Abstract

The problem of child nutritional status is still a health problem in the world as well as in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the relationship between factors related to the nutritional status of elementary school-aged children in grades 4-6 at SDS Anak Bangsa Cerdas Pasuruan. This research is a quantitative research by cross-sectional design which was conducted on 68 pairs of mothers and students in grades 4-6 at SDS Anak Bangsa Cerdas Pasuruan. The results of this study showed that most of the child respondents had moderate levels of physical activity, adequate energy intake, normal nutritional status, and only 41% of mother respondents had the right perception of their child's nutritional status. From the results of the relationship test, it was found that there was a relationship between the level of physical activity (p= 0,002), mother's perception of child's nutritional status (p=0,018), energy intake (p= 0,011) with the nutritional status of children in grades 4-6 SDS Anak Bangsa Cerdas Pasuruan. Researchers suggest for further research to add other independent variables that can relate to the nutritional status of elementary school children.

Abstract

Stunting is a growth and development disorder in children due to critical malnutrition. Adolescence is a transition from childhood to adulthood which in its growth requires greater nutrition compared to other ages, especially iron. Adolescent health will determine the success of development in presenting a quality generation of the nation in the future. Adolescent girls are prospective mothers who will become pregnant and give birth, so efforts are made to obtain sufficient iron by administering Blood Supplement Tablets (TTD). This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological study design. This study displays a picture of a person's life experience when each individual subjectively feels the experience of a situation. The main informants were the nutrition manager at the health center, the teacher in charge of the UKS, and young female students who consumed iron supplement tablets. Triangulation informants are the Head of the Public Health Sector, the Nutrition Manager for the Health Service, the Promotion Manager for the Public Health Service, and the Head of the Health Center. The sample was determined using the Side Purposive technique, totaling 13 people. Competent human resources to facilitate and speed up the smooth running of the program. Facilities and infrastructure are in good condition and able to support program implementation. Planning, Actuating, and controlling went very well and clearly. The program coverage showed a decrease in the prevalence of stunting from the previous year of 26.92%. The program by giving Fe tablets to young women at schools in Toba Regency has succeeded in reducing the number of stunting cases.

Abstract

Data reported by WHO (Word Health Organization) in 2020 shows that the death rate from cardiovascular disease, especially in developing countries, is increasing every year. Cardiac catheterization is an action that has the highest level of accuracy (96% - 99%) for detecting abnormalities in the heart, especially coronary heart disease. Patients who have heart disease often experience chest pain. Spiritual therapy in the form of dhikr is a non-pharmacological therapy that is thought to reduce pain. Quasi-experimental research design using a pre-test and post-test design without any control measures accompanied by an observation sheet which contains a pain level measurement scale (VAS) used in this research. Quota sampling was used in the research by selecting 20 post-cardiac catheterization patients as research respondents. The results of testing the effect of this research used a sample paired T test where the average pre-test difference was 1,250. This showed that there were differences in results before (pre-test) and (post-test). The p-value obtained was .001, which means that there was a significant effect after giving dhikr therapy on reducing pain intensity. It is hoped that this dhikr therapy technique can be used as a nursing intervention so that it can reduce the pain felt by patients.

Abstract

The problem of nurse performance is still an issue in various countries. The performance of nurses always attracts attention in Indonesia. The Province of North Sumatra even stated that the performance of nurses decreased, from 0.52 in 2013 to 0.48 in 2014, and continued to decline until 2015. Good nurse performance is a determining factor for the reputation of a hospital before the community in achieving success. Supervision by the head of the nurse's work unit is a problem related to the nurse's performance appraisal process. This study uses a quantitative approach, observational, with a cross-sectional design. The research sample consisted of 64 nurses in the Inpatient Installation of Aek Kanopan Hospital who were selected according to the criteria. The research data obtained were analyzed using univariate analysis which aims to describe the frequency distribution related to supervision data, Nurse Work Performance, and Patient Safety Implementation. Bivariate analysis which aims to prove the relationship between supervision and nurse performance on the implementation of patient safety uses Pearson's correlation with a 95% confidence level. There is a relationship between clinical supervision on the overall performance of nurses with a Pearson Chi-Square value = 5.146 and a p = 0.023 (p <0.05). In addition, there is also a relationship between the overall performance of inpatient nurses on the implementation of inpatient safety, with a Pearson Chi-Square value of 12.292 and a value of p = 0.000* (p <0.05). The better the performance of the nurse in the inpatient room, the implementation of inpatient patient safety will also be better.

Abstract

The prevalence of postpartum family planning services in low and middle-income countries is 8% in the first month, 25% at 6 months, and 30% in the first 12 months. Even so, the state continues to be motivated to expand family planning services (family planning) through family planning commodities, training for family planning health workers, and integration of family planning services. However, currently, the number of family planning services has not been served properly. This study applies a quantitative approach, observational, and cross-sectional design. Through this approach, it is possible to measure the influence of the competence and work motivation variables at the PLKB in supporting the achievement of the Postpartum Family Planning program. The sample for this study were all PLKB/PKB officers at the North Labuhanbatu Regency PPKB Office with a total of 41 people who were determined using a total sampling technique and using a questionnaire instrument in measuring. A total of 41 respondents who were tested based on age, gender, education, length of work, and employment status showed that there was a significant influence between the competence of PLKB/PKB officers and the achievement of postpartum family planning programs, with a Pearson Chi-Square value of 11.896 and a p-value = 0.001 ( p<0.05). If viewed based on motivation, then between work motivation aspects of personal and altruistic goals, work motivation aspects of pride and self-satisfaction, work motivation aspects of self-recognition and support, and work motivation as a whole with the achievement of postpartum family planning programs with each value of Pearson Chi-Square of (11.896; 6.600; 4.490; 9.899) and each value of p = 0.001; 0.010; 0.034; 0.002 (p<0.05).

Abstract

Performance problems have become a serious problem for any agency at this time, and good performance certainly guarantees good service quality. Therefore, providing training and career development to employees is very important to carry out organizational goals effectively and efficiently. Based on preliminary research at the Perbaungan Plus Health Center, it showed that midwives' career development obstacles were: Inadequate administrative support, poor performance by midwives, and lack of guidance in career development. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to the career development of midwives at the Perbaungan Plus Health Center, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The research design used in this research is an analytical survey using a cross-sectional study. The research population consisted entirely of midwives and numbered 43 people using a total-sampling technique with 43 people. Data collection methods include primary data, secondary and tertiary. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square statistical test. The results showed that employee personality p(0.001), external factors p(0.001), compensation structure p(0.004), and organizational politics p(0.024) are related to the midwife's career development. The relationship between employees and organizations does not depend on the development of the midwifery profession p(0.431). The results of the study concluded that employee personality, external factors, and internal compensation systems and policies are related to midwifery professional development, while employee relations with organizations are related to midwifery professional development, meaning not. It is hoped that the Puskesmas can develop policies that focus on midwives in all aspects, including training in good organizational management and professional responsibility, improving employee welfare and creating a comfortable work environment.
