Abstract

This study is intended to know whether there is a direct effect of numerical intelligence on student’s learning achievement, a direct effect of learning motivation on student’s mathematics learning achievement, a direct effect of numerical intelligence on learning motivation, and an indirect effect of numerical intelligence on student’ learning achievement through learning motivation. The research uses a survey method, with 100 randomly taken samples of people stratified by the comparison of the number of students in each Private Vocational School (SMK) in East Jakarta. The data analysis consists of descriptive analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient, determination correlation and path coefficient. The statistical test used is F test with the help of SPSS 20. The result of the research show: there is a direct effect of numerical intelligence on mathematics learning achievement , as shown by path coefficient value of -0,372; there is a direct effect of numerical intelligence on learning motivation, as seen by path coefficient value of 0,975; here is a direct effect of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement with path coefficient value of 0,520; there is an indirect effect of numerical intelligence on mathematics learning achievement through learning motivation, as proved by path coefficient value of 0,507.

Abstract

In addition to providing convenience in all fields, the internet also has a negative impact. Internet Addiction Disorder refers to the pattern of excessive internet usage and disrupts the lives of internet users themselves. This research was shown to determine the level of Internet Addiction Disorder in Jakarta 42 Senior High School students along with their characteristics and factors that influence the level of the Internet Addiction Disorder. The analysis used was descriptive analysis and multinomial logistic regression analysis. The results of this research indicate that the majority of Jakarta State High School 42 students suffer from Internet Addiction Disorder at the Moderate level. There are factors that influence the level of Internet Addiction Disorder, namely the motive for using the internet, the length of time being a user, the quality of relationships with friends, and the income of peers parents greatly influencing adolescent behavior including behavior in internet usage

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop an Illustrated Word Medium (MKB) in a bid to improve the quality of early reading and writing activities in the 1st grade. Further, the specific purpose of this research is to test and to develop the prototypes of Illustrated Word Medium. The procedures for the development of this Illustrated Word Medium model are established based on the development steps of Research and Development (R & D) model. The data of the research are generated by using two types of instrument, namely interview and observation guidelines. This research then creates an Illustrated Word Medium product which has the characteristics and specifications that can be seen from (1) form, (2) size,(3) style of writing, (4) picture, (5) type ofthe words used and (6) color of Illustrated Word Medium.

Abstract

The aim of this research is intended to examine the effect of cooperative learning model towards students’ mathematics anxiety. The research utilized a quasi experimental design. The population in this research was grade-8 students of a junior high school in South Jakarta. The sample comprised 32 students in cooperative group (as the experiment group) and 34 students in conventional group (as the control group). The instrument comprised Mathematics Anxiety Questionnaire (MAQ). The research problem was to examine the difference of mathematics anxiety between students in cooperative group and conventional one. The quantitative analysis used Mann-Whitney U test, while qualitative analysis used descriptive one. The result showed that students’ mathematics anxiety in cooperative group was lower than conventional one.

Abstract

This research aims to study the improvement of mathematical understanding ability of students studying with cabri II plus and students studying with traditional learning and to examine the learning motivation of students studying with cabri II plus. The research uses a quasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent control groups formed using purposive sampling technique. The research population is seventh grade students of Cibinong Junior High School with 30 students in the experimental and control classes. The instruments used are a pretest and posttest on students' mathematical comprehension ability and a questionnaire on learning motivation for the experimental class students. Data are analyzed using Mann-Whitney U test and t test. The results show that the increase in the of mathematical understanding ability of students studying with cabry II plus is no better than students studying with traditional learning. The learning motivation of students studying with Chili II plus software in general belongs to a medium motivation category

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsep diri siswa terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 102 Jakarta Timur. Sampel diambil dengan teknik sampel random sampling sebanyak 30 siswa. Data prestasi belajar matematika menggunakan tes formatif dan data konsep diri diperoleh menggunakan angket skala Likert. Metode penelitian menggunakan teknik korelasi regresi sederhana. Hasil uji hipotesis penelitian ditemukan nilai Fhitung > Ftabel (21,64 > 4,20). Terdapat pengaruh signifikan konsep diri terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Konsep diri yang dimiliki siswa baik maka prestasi belajar matematika akan baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze (1) the validity and (2) the effectiveness of a problem-based learning module of economics for class XI IPS in second semester. It is a research on the effect of the use of problem-based learning module of economics for class XI in second semester on the improvement of the students? reliable learning results in Economics. The population of this research is 165 students of Class XI of SMA Negeri 1, Bandar Sribhawono, Lampung Timur, in Academic Year 2014/2015. The research samples consisting of 60 students: 30 in control class and 30 in experimental class are taken using a purposive sampling technique. The problem-based learning module of economics for class XI in second semester is effective in improving students? learning results, as indicated by the average score of the learning result of the control class and the experimental class, namely: 78.57 and 83.47 respectively. This indicates that the learning result of the experimental class are more excellent than that of the class control. The significance value of 2-tailed t test is 0.003, which is less than 0.050, meaning that the proposed H1 is rejected. It shows that there is a difference in students? average learning results between the students of the control class and those of the experimental class. In conclusion, the improvement of the learning result of the experimental class is better than that of the control class.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know whether or not there are differences of learning outcomes of students of class X TKJ 1 and X TKJ 2 between those using a constructivism approach and those using an open-ended approach in learning mathematics in statistics chapter. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with population of students of SMK TERPADU HUTAMA and with samples of 68 people simply and randomly taken by using a self-developed instrument in the form of test about Mathematics Learning Outcomes. The research data for the experimental and controlled classes are collected by analyzing the test using t test, while the normality analysis requirement is analyzed by testing with chi-square test and homogeneity with F test. The result of the research shows that there is a significant difference between students’ learning outcomes through constructivism approach and through an open-ended approach to mathematics learning in SMK TERPADU HUTAMA. From the research results, it can be concluded that the constructivism approach is better than the open-ended approach in statistics learning because the former can encourage the development of individual’s skill in the classroom.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research (CAR) aimed at improving student activity and learning outcomes through the application of contextual approaches to Listening Children Story  Learning. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII. B SMP 10 Depok in the academic year 2017/2018, amounting to 35 people. The object of this research is the preparation of student learning, student activities in learning, and student learning outcomes in the learning model applied. The results of this study indicate that the application of contextual learning in listening to children's story learning can improve student learning activities and outcome.

Abstract

Perceptions held by students differ depending on what is being observed by students. In the modern era, it can utilize technology as a medium for learning and assessment. In line with the 4.0 revolution which almost all have used technology. With this research aims to see the relationship between students 'perceptions with students' basic science process skills in concave mirror material by utilizing technology in their learning. The method used in this study is a quantitative associative research method with a correlational research design. The research technique used was purposive sampling technique. The results of the data that have been analyzed produce that the basic science process skills of students towards the use of concave mirror material e-modules produce a percentage of 41.2% with a very good category and the students' perception of the use of concave mirror material e-modules is 61.8% with very good categories. Based on the significance value generated, it can be said that the relationship on students 'basic science process skills with the students' perception of the use of concave mirror material e-modules is very strong with the Pearson correlation of 0.958 and a significance of 0.000.
