YPK Tomer students have a way of thinking, and a lifestyle that is still very thick with the cultural principles that develop in their community. The purpose of this training is to provide education and equip math and science teachers at SMP YPK Tomer with the skills to choose and design mathematics and science learning media that are integrated with local cultural values (in this case the Kanum tribe associated with Kampung Tomer). Training and mentoring are designed using ethnomatematics and etnosains which are learning mathematics and science by involving local cultural values. The results of this service are obtained: ruler and protractor media, spatial structure, simple conductivity test material, and air purifier. The response strongly agrees that students are given the learning media for the readability criteria of 87%, the free criteria are used at 73%, and the accessibility criteria is 81%.

Abstract

The community service program carried out by the Mechanical Engineering Department, Padang State Polytechnic lecturer is an activity in order to fulfill the Tridarma of Higher Education for the 2018 budget year. The activity was held in the form of SMAW 2F welding improvement training for the youth of Koto Luar, Pauh sub-district, Padang. In this area, there are many high school graduates who have not dared to enter the real workforce because they feel they do not have sufficient skills to join the field workforce. On the other hand, the Koto Luar village is currently developing very fast, because there has been assimilation between migrants and indigenous people. Along with increasing population, of course also followed by the addition of living facilities. To synergize the increase in progress with its human resource capabilities, various knowledge and skills are needed, one of which is the electric welding skills knowledge of SMAW 2F. Its welding training was attended by 21 Koto Luar youths for 4 days at the Mechanical Engineering department workshop. Expected abilities after training, Koto Luar youths are able to properly weld 2F methods according to welding standards, so that later participants are expected to enter the world of welding work. After debriefing the participants can take part in the welding training well, so that they get the SMAW 2F welding certificate signed by the director of the Padang State Polytechnic. The welding enhancement training activity of SMAW 2F received positive support from the chairman of the Community Empowerment Agency (BPM) and village leaders, because this activity had long been wanted by the community. The Koto Luar community hopes that the training to improve SMAW 2F's welding ability for youth in Pauh Padang sub-district can be carried out continuously, because many young people are interested in SMAW's welding knowledge, the goal is to be able to open entrepreneurs and fill jobs around Lambung Bukit, Koto Luar , and Limau Manis Padang.
