Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the increase in concept mastery of students class VIII-2 through STAD type cooperative learning model in MTs Negeri 40, West Jakarta. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a classroom action research technique, which is an action performed by the teacher to improve teaching by making changes and studying the consequences of the changes. Techniques used in data collection are: end of cycle test and observation. The results show that the process of learning mathematics with the application of STAD type cooperative model can make student’s learning outcomes better. The result obtained is the absorption class in cycle I is 51.163%, then repaired in cycle II with the absorption class of 90.69%. This shows progress that the students have obtained good learning outcomes from cycle I.

Abstract

The most important thing in a learning process is the teacher and learning media. Learning media appropriately selected and used by a teacher will certainly have an effect on the learning process and result. The information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based learning media is very important in the development of education. ICT is a program used as a tool for manipulating and conveying information. With ICT, the learning process in the classroom becomes easier because the knowledge and information can be manipulated, manageed and transferred easily. The ICT-based learning media can develop students' thinking skills and professionally improve the ability of teachers. Teachers become more motivated and creative during the class. The purpose of this study is to know the role of teachers in using ITC-based learning media at RRI Cisalak Elementary School. The method used in the research is a qualitative descriptive method. The research conducts in-depth interview, observation and literature review. The samples are taken using a purposive sampling technique. The data are analyzed in some steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research show that teachers at SD RRI Cisalak have been able to carry out the learning process by using ICT-based learning media. Teachers play a very big role in the continuity of ICT-based learning. The role of the teacher is also supported by the school principal and school committee by increasing the number of facilities, infrastructures and  ICT-based learning media in schools

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh penerapan metode resitasi terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP AT-TAQWA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan penulis adalah metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP AT-TAQWA Jakarta Pusat tahun ajaran 2013-2014. Teknik sampling yang digunakan teknik simple random sampling, sebanyak 40 siswa. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dari tes sumatif terhadap responden pada pokok bahasan garis dan sudut. Teknik pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji beda rata-rata (uji-t). Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh yang positif dari penerapan metode resitasi terhadap hasil belajar matematika.

Abstract

Education is a long term investment that requires effort, cooperation from all related parties and substantial funds to achieve improvement in the educational process. Therefore, it is necessary for teachers to choose an appropriate method, so that each material received is easy to accept and students are able to learn independently. One of alternatives, namely by using the method of ProblemSolving learning accompanied by geometry media on the materials of cube and cuboid. The purpose of this research is to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the use of problem solving learning method accompanied by mathematics geometry for students class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sukadana. This study uses a classroom action research design. The subject of this research is 30 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sukadana. This study consists of two cycles, the learning result data obtained through the test results at each end of cycle. From the results of test, students who passed with KKM ? 65 in cycle I are 18 people or 60% and in the II cycle increase to 24 people or 80%. From the results of data analysis, it can be concluded the use of problem solving learning method accompanied by geometry media can improve students? learning outcomes on cube and cuboid materials.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of curriculum k13, especially scientific steps on the PAI (Islamic Education) subject in Islamic Elementary School Bina Insani Muslim Jatimulya in South Tambun subdisstrict, Bekasi Regency. The research instruments consist of observation, interview and documentation. The data of the research are analyzed employing a qualitative descriptive technique. The result of the one-month research shows that the scientific steps have been implemented as a whole. However, its implementation is not in accordance with the regulations of Minister of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia, consisting of 5 steps: observing, asking, trying, reasoning or associating and communicating. The inadequacy of the scientific steps in PAI learning can be seen in its non-sequential implementation. In the observing step, the aspect of aqidah (faith) is a dominant obstacle because it contains the concept of knowledge that is related to a belief and its abstract character. The discussions in this step tend to be rowdy and not focused. Besides, the imitating activity is only applied to aspects of fiqih (jurisprudence), such as the material of cleaning procedure. In the associating step, especially on the aspects of Al-Qur'an and hadith, students find it difficult to associate the contents of Al-Qur'an with the phenomena in their daily life, especially for students who have just learned to read Al-Qur'an. The last one is communicating ideas has not organized yet and tends to be quiet.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian catatan perbaikan yang diberikan dengan frekuensi selalu, jarang, dan tidak diberikan terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematika siswa. Metode penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan kelompok eksperimen 1 selalu diberi catatan perbaikan, kelompok eksperimen 2 jarang diberi catatan perbaikan, dan kelompok eksperimen 3 tidak diberi catatan perbaikan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Balaraja dengan populasi penelitian siswa SMP kelas VIII. Sedangkan banyak sampel sebanyak 3 kelas yang diambil dari 9 kelas VIII secara random sebanyak 136 siswa. Dari penelitian ditemukan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman matematika siswa antara siswa yang selalu diberi catatan perbaikan dengan yang jarang diberi catatan perbaikan. thitung > ttabel (89,0,05), yaitu 4,227 > 1,990. 2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman matematika siswa antara siswa yang selalu diberi catatan perbaikan dengan yang tidak diberi catatan perbaikan. thitung > ttabel (89,0,05), yaitu 8,772 > 1,990. 3) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman matematika siswa antara siswa yang jarang diberi catatan perbaikan dengan yang tidak diberi catatan perbaikan. thitung > ttabel (88,0,05), yaitu 4,30 > 1,990.

