Abstract

The focus is how the role of cytokines in atherosclerosis as a chronic inflammatory disease, as it is known that cytokines regulate complex inflammatory responses in atherosclerotic plaques, especially IL-1β. Sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata) is a plant with various pharmacological activities. Andrographolide (AND) is the main bioactive compound in the diterpene lactone group. This literature study aims to assess the potential of AND on the proinflammatory cytokine IL-1 β as an antiatherosclerosis. This type of research is a qualitative review of various studies using sambiloto plants or andrographolide compounds (AND). Search literature using the Google Scholar database. Keywords used "Andrographis paniculata, andrographolide, IL-1β, Atherosclerosis. The results showed that AND has effects as an anti-inflammatory, antiatherosclerosis as well as cardiovascular-related diseases. There are not many articles on the activity of AND in IL-1β against atherosclerosis, but AND can provide inhibitory activity of the cytokine IL-1β against inflammation. Not many researchers have discussed the pharmacological effects of AND as an antiatherosclerotic on IL-1β therapeutic targets, but from the results of the review AND has a strong potential in inhibiting IL-1 cytokine secretion β.

Abstract

The nurse's physical workload can include lifting and moving patients who cannot move independently, performing medical procedures that require physical endurance, and working long hours without adequate rest periods. The study aimed to determine the physical and mental workload of health workers with the application of patient safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. The design of this study is quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach; the number of samples is 36 respondents. The research variable was an independent variable (mental and physical workload) with a dependent variable (patient safety application). The study's results related the relationship of physical workload with the application of patient safety with a value of p = 0.409 and the relationship of mental workload with the application of patient safety with p = 0.069. It can be concluded that there is no relationship between physical workload and the application of patient safety in the inpatient room. There is no relationship between mental workload and the application of patient safety in the inpatient room. Therefore, hospitals need to provide adequate support and resources to help nurses manage their workload effectively and prevent burnout and workload overload that can negatively impact healthcare workers' mental and physical health

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and self-care adherence in patients with hypertension. Self-care adherence refers to an individual's compliance with medical recommendations and behaviors supporting hypertension control. The research method employed is an observational study involving participants with hypertension. Data were obtained through questionnaires measuring the level of self-efficacy and self-care adherence. Statistical analysis was conducted to identify the relationship between self-efficacy and self-care adherence. The findings of the study indicate a positive relationship between self-efficacy and self-care adherence in patients with hypertension. Individuals with strong self-efficacy are more likely to be compliant in their self-care practices, including regularly taking medication, following a healthy diet, engaging in regular exercise, and monitoring their blood pressure. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening self-efficacy in individuals with hypertension to enhance their self-care adherence. In conclusion, self-efficacy plays a significant role in self-care adherence among patients with hypertension. Enhancing self-efficacy can be an effective strategy for improving self-care adherence and controlling blood pressure in patients with hypertension

Abstract

Tomato is one of the plants that contain lycopene as an antibacterial. Acne is an infectious disease caused by Staphylococcus epidermidis. Antibiotic treatment starts to become resistant so that plants can be used as alternative treatments. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the ethanolic extract of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L) against the growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria in vitro. This type of research is experimental. Extraction was carried out by maceration method with 96% ethanol as solvent. Lycopene extract with concentrations of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%. Testing with the paper disk method with five repetitions. Aquadest as a negative control, and tetracycline as a positive control. The results showed that the diameter of the inhibition zone formed in the positive control was 40.36 mm (potent inhibition). Inhibition zones at concentrations of 100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20% had solid inhibitory power. The results of statistical tests showed that the ethanolic extract of tomato (Solanum lycopersycom L) had antibacterial effectiveness against the growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria that causes acne in vitro. The post hoc test shows a significant effect between a T1 concentration of 100% with negative control and positive control

Abstract

Breastfeeding can protect infants and toddlers; therefore, it is advisable to breastfeed as soon as possible after the baby is born. Early contact between mother and baby is a sensitive period in which an earlier delay in contact between the baby and the mother will interfere with the child's further development. Various reasons are put forward by mothers who do not exclusively breastfeed their babies, including mothers who feel less milk production, difficulty in sucking babies, working mothers, the desire to be modern, and the influence of advertising/promotion of breast milk substitutes. This study aimed to determine the relationship between education and knowledge on changes in attitudes of III trimester pregnant women about Early Breastfeeding Initiation. Analytical research with a Cross-Sectional Study approach with a sample of 31 people. Data processing with SPSS with Chi-Square test. The study's results did not show a relationship between education and knowledge in the attitude of III trimester pregnant women towards Early Initiation of Breastfeeding. Every expectant mother is unique, and the approach to teaching and understanding can be tailored to their needs and preferences. Supporting expectant mothers with accurate information, emotional support, and appropriate resources can help improve their attitudes toward early breastfeeding initiation and prepare them for a positive breastfeeding experience.

Abstract

Stabilization of the tibia when moving forward and rotational movements of the knee joint will be assisted by one of the ligaments in the knee joint, namely the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL). This study aims to present physiotherapy management strategies to help reduce pain, prevent stiffness, increase muscle strength, decrease muscle spasms, increase the joint scope of motion, and overcome edema. The method used in this study is a case report. Primary data are obtained through auto anamnesis and physical examination. Holistic diagnosis assessment is carried out quantitatively from the study's beginning, process, and end. The result is that a 33-year-old male patient with a postoperative diagnosis of ACL underwent surgery on November 14, 2022, and has done therapy 7 times; the patient has experienced significant changes. It can be concluded that postoperative ACL rehabilitation can reduce edema and pain, increase muscle strength, and increase ROM. Finding interventions that can be applied to learning and modification of interventions is also recommended to assist in post-ACL reconstruction recovery to return to daily activities. The diagnosis and treatment of physiotherapy in patients are by the latest theories and research. In the evaluation, clinical improvement of patients and increased knowledge were obtained

Abstract

Caring is the most essential thing in nursing practice because caring is a dynamic approach that is closely related to the professionalism of nurses and lack of caring in nursing services can result in a decrease in the quality of nursing services, decreased patient satisfaction, and an increase in nursing days. The purpose of the study was to determine reward factors and decision making based on nurses' perceptions with nurses' caring behavior. This study used a correlational design in the form of cross sectional. The independent variable in this study is Reward and Decision Making and the dependent variable is caring behavior. The population in this study was all implementing nurses with non-probability sampling techniques, namely consecutive sampling with a total of 77 people in accordance with inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The results of the analysis showed a significant relationship between reward and decision-making with nurses' caring behavior (p = 0.000-0.030; α = 0.05). It can be concluded that organizational culture is related to nurses' caring behavior, not reward and decision-making even though there is a meaningful relationship. Follow-up approaches and research to determine the most dominant factors for nurses in nurses' caring behavior. All hypotheses are proven where there is a meaningful relationship of reward variables and decision making as part of organizational culture factors based on nurses' perceptions with nurses' caring behavior
