Abstract

The post-covid-19 era is a momentum for all types of business models to immediately reach their highest performance after dropping drastically due to the economic recession. The manufacturing industry is one type of business model that is under enormous pressure during Covid-19 and is required to immediately return to normal. Small and medium industries as a class of manufacturing industry are unique in their ability to recover quickly, apart from the fact that their industrial model is quite small, many of these small and medium industries also form industrial clusters. In the current era of knowledge-based economy, one theory provides an illustration that if a business organization wants to quickly achieve business performance, it needs to master the necessary knowledge. This concept is called absorptive capacity which explains how a business organization acquires knowledge and implements it to gain competitive advantage. This research tries to present a factor analysis on the theoretical concept of absorptive capacity (with the dimensions of acquisition, assimilation, transformation, and exploitation) in a small and medium industrial cluster. There were 127 respondents from the small and medium Logam industrial cluster in Ngingas Village, Waru Distric, Sidoarjo - Indonesia. This research reveals that in the small and medium Logam industrial cluster in Ngingas Waru Sidoarjo - Indonesia, the acquisition factor is the dominant factor in the process of mastering knowledge that comes from outside the organization and the assimilation factor is the least dominant factor in the process of mastering knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of ease and security of QRIS on the efficiency of digital payments with trust as a mediator. The theories used to support this study are the Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) Theory and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) Theory. This study focuses on Denpasar City residents belonging to Gen X and Gen Y who use QRIS in transactions. The research method used in this study is a quantitative approach. The population in this study is all Denpasar City residents belonging to Gen X and Gen Y, whose number is not known for certain, so the sample is calculated using the Lameshow formula with the number of samples obtained being 96 respondents. This study has 7 hypotheses, which will be tested using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach based on Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the results of data analysis, the results of ease of QRIS have a positive and significant effect on the efficiency of digital payments. QRIS security has a positive and insignificant effect on the efficiency of digital payments. Ease of QRIS has a positive and significant effect on trust. QRIS security has a positive and significant effect on trust. Trust has a positive and significant effect on the efficiency of digital payments. Trust mediates the effect of QRIS convenience on digital payment efficiency (partial mediation). Trust mediates the effect of QRIS security on digital payment efficiency (full mediation).

Abstract

This research is aimed to perform an investigation regarding the capability of financial literacy, including overconfidence bias and self-control proceed a significant influence on shaping Gen Z and Millennials’ decision to invest. Furthermore, the research also examines how risk tolerance mediating role in the relationship between independent-dependent variables. By employing quantitative approach, utilizing PLS-SEM modelling, the research gained data which is derived from 168 active investors in the capital market of Indonesia. The findings shown the significant influence of financial literacy, self-control, and overconfidence in shaping risk tolerance, which also turns out as a bridge towards the decision of individuals to invest. In this context, financial literacy highly encourages higher overconfidence distorts the perception of risk, well-examined risk taking, and self-control which able to foster such impulsive actions, which further shape the decisions of investment choices. The findings also offers such major insights regarding young investors’ behaviour in the capital market and underlines the requirement to utilize an effective and well-targeted financial education and training of behavioural finance. Those results might be applicable for further literatures looking forward in the development of these theoretical models for further financial professionals, purposed in showing more support to client in investigating the emerging landscape of investment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze sales forecasting at PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. using the Semi Average and Least Square methods in order to identify historical sales patterns and measure prediction accuracy for the upcoming period. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach with the population consisting of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk.’s financial statements for the period 2020–2024, while the sample is the net sales data taken from the company’s annual income statements. The analysis was carried out using the Semi Average and Least Square methods, with accuracy evaluated through Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The results indicate that the Semi Average method produced an MSE value of 48,080,998,381.43 and a MAPE of 213.26%, while the Least Square method yielded an MSE of 6,971,891,696.24 and a MAPE of 66.67%. These findings suggest that the Least Square method provides a more representative forecasting model compared to the Semi Average method, although the overall forecasting accuracy remains relatively low. This research highlights the necessity of applying more advanced and adaptive forecasting models in the future to support more effective managerial decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in stock prices and abnormal returns before and after stock splits in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2022-2024. The data utilized in this study is secondary data. The population in this study were 37 companies. The method of analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of this study show that there is no fluctuation between stock prices before and after stock splits in both the 5-day and 3-day observation periods. But there is a change in the value of the abnormal return before and after the stock split both in the 5-day and 3-day observation periods in companies listed on the IDX for the 2022-2024 period.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of online reviews on the demand for food products through the GoFood service in Mojokerto Regency. The online reviews examined include star ratings and consumer comment reviews. The research employed a quantitative approach with a survey of 384 GoFood users in Sooko District. A probability random sampling technique was used in the sampling process, and the data were collected through a questionnaire based on indicators of online reviews and product demand. Simple linear regression was applied in the data analysis process. The results indicate that online reviews have a positive and significant effect on the demand for food products. These findings reinforce that online star ratings and comment reviews greatly influence consumer purchasing decisions in the digital era.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the effect of purchase interest, price, and consumer perception on purchasing decisions at Kedai Belikopi Sidoarjo. The research method used was a quantitative approach with the help of Tolls SmartPLS version 3.29. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to Kedai Belikopi consumers, with a total of 96 respondents. From the test results, it can be seen that purchase interest has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, with a T-count > the T table value of 1.98 and 4.700, and a P-Value of 0.00 below 0.05. Price has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions with a T-Statistic value of 2.559 and a P-Value of 0.011. Consumer perception does not affect purchasing decisions with a T-statistic value of 0.059 and a P-value of 0.953.

