Abstract

Various problems have occurred in implementing learning at home since the transition to online learning to prevent the Covid-19 outbreak. Parents at home are required to provide maximum guidance because parents as educators are tasked with guiding the child's learning process from a distance. However, not all parents can assist their children, so children experience obstacles and problems that require a role not only from parents. Not only that, children face several factors due to the lack of learning assistance, including the lack of student independence in learning caused by the unpreparedness of parents in assisting and guiding students to study at home and discomfort due to using gadgets. To check for a long time. The Tanjung Hulu District Government partners with the Tanjungpura University BEM. The method used in implementing this program is a classical approach carried out by providing learning materials that are easy and understandable for children. The results showed that the activities had run smoothly, starting with introductions, the provision of materials had been carried out well, and the children were also enthusiastic about participating in the implementation of this mentoring

Abstract

Severe coastal erosion in some coastal areas of Karawang Regency, one of which is in Cemarajaya Village, Cibuaya Subdistrict, has impacted the community's socio-economic activities. Efforts to prevent coastal erosion can be carried out, among others, through coastal rehabilitation by planting mangroves. However, the village community's knowledge, understanding, and perception in preserving the mangrove ecosystem are still low. Therefore, it is necessary to implement socialization activities on preserving mangrove ecosystems, especially in coastal boundary areas, to prevent coastal erosion. The method of implementing this activity uses the observational socialization method. The community service activity results benefit the village government, educational institutions (schools), and the local community.

Abstract

Currently, there is an increase in in the community, including the community in Kekeran Village. This must be balanced with good knowledge regarding how to administer drugs properly to avoid the impact of drug misuse. However, the survey results show that the community in Kekeran village have never received information related to drug management. This can affect the success of the community in carrying out self-medication. With these problems, we as the community service made efforts in the form of counselling activities to get, use, store, and dispose (DAGUSIBU) of drugs correctly which aims to increase the knowledge of the community of Kekeran Village regarding drug management. The method used in this counselling is the method of socialization in the form of presentations with the help of power points and booklets as well as the question and answer method with the intended target, namely housewives (IRT). Based on the socialization, the presence of participants met the target, namely the total number of IRTs totalling 28 people (100%) and most of them were active in the question and answer session (57.14%) which indicated the activity was enthusiastically welcomed by the community. The measurement of the knowledge level of IRT in Kekeran Village was carried out using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. From the results of the questionnaire, it was found that before the counselling, the knowledge of IRT regarding the DAGUSIBU was still low (42.14%). However, after the counselling was carried out, the knowledge of IRT in Kekeran village was classified as good (98.83%). Based on this, it can be concluded that there was an increase in public knowledge that previously did not or did not know to know about how to manage drugs properly (56.19%). Therefore, this activity should be routinely carried out in Kekeran Village so that the community to manage drugs

Abstract

The purpose of this service aims to explain the urgency and impartiality of Christology teaching as the main teaching material in fostering the faith of the congregation during the Covid-19 pandemic The importance of this coaching activity is because it is hoped that all members of the Bandung Evangelical Methodist Church will know more about the God who gives hope in Jesus Christ during the Covid-19 pandemic, and so that they will be better prepared to face the COVID-19 pandemic after Christology teaching materials are taught. It is also hoped that all members of the congregation who are fostered will be able to gain new experiences and knowledge. This action takes the form of assisting members of the Evangelical Methodist Church with faith-building activities. This activity is carried out with the method of mentoring learning through teaching and counseling. The results of the mentoring activities were 1) 69.8% of the congregation needed Christology teaching materials because they wanted to know more about the God who gives hope in Jesus Christ during the Covid-19 pandemic and 2) The response of the congregation after teaching the congregation was more prepared to face the covid-19 pandemic because they believed that Christ the Immanuel was with the congregation

Abstract

The utilization of family medicinal plant or known as TOGA has been used as a medication since ancient time. Until now, the scientific use of TOGA has not been widely known by the Indonesian people, one of which is the community in Gunung Salak Village, Tabanan, Bali. Some people in Gunung Salak village are known to have cultivated several types of TOGA, but the majority of the people there don’t know yet the function and how to use TOGA for health. Health education activities regarding the use of TOGA are carried out with the aim of increasing public knowledge, especially Banjar Kemetug and Banjar Apit Yeh, as well as increasing responses from village officials to support efforts to cultivate and utilize TOGA scientifically and massively. The provision of questionnaires to the people in both Banjar as evaluation material for this health education activity. Statistical analysis was carried ot on each item of the questionnaire questions and the understanding of each respondent who had filled out the questionnaire, both before and after the extension using Mc Nemar test. The majority of respondents who attended were aged 41-50 years (40%) and had a high level of understanding related to TOGA both before (76%) and after health education (100%). Based on Mc Nemar analysis, it was found that there was a significant difference of each respondent who had filled out the questionnaire before and after the health education (p=0,004). Overall there was a significant difference of each question item on the questionnaire (p<0,05). This indicates that the extension activity that has been carried out can increase the understanding of the community in Gunung Salak Village and increase efforts to cultivate and use TOGA

