Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to explore the cognition aspects of strategic planning in rural entrepreneurship. The research is a case study in Patuk sub-district, Gunung Kidul district, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Patuk Sub-district has great potential. Rural entrepreneurs can develop it. Cognition aspects are determinants for rural entrepreneurs. This research is qualitative research using a case study. The method in this research uses in-depth interviews and FDG. The result of the research is that the cognition aspect is one of the determinants of success in determining the strategic planing. With sufficient knowledge, rural entrepreneurs can develop the right strategic planning, so they can compete and survive. Unfortunately, their knowledge is limited. The cognitive aspect comes from the rural internal environment and the rural external environment The rural internal environment itself consists of rural communities where entrepreneurs are located.. The value adopted by rural communities has an impact on rural entrepreneurship. The external environment is a support system from outside the community. The rural entrepreneurs need a support system. For this reason, rural entrepreneurs need external encouragement. The external environment comes from the government and universities. The government provides support in the form of policies and programs that support rural entrepreneurs. Universities provide knowledge for business development

Abstract

Provision of People's Business Credit (KUR) to MSMEs facilitates business development. However, in providing KUR, banks must not ignore KUR distribution because banks are very careful in this regard to avoid unwanted things such as default or bad credit. Several factors must be considered by banks when offering KUR. This study aims to identify the determinants of KUR granting to MSMEs in the city of Malang. Respondents in this study were business entities or MSME owners in Malang City. This study uses the variables income, age of business, security, education, financial reports and cultural characteristics. The type of research used is mixed methods. Logistic regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis of this study. Based on the results of the study it is known that income has a positive and significant effect on the decision to grant KUR. Business age has a negative and significant effect on the decision to grant KUR. insurance and education do not affect the decision to grant KUR. Financial statements have a positive and significant effect on the decision to grant KUR. Cultural characteristics have a positive and significant effect on the decision to grant KUR.

Abstract

This research is conducted to analyze the map positioning product attributes of Lestari restaurant and the competitors in Jember Regency. The basis used to determine the position of the restaurants is consumers’ perceptions regarding to the similarity of determinant attributes consisting of price, convenience, human resources services, taste quality, menu variants, location of each restaurant. The analysis technique is Multidimensional Scaling (MDS). This research was conducted by taking respondents as many as 60 respondents with purposive sampling method. The results of the restaurant positioning map (Lestari, Terapung, Legian, Wong Solo, Bu Lanny) are based on consumer perceptions and the similarity of respondents' attitudes in giving the assessment. Based on the analysis, there are differences in the position of each restaurant based on consumer perceptions and it shows that Lestari restaurant is direct competitor from Terapung restaurants, Wong Solo and Bu Lanny which do not have a strong or clear positioning, because they do not have many similarities and differences with other restaurants in the minds of consumers. Lestari and Legian restaurants are direct competitors because they have clear and unique differentiation. Therefore, Lestari restaurant in Jember Regency has a strong competitiveness in the market that comes from product attributes, namely the quality of taste and menu variants. The results of the consistency and similarity tests of respondents' attitudes also showed that the respondents did not have the same attitude in assessing the similarity of restaurants in Jember Regency.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of factors related to the stock return, such as liquidity, company size, risk, and beta of companies listed on ASEAN Exchanges for 2011-2019. This study uses a quantitative approach by using multiple linear regression method. The dependent variable is stock return, while the independent variables used are liquidity, company size, risk, and beta. This research uses 14,580 observations of 1,620 wide-spread companies across Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Philippine in nine years. The study finds that illiquidity, risk, and size positively influence stock return significantly, while beta has an insignificant positive effect on stock return. This study also finds that there are country-effect towards stock return in each country.

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises in Indonesia are currently facing stiff competition because more and more competitors are emerging. To win the competition, local companies must pay attention to the strategies adopted so as to produce innovations that can be a strength for the organization itself. Factors that influence the creation of innovation it self include knowledge management and network capability. The purpose of this study is to investigate how knowledge management and network capability affect the creation of innovation. This research uses descriptive research. Data was collected through a survey by distributing questionnaires to 200 respondents and returning 170 respondents. The results of the study indicate that there is a positive influence between knowledge management on network capability and the creation of innovation, besides that network capability has a significant effect on the creation of innovation.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze factors of stock liquidity, size, profitability, growth, leverage, and cash which affect cash dividend. Independent variable such as stock liquidity, size, profitability, growth, leverage, and cash which affect cash dividend. This research use quantitative approach by using multiple linier regression. The sample of this research is the non-financial company that listed in IDX (Indonesia Stock Exchange) for period of 2012 to 2016. Final samples which are used in this research were 78 business entities with 390 observations. Based on this research, the result show that stock liquidity, and growth give positive effect to cash dividend. size, profitability, leverage, and cash give negative effect to cash dividend.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the business performance can be achieved through Resource Based View Strategy by applying flexibility, supply chain integration, organization capability to market orientation in culinary sector business in Medan. Data collection using questionnaires (Google Form) for each variable, on 88 MSMEs culinary sector in Medan city with the characteristics of small to medium businesses and already applying supply chain integration. The data is analyzed using multiple linear and moderated regression analysis (MRA) techniques. The results showed that flexibility had no positive effect on business performance. However, supply chain integration and organization capability had a positive effect on business performance. Flexibility and supply chain integration positively affect business performance moderated by market orientation. At the same time, organization capability does not positively affect business performance moderated by market orientation.

