Abstract

Bullying is a social problem that still frequently occurs in elementary schools and has the potential to negatively impact the psychological, emotional and social development of students. Students’ lack of understanding of the forms and impacts of bullying behavior often leads to bullying being considered part of normal interactions between friends. This community service activity aims to provide education about the dangers of bullying, instill empathy and mutual respect among students and increase student awareness so that they can protect their friends and not engage in bullying. The activity was carried out at SDN Kampung Baru, Serang Regency Banten, involving 71 elementary school students through a Participatory Action Research approach. The implementation method was carried out through an educational seminar "Be a Buddy Not a Bully" which included material delivery, educational video screenings, interactive discussions, simulations, questions and answers, ice breakers, and educational games. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, structured interviews and pretests and posttests.

Abstract

Kegiatan “1001 Pohon untuk Kalitengah” merupakan inisiatif mahasiswa KKN UIN Walisongo yang bertujuan untuk mendukung pelestarian lingkungan melalui aksi tanam pohon berbasis partisipasi komunitas di Desa Kalitengah, Kecamatan Mranggen, Kabupaten Demak. Program ini dilatarbelakangi oleh semakin berkurangnya ruang hijau di pedesaan akibat tekanan pembangunan dan minimnya kesadaran ekologis. Melalui pendekatan kolaboratif, mahasiswa bersama warga desa, aparat keamanan, dan tokoh masyarakat menanam berbagai jenis pohon seperti salam, jambu biji, trembesi, dan tabebuya di area strategis seperti pematang sawah dan saluran irigasi. Selain berdampak ekologis dalam mengurangi erosi dan meningkatkan kualitas udara, kegiatan ini juga memperkuat nilai sosial seperti gotong royong dan kepedulian lingkungan lintas generasi. Dokumentasi dan evaluasi dilakukan secara sistematis untuk mendukung keberlanjutan program. Gerakan ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa KKN dapat menjadi agen perubahan dalam mendorong konservasi lingkungan yang partisipatif dan kontekstual di tingkat desa.

Abstract

Mental health and emotional regulation skills are important aspects in supporting the psychological development of adolescents, especially high school students. A lack of understanding of how to manage emotions and maintain mental health often has an impact on declining learning concentration and the quality of students' social interactions. This community service activity was carried out by the Real Work Lecture (KKN) team through the mental health socialization and emotional regulation work program at SMAN 2 Negeri Siak. The purpose of this activity is to increase students' knowledge and awareness of the importance of maintaining mental health and provide practical strategies in managing emotions positively. The method used in socialization includes lectures followed by discussion sessions, questions and answers, and pretest postest to students. The results of the implementation of the activity showed high enthusiasm from the participants, which was marked by active involvement in the question and answer session and increased students' understanding of the material presented. Thus, this socialization activity is expected to make a real contribution to forming a healthier mindset and more adaptive emotional regulation skills among adolescents.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan siswa dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital sebagai sarana pembelajaran interaktif. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya minat serta keterampilan siswa dalam menggunakan media digital untuk menunjang kegiatan belajar. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan meliputi observasi awal, wawancara, pemberian angket sederhana, serta pelatihan langsung melalui praktik penggunaan aplikasi pembelajaran digital. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan antusiasme siswa terhadap penggunaan media digital dalam proses belajar, ditandai dengan respon positif dan peningkatan partisipasi selama kegiatan berlangsung. Kegiatan ini juga menumbuhkan kesadaran pentingnya literasi digital di kalangan siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media digital dalam kegiatan pembelajaran mampu memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan motivasi dan efektivitas belajar siswa.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out to improve students’ disciplinary character through the implementation of role-model-based learning strategies at SDN 24 Bengkulu City. Initial observations indicated low levels of discipline in students’ daily activities, such as lack of orderliness during classroom learning, untidy behavior during meal sessions, inconsistency during scout marching activities, and limited discipline during flag ceremonies. To address these issues, the program involved direct observation, teacher counseling, training sessions, and mentoring that emphasized consistent role modeling across various school activities. Data were collected using naturalistic observation and photographic documentation throughout the program. The results showed noticeable improvements in students’ discipline, reflected in better learning readiness, more orderly conduct during meal times, increased accuracy in following marching commands, and improved respectful behavior during ceremonies. These changes emerged gradually as teachers demonstrated consistent exemplary behavior. The program concludes that role-model-based learning strategies are effective for fostering discipline in elementary school students and can be sustainably implemented.