Abstract

This article aims to describe the use of water hyacinth leaves as an ingredient for making hand sanitizers or natural antiseptic gels. Water hyacinth leaves will not cause microbial resistance due to the complexity of water hyacinth leaves containing flavonoids (luteolin, apigenin, tricin, chrysoeriol, kaempferol, azaeleatin, gossypetin, and orientin) and tannins contained in water hyacinth leaves are proven to be effective as antibacterial and antimicrobial agents. Based on this potential, water hyacinth leaves are very likely to be used as a natural antiseptic. The hand sanitizer produced in this activity has gone through a preference test on the community by looking at the preferences for color, thickness, moist impression, aroma (fragrance), and packaging. The teenager community in the RW 027, Batursari, Mranggen District, Demak Regency. With this activity, the teenager community can gain knowledge about the use of water hyacinth leaf extract as a natural hand sanitizer that is environmentally friendly and can make hand sanitizer products independently. Thus, the application of making water hyacinth leaf extract hand sanitizer can be applied in the area.

Abstract

In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, technology is crucial. The use of technology can benefit businesses, particularly Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) by making it simpler for them to promote their goods and provide information about them. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of residents of Plosowahyu Village who are unable to effectively use technology. As a result, the author feels compelled to perform community service in order to help the residents of Plosowahyu Village understand the value of technology, and improve their ability to manage social media as a tool for promoting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and create graphic designs as a useful means of information sharing between hamlets and villages. The target of this socialization includes Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) activists in Plosowahyu Village and youth-focused social organizations. The process of implementation entails socialization, education, and help with creating tasks and programs. Based on the results of the tasks, all participants are capable of independently producing graphic designs and comprehending the significance of technology throughout the industrial revolution. 4.0.

Abstract

Maximizing youth as a region asset must be accompanied by comprehensive training. The focus of the training was Pathuk youth in the Karang Taruna Organization. The purpose of the training is to bring out the best potential of Pathuk youth and to prepare them with entrepreneurship skills in the forth industrial revolution era. The training begins with the participant’s self-mapping based on their strengths and weaknesses. Furthermore, online marketing training is carried out by adjusting the natural and human potential of this region. The introduction and use of English-based online shopping features are the skills to train as a provision for aiming at the digital market. Through lecturing, discussing, and question-and-answer methods, the entire training has been proven to bring out the potential of natural and human resources in the Pathuk area which has not been exposed earlier. Self-introspection of participants, and models of online marketing, both in Indonesian and English, were the outcomes generated from this training. The paradigm shift was obtained from the responses of participants who completely participated in the training

Abstract

The demands of the 4.0 industrial revolution and the implementation of blended learning as the result of the COVID-19 pandemi are very solid in educational field. Teachers are required to be able to carry out distance learning activities by utilizing various learning media which are mostly technological-based. This Community Service aims at improving the ability and or skill of elementary school teachers in Ata Dei District, Lembata Regency in utilizing technological-based media in learning activities. 25 elementary school teachers in Ata Dei District involved in this PkM. The PkM was designed in two activities namely, seminar and workshop. The seminar was carried out for 3 hours while the workshop was carried out for 3 days. In this activity, a portal launched by KEMDIKBUD namely portal Rumah Belajar was introduced. It consists of 4 features, namely the sumber belajar feature, the laboratorium maya feature, the wahana jelajah angkasa feature and the edugame feature. The impact of this activity is increasing the knowledge and skills of elementary school teachers in Ata Dei District, Lembata Regency in using the portal rumah belajar as a digital technology-based learning media whic is effective and efficient in learning activities, especially daring learning.

Abstract

Every year, hypertension become the main cause of the death in the world and known as the silent killer. Untreated hypertension can cause various problems in the body especially the brain, heart and kidneys. Age, heredity, and lifestyle are factors that cause hypertension. The elderly is a group susceptible to hypertension due to physiological changes in blood vessels because of age related. Elderly people with hypertension often experience anxiety which can increase blood pressure. The purpose of this community service is to increase knowledge and lifestyle in doing sports and reduce anxiety in the elderly with hypertension in the Kuwus district of West Manggarai. The respondents of this study were 25 hipertensive elderly clients. The activity was carried out in 3 stages, namely 1) measuring blood pressure and anxiety levels 2) counseling about hypertension and anxiety 3) Education on deep breathing relaxation and 5 finger hypnosis techniques, and 4) Joint exercise. Based on the paired t-test result, it was identified the difference of knowledge (pvalue: 0.001) and attitude (pvalue: 0,005) between pre and post intervention. The results of the implementation show that after the knowledge activity has increased and the anxiety of the elderly has decreased. Relaxation and exercise techniques can be applied to the elderly in the future
