Abstract

This study was motivated by problems found, that is the lack of variation in English learning models for deaf children. The research aimed to analyze and examine the explicit instruction learning model, whether the explicit instruction learning model can be applied to the learning of giftbox making skills for deaf students.  This type of research was library research by exploring a variety of library information (books, encyclopedias, scientific journals, newspapers, magazines, and documents) with the aim of obtaining information about the use of explicit instruction learning models.  The results of this analysis indicated that there was the influence of explicit instruction learning models in improving the learning process of students, one of them was skills learning.  It can be concluded that the use of explicit instruction learning models was effective and can improve the ability of deaf students to understand learning skills in making giftboxes.

Abstract

This study was conducted by the author at SLB Luak Nan Bungsu. This research discusses how the learning activities taught by food are not much innovation. Judging from the mistake, the author tries to teach making different types of cooking skills and different ways of teaching chicken soup. This study uses experimental research method in the form of Pre experiment design with type one group pretest-posttest. And processed and compared to using Wilcoxon Rank Test. The result of this study is an increase in students' proficiency in making chicken soup after being treated in the form of treatment with video tutorials proven through the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test, the average score obtained at the time of pretest 52.60 while the posttest score obtained the results of 90.20. Data processed using Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test obtained thitung value = 15. Seen in the test table, critical values at the level of error ( α ) 0.05 and n = 5 obtained Ttabel = 0 then Thitung = 15 > Ttabel = 0, therefore Ha received and Ho rejected. Thus it can be concluded that the video tutorial media is effective in making chicken soup.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki latar belakang masalah yang ditemukan peneliti di SLBN 2 Padang, terdapat anak tunarungu kelas X bahwa memiliki minat dan bakat dalam keterampilan membuat souvenir, tetapi saat proses pembelajaran anak cepat bosan, keluar kelas, sehingga tujuan pembelajaran belum tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan efektivitas model direct instruction dalam meninggkatkan ktrampilan membut souvenir pot bunga pda anak tunarunguu kelas X di SLBN 2 Padang. Penelitian ini memiliki metode penelitian eksperimen dengan bentuk pre-eksperimen yang menggunakan jenis one group pretest-postest design. Penelitian ini menggunakan tes perbuatan dengan melihat hasil dari kemampuan awal anak membuat souvenir pot bunga (pretest), setelah itu memberikan perlakuan menggunakan model direct instruction (treatmen), selanjutnya melihat pengaruh kemampuan anak setelah diberi perlakuan (posttest). Hasil data dilihat dari perbandingan antara pretest dan posttest dengan uji statistik Wilcoxon Rank Test. Dari hasil tersebut menghasilkan nilai probabilitas atau Asymp.sig (2-tailed) 0,043. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan nilai Asymp.sig (2-tailed) 0,043 kecil dibandingkan tafar signifikasi yang sudah ditentukan yaiitu 0.05(,043 < 0,05). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model direct instruction terbukti efektif digunakan dalam keterampilan membuat souvenir pot bunga pada anaak tunarunggu kelas x di SLBN 2 Padang dapat diterima. Disarankan untuk guru dalam mengajarkan keterampilan vokasional dapat mensajikan model direct instruction kepada anak tunarungu, karena memiliki pola bertahapyang mudah di pahami.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the discovery of deaf people in the community who had various brilliant achievements and won gold medals at the national level as a contingent for West Sumatra Province in one of the athletic sports, namely running. This study aims to determine what achievements (D) has with a qualitative descriptive study, by knowing the deaf and parents as research subjects. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation study then analyzed to be presented and conclusions drawn. Achievements to the national level at the National Paralympic Week (PEPARNAS) XIV 2012 in Riau by winning a silver medal and the National Paralympic Week (PEPARNAS) XV 2016 in West Java by winning a gold medal. Paralympic Week is held once every four years in Indonesia and is participated by athletes from various provinces. He is active in participating in running competitions at the city, provincial, and national levels. Then (D) will take part in the National Paralympic Week XVI 2021 competition which will be held in Papua.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh ditemukannya anak down sindrom berbakat dan berprestasi di bidang renang tingkat nasional di yayasan kaya inspirasi mandiri, bakat yang dimiliki oleh anak tentunya banyak yang berperan dalam mengembnagkannya salah satunya orang tua. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana upaya orang tua dan pelatih renang dalam mengembangkan bakat anak, mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan apa saja kendala yang dihadapi oleh orang tua dan pelatih dalam mengembangkan bakat anak, serta mengatasi kendala-kendala yang dihadapinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, berupa piagam penghargaan atas prestasi yang sudah pernah diraih oleh anak. Peneliti langsung melakukan wawnacara dengan orang tua laki-laki dan perempuann dan juga pelatih renang. Penelitian dilapangan menunjukkan bahwa orang tua sangat berupaya aktif dalam mengembangkan semua bakat anak, mulai dari bakat yang belum diketahui sampai orang tua mengetahui bakat anak.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of health education at SLB Al-Azhar Bukittinggi for mild mentally retarded students. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation studies. In this study, the subjects were UKS guidance teachers, PJOK teachers, school principals and students. The results showed that the implementation of health education activities at SLB Al-Azhar Bukittinggi was programmed well and went well. However, during the pandemic corona virus disease (covid-19) the implementation did not work because at that time students were learning from home. In carrying out the school health education program, it collaborates with the puskesmas. The puskesmas provides health education education for schools through teachers and students. With the existence of school health education becomes cleaner and students through teachers know about health and can apply it. Although there are obstacles experienced in its implementation, schools can overcome them.