Abstract

Student learning activeness is one of the key indicators of successful classroom learning. This study aims to describe the role of teaching assistance in improving student learning activeness at SMP Negeri 21 Kota Bengkulu. The teaching assistance program was conducted over eight sessions, involving university students as teaching assistants to support teachers during the learning process. The methods applied included group discussions, presentations, question-and-answer sessions, and reflective activities with teachers. Observations were conducted to assess students’ activeness in asking questions, participating in discussions, collaborating in groups, and presenting their work. The results show that students’ learning activeness increased significantly, interactions between students became more dynamic, confidence and communication skills improved, and the overall quality of learning was enhanced through teacher–teaching assistant collaboration. Reflection sessions also helped teachers and teaching assistants design follow-up activities to optimize future learning sessions. Therefore, teaching assistance is proven to be an effective strategy for increasing student participation, motivation, and communication skills in active learning.

Abstract

UMKM memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia, namun masih menghadapi tantangan dalam aspek branding dan inovasi produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji penerapan penguatan branding dan pengembangan inovasi produk untuk meningkatkan daya saing UMKM Jamur Tiram Raflesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwasebelum pendampingan, UMKM belum memiliki identitas visual yang kuat dan masih mengandalkan pemasaran konvensional. Upaya penguatan dilakukan melalui pembuatan logo, perbaikan kemasan, penambahan label produk, serta pemanfaatan media sosial dan platform digital sebagai sarana promosi. Implementasi program memberikan dampak positif berupa peningkatan daya tarik produk, perluasan jangkauan pasar, dan peningkatan interaksi dengan konsumen. Meskipun demikian, konsistensi pengelolaan konten digital masih menjadi tantangan sehingga diperlukan pendampingan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This initiative was prompted by the low level of teachers’ proficiency in utilizing digital technology to develop innovative interactive learning materials. Articulate Storyline 3 is an e-learning development software that enables the creation of multimedia-based learning content; however, its use among teachers remains very limited due to a lack of adequate training and guidance. The objective of this activity is to provide guidance to groups of teachers in designing and developing interactive learning media using Articulate Storyline 3, so that teachers are able to create learning experiences that are more engaging, effective, and aligned with students’ needs in the digital age. The mentoring activity was carried out through a series of stages, including orientation, hands-on training, and guidance during the learning media creation process. The methods used included varied lectures, question-and-answer sessions, interactive discussions, demonstrations, simulations, and questionnaire completion. The results of the activity showed an increase in teachers’ knowledge, understanding, and skills regarding the use of Articulate Storyline 3, as reflected in the group’s ability to produce Articulate Storyline 3 educational media products, such as dynamic presentation slides, score-based quizzes, and branching learning scenarios. This activity is expected to encourage the transformation of teachers’ teaching practices toward more innovative learning. This initiative is expected to encourage teachers to transform their teaching practices toward more innovative learning methods, as well as serve as a mentoring model that can be replicated within the broader teaching community.

Abstract

The Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah Community Service Program (KKN MAs) Group 9 in Suak Lanjut Village, Siak Regency, focused on utilizing the local potential of rasau fish (Hampala macrolepidota), which has long been overlooked by the community due to its fine bones and bland taste. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the program was implemented through several stages: problem identification, community education, and demonstrations on processing rasau fish into an innovative snack called Pletek. The program involved women from the PKK (Family Welfare Movement) as the primary participants through outreach sessions, hands-on training, and the distribution of recipe booklets. The results of the activity demonstrated high levels of community enthusiasm and participation, reflected in interactive discussions and the participants’ desire to develop Pletek as a product with economic value. Tangible outputs—including the processed Pletek product and the recipe booklet—serve as tools for ongoing learning. This program has proven effective in enhancing the community’s knowledge, skills, and collective awareness regarding the use of rasau fish as a local food source, while also opening opportunities for the development of MSME-based businesses.

Abstract

Articulation barriers in students with physical disabilities in inclusive classrooms represent a significant challenge affecting communication and learning processes. This study aims to identify and describe strategies used by teachers in overcoming articulation barriers in physically disabled students in inclusive classes, particularly regarding communication methods, pause provision (wait time), and instructional techniques that minimize psychological pressure when students speak. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth observation, interviews, and questionnaires administered to teachers, physically disabled students, and parents at four inclusive elementary schools in Medan City. The results indicate that the most effective teacher strategies include the use of multimodal communication, provision of adequate wait time, application of step-by-step instruction, and the creation of a safe and pressure-free classroom environment. It is concluded that inclusive communication strategies significantly increase the confidence of physically disabled students in speaking and actively participating in class.