Abstract

Spirituality in the workplace include feeling connected to the community, the meaningfulness of the work, the ability to express their feelings and ability to work independently, have the power of doing work believed to be correct. This study seeks to analyze spirituality in the workplace and individual spirituality on the behavior of employees working at universities in Indonesia.The samples of the study are employees who work at universities in Surakarta with a sample of 132 employees. Data is analyzed using multiple regressions. The result of regression analysis showed that the concept of spirituality in the workplace include feelings of community teams, inner life and meaningful work affect on work behavior (job satisfaction, organizational commitment and job involvement). The results of this study indicate that there is no significant effect between the communities at work on job satisfaction. While the inner variable life, Meaningful in work and Individual Spirituality significantly influences job satisfaction. There was no significant effect between community at work and meaning at work on job involvement. While the inner variable life and Individual Spirituality significantly influences job involvement. There was no significant effect between the meanings at work to organization commitment. While the inner life variable, community at work and individual spirituality significantly influence organization commitment. Employees feel that life is full of hope in the future, and spiritual values also includes in making life choices. Employees at the college considers that his work has a deeper meaning than other jobs because they relate to the services to education and a strong desire to express spiritual practices in working life.Spiritualitas di tempat kerja termasuk merasa diterima oleh komunitas, kebermaknaan pekerjaan, kemampuan untuk mengekspresikan perasaan dan kemampuan untuk bekerja secara mandiri, serta memiliki kekuatan untuk melakukan pekerjaan yang diyakini benar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis spiritualitas di tempat kerja dan spiritualitas individu pada perilaku karyawan yang bekerja di berbagai universitas di Indonesia . Sampel penelitian ini adalah karyawan yang bekerja di universitas di Surakarta dengan sampel sebanyak 132 karyawan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi berganda. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa konsep spiritualitas di tempat kerja meliputi perasaan diterima oleh komunitas, kehidupan batin dan pekerjaan yang berarti mempengaruhi perilaku kerja (kepuasan kerja, komitmen organisasi, dan keterlibatan kerja). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara komunitas di tempat kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja. Sementara variabel kehidupan batin, merasa berarti dalam pekerjaan dan spiritualitas individu berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara komunitas di tempat kerja dan makna bekerja pada keterlibatan kerja. Sementara variabel kehidupan batin dan Individu spiritualitas berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keterlibatan kerja. Tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara makna bekerja untuk komitmen organisasi. Sedangkan variabel kehidupan batin, komunitas di tempat kerja dan spiritualitas individu berpengaruh signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi. Para karyawan merasa bahwa hidup penuh harapan di masa depan, dan nilai-nilai spiritual termasuk di dalamnya adalah membuat pilihan hidup. Karyawan di perguruan tinggi menganggap bahwa karya memiliki arti yang lebih mendalam daripada pekerjaan lain karena pekerjaan yang berhubungan dengan layanan pendidikan dan keinginan yang kuat untuk mengekspresikan praktik spiritual dalam kehidupan kerja.

Abstract

The local enterprise aims to ensure long-term business continuity while enhancing brand awareness of regional businesses. Businesses use social media to boost customer engagement and local enterprise items that are ecologically friendly. This study intends to examine how local businesses' Instagram accounts for Local Sustainable Fashion Brands (LSFB) are used by their customers. This qualitative study examines brand engagement tactics used by LSFB and Instagram posts made by its followers. Content analysis is used in the analytical approach. In this study, the LFSB setting demonstrates how small business operators in the fashion industry have grown their enterprises. Social media usage to foster customer involvement is examined because it may assess the target market's brand recognition among a deluge of imported goods or worldwide brands.

Abstract

This study investigates the critical determinants influencing the longevity of family businesses, particularly within the context of Money Changers in East Java, Indonesia. The research is grounded in the premise that sustained business success across generations depends on effective succession planning, successor preparation, family commitment, and the involvement of the controlling generation. Using a quantitative approach, the research employs PLS - SEM to analyze the relationships between variables. Data collected from 86 licensed Money Changers in East Java. Findings indicate that succession planning and family commitment significantly influence the involvement of the previous generation in transitioning leadership roles. The research underscores the pivotal role of the controlling generation in ensuring the continuity and stability of family businesses. Recommendations include detailed plans for identifying and preparing successors, enhancing family commitment, and increasing the involvement of the previous generation in decision-making processes. Strengthening these aspects is crucial for ensuring the resilience and long-term viability of family businesses, particularly in the Money Changers sector. Future research should expand its scope to encompass diverse regions and consider customer perspectives to shape robust strategies for sustained family business growth.