Abstract

This research investigates the effect of corporate marketing performance on firm value and the moderating role of unrealized income in the influence of corporate marketing performance on firm value. Data are drawn from the financial statements of financial sector companies listed on the capital markets in five ASEAN member countries for the years 2020-2024, with a sample of 207 entities and observational data from 1,035 firm-years. Hypothesis testing uses moderated regression analysis. The results of the investigation indicate that corporate marketing performance has a positive effect on firm value, supporting classical marketing theory. Unrealized income strengthens the influence of corporate marketing performance on firm value, supporting signaling theory. The originality of this study lies in examining the moderating role of unrealized income in the influence of corporate marketing performance on firm value.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of marketing activities on non-controlling interests' rights over corporate profits and the moderating role of governance performance in the influence of marketing activities on non-controlling interests' rights over corporate profits. The firm-year data used is 1,249 from the financial statements of companies listed on stock exchanges in five Southeast Asian countries. Moderated regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis. The results demonstrate that marketing activities have a positive effect on non-controlling interests' rights over corporate profits, and governance performance strengthens the influence of marketing activities on non-controlling interests' rights over corporate profits. This study's theoretical contribution supports agency theory, which suggests that good governance mitigates agency problems between parent owners and non-controlling interests. This study's practical contribution is a recommendation for investors with potential non-controlling interests to consider the effectiveness of marketing performance in predicting investment returns, as reflected in attributable earnings. The originality of this study lies in examining the moderating role of governance performance in the influence of marketing activities on non-controlling interests' rights over corporate profits.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi manajemen risiko yang diterapkan oleh minimarket tradisional, khususnya warung Madura di Kecamatan Slawi, Kabupaten Tegal, dalam menghadapi persaingan dengan minimarket modern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan instrumen utama berupa kuesioner berbasis skala Likert 1–5. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 pemilik atau pengelola warung Madura di wilayah tersebut, dengan pengambilan sampel sebanyak 30 responden menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Alat analisis yang digunakan meliputi tabulasi data, analisis deskriptif frekuensi, serta interpretasi naratif secara manual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata keseluruhan persepsi responden terhadap pelaksanaan manajemen risiko berada pada kategori Tinggi (4.196). Strategi mitigasi yang paling dominan dan efektif adalah pengelolaan inventaris rutin untuk menghindari penumpukan barang (4.367) serta penguatan hubungan personal dengan pelanggan sebagai keunggulan kompetitif lokal (4.333). Selain itu, pelaku usaha mulai melakukan adaptasi digital melalui penyediaan layanan pembayaran non-tunai untuk meminimalisir risiko kehilangan pelanggan di era modernisasi.