Abstract

This research aims to show the joint effects of Learning Motivation and Numerical Skill on accounting learning achievement of students of SMA Negeri Jakarta Pusat. If there are positive and significant effects, it can be identified how strong are the effects of learning motivation and numerical skill on accounting learning achievement. The method of the research is a survey with correlation and regression analysis techniques to know the effect of each variable. The sample of the research is students. The statistical description of collected samples are then analyzed and data of requirement test are analyzed before conducting hypothesis test. The secondary data are obtained from school documents, which are scores of Final Test (UAS). From the data analysis and hypothesis test, it can be concluded that: (1) There are jointly significant effects of Learning Motivation and numerical skill on accounting learning achievement of students of SMA Negeri Jakarta Pusat, as shown by the value of sig. 0.000 < 0.05 and FObserved = 93,792 (2) there is a significant effect of Learning Motivation on accounting learning achievement of students of SMA Negeri Jakarta Pusat, as proven by the values of sig. 0.010 < 0.05 and tObserved = 2.673. (3) There is a significant effect of numerical skill on accounting learning achievement of students of SMA Negeri Jakarta Pusat, as seen by the value of sig. 0.000 < 0.05 and t Observed= 4.929.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the forms of Learning Media subject with a Project-Based Learning models. In addition, to find out the description of student’s perception in the Project-Based Learning model in the Learning Media subject. The research also aims to find out student’s response to the lecturer’s teaching skill at using the Project-Based Learning model. It is a quantitative descriptive research that uses literature study and survey methods. One of Learning Media subject activities with the Project-Based Learning model is the creation of video tutorials with stages: 1) creating interactive power points using Microsoft Office Power Point application; 2) creating flash using iSpring free 7 application; 3) making a video tutorial using the Screecast-O-Matic application; and 4) making publication through social media Youtube. Student’s perception in the Project-Based Learning model in Learning Media subject is in the good category (very good 30% and good 70%). Next, student's response to the lecturer’s teaching skill at using the Project-Based Learning model is also in the good category (very good 50% and good 50%)

Abstract

The event of speech act that happen between buyer and seller in the market have important role, is to deliver the intention of some parties. Buyer and seller have same language as a means to deliver the intention in order to get the deal. The purpose of research is to describe form speech act and kind of speech act are using by seller and buyer to communication in Tanah Abang market. The object of research is speech act. The sample of dialogues are taking from 10 dialogues. The collecting of data research is observation attentively. The data are getting from note and record. Baside that, we areusing kind of speech act analysis of data. The result of  research can be eplain, such as: 1) Tanah Abang are representative, directive, expressive, commissive, and declarative speech act, 2) Most of seller are using directive speech act in communication to persuade and influence the buyer at Tanah Abang market

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to scientifically show a correlation between vocabulary mastery and speaking skill. The research, using a survey method, is performed in three classes of first semester students at Universitas Indraprasta PGRI, with 40 respondents taken from students of two different classes. The data of the research are obtained through written tests, then processed using SPSS 2.0 program and analyzed applying regression and correlation analyses. The result of the research shows a significant effect of vocabulary mastery on speaking skill as seen by the value of sig=0,000 (sig<0,05) and tobserved = 3,694 (tobserved is more than ttable= 1,69). Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that vocabulary mastery has an effect on or a correlation with student’s speaking skill.