Abstract

This study discusses the improvement of children's laundry skills tunagrahita able to train. Unskilled children washing clothes. The objective of the study was to prove that multi-methods effectively improve the washing skills of children's tunagrahita are able to train. The research used experimental type of single subject research (SSR) design A-B-A.Baseline (A) research results before treatment were given for 5 meetings with mean of 27%, direction tendency and change of horizontal data. The intervention condition (B) of multi-method treatment during 8 times meeting with mean 70.5%, direction tendency and data changes increase. The baseline condition (A2) is no longer treated for 5 meetings with mean 89.2%, direction tendency and data changes increase. Overlape data has a low percentage. Abstract

This study discusses the case stage that the author found in the State Vocational High School 4, Padang City, where there are parents who have autistic children. To describe the role of parents in handling the behavior of children with autism X, how parents handle hyperactive behavior of children with autism, tantrum behavior and throwing things, then the obstacles faced by parents in handling autistic child behavior and how parents deal with obstacles to handling children's behavior autism. This research uses a case study method which is included in a qualitative approach, the subjects of this study are parents, school teachers and therapists, so that all data can be collected by researchers using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the way parents handle hyperactive behavior is by always asking questions to therapy, finding out in books and articles about how to assist children with autism, and fostering good relationships with X and other family members, adjusting their life patterns from meal times, hours of sleep and hours of rest. Then the parent always controls the food because he can't eat chocolate. the efforts that have been described above as well as the obstacles and efforts in overcoming the obstacles faced. This can be seen through observations, interviews and documentation studies that the authors have described in the previous chapter

Abstract

This research was motivated by two students who lacked motivation of students to develop student skills, where the teacher had not used good teaching methods in teaching skills to use tools and materials in make-up. This research is a classroom action research conducted collaboratively. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings (including one meeting for the final test). The subjects of this teacher's research were 2 grade students of class VIII. The research instruments used in this study were student activity observation sheets, student practice tests and tutor observation sheets and teacher activities. The results showed the application of the peer tutor method to makeup skills, namely (a) the planning stage was carried out by the researcher by preparing lesson plans and instruments. (b) the implementation stage is carried out by teachers and tutors. (c) the observation stage carried out by the researcher and the observed observer is two aspects, namely the process and the results of learning skills. During the learning process, there was an increase in the quality of make-up skills shown by student activities where there was an increase in student activity from cycle I to cycle II. In the student practice test there was an increase from cycle I to cycle II. Then in teacher activity there was also an increase from cycle I to cycle II. (d) Reflection on the first cycle of the application of the peer tutor method can improve learning outcomes for makeup skills. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the Peer Tutor method can improve the results of makeup skills in class VIII SLB Kemala Bhayangkari Lintau Buo Utara, Tanah Datar.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the discovery of a problem at SDN 15 Pulai Anak Air regarding learning Indonesian for grade IV dyslexic children during the Covid-19 pandemic. This situation makes the learning change to distance learning. So the researchers are interested in knowing more about how to learn Indonesian for fourth grade dyslexic students at SDN 15 Pulai Anak Air during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were homeroom teachers, dyslexic students and school principals. Collecting data using interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that learning Indonesian for dyslexic children during the Covid-19 pandemic was carried out online and offline. The process of learning Indonesian for dyslexic children includes 1) learning planning including assessment, syllabus and RPP; 2) the implementation of learning includes preliminary activities, core activities, closing and assessment/evaluation. Learning constraints during the Covid-19 pandemic are in compiling a syllabus and developing online learning materials for dyslexic children.
