Abstract

The problem of poverty is still a homework that has not been resolved by the government. Various efforts have been made, one of which is through the Family Hope Program (PKH), which is a conditional cash assistance for beneficiaries. It is said to be conditional because recipients must access education and health services using the grant funds received. However, based on information obtained from the companion, it is known that the recipients did not fully use the aid money according to its designation. This happens for various reasons, one of which is minimal income so they have to look for other sources to meet their daily needs. Therefore, this dedication is intended to provide an understanding of how to manage family finances so that whatever income is earned can be sufficient to meet life's needs, not a lifestyle. This dedication method is carried out with lectures, discussions and brainstorming with participants. The result of this service is that participants gain additional knowledge about budget planning, budget control, and distinguishing between needs and wants

Abstract

Every older adult has a risk of suffering from chronic disease including hypertension. Older adults who live in Nursing Homes in Manado also have the same risk. The result of the study showed that there are 50% of older adults in Senja Cerah Nursing Home and 30% of older adults in Damai Ranomuut nursing home suffering hypertension. Appropriate action is needed to solve this problem so that, the complications of hypertension can be prevented. The solution to this problem is education about hypertension and progressive muscle relaxation techniques exercise. This activity is divided into three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Preparations made include coordinating with the orphanage, preparing the place for activities, and preparing materials. The implementation of the activity is divided into two parts: education about hypertension and progressive muscle relaxation techniques exercise. The evaluation carried out are structural evaluation and process evaluation. Participants who participated in this activity totaled 24 older adults. The evaluations result showed that there is an increase in the knowledge of the older adults about hypertension after education and older adults are able to perform movements in progressive muscle relaxation technique exercise.

Abstract

The socialization aims to provide information about stunting prevention and parenting education to mothers in Argosari Village, Jabung District, Malang Regency. The observation results show that there are still toddlers who experience stunting. The method of implementing this activity is interactive socialization. This socialization was filled by two KKN students who were in accordance with their fields. Through socialization activities, it is hoped that mothers can understand stunting, how to prevent stunting, routinely attend posyandu, and understand parenting according to the needs of each family.

Abstract

Kaffir lime (Citrus hystrix DC.) is an economical product and has high health value. Generally, kaffir lime peel is the part that contains a lot of essential oils, so it is used by community groups in Badung Regency, Bali, specifically in Dalung Village, to extract this essential oil. The aim of this activity is of course to chemically test the quality of the products that partners have produced which will then provide knowledge to partners about the importance of producing good quality so that the products produced are able to compete in society. A GC-MC (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy) test was carried out on this essential oil to determine the content of the essential oil that has been produced by the partner, where the GC-MS results showed that the essential oil of kaffir lime skin produced by the partner was 81,90% citronella compounds. In this service activity, community understanding regarding essential oils was also carried out, where with this activity, community understanding increased as seen from the pre-test and post-test scores.

Abstract

Gamping Village is a village in the Krian area, Sidoarjo, which is a busy route between cities. Several housewives there have businesses to support the family economy. One of the food businesses managed by Gamping village housewives is the "4W" brand snack business. The types of food produced are elephant ears, hidden beans, onion sticks and mini pastels. Based on real conditions, "4W" snacks have disadvantages, namely that the product easily "goes sour", the packaging is still simple, and it does not come with a label. The aim of this community service is to achieve quality products with attractive product packaging and label designs, as well as minimal oil products. The methods of community service activities are discussion, counseling and mentoring. The initial discussion was carried out with a direct visit to explore the problems and the agreement program being implemented. The counseling was attended by Central Gamping women who own snack businesses. As an example of developing quality food products, a mentoring program was carried out in one of the snack brands, namely the "4W" product. The program carried out on the "4W" product is the development of a simple spinner to reduce oil content so that the product life is longer. The “4W” product packaging was also changed to use a zippered standing pouch. The product is more attractive, easy to open and close, and practical to carry anywhere. Packaging becomes more informative with the addition of new labels. All service activities ran smoothly, supported by Central Gamping women and "4W" product owners

Abstract

This article aims to evaluate the impact of halal certification on sales in Micro, Small, and Medium enterprises (MSMEs) pizza businesses, with a specific focus on consumer response. The study utilizes survey methods and data analysis to assess whether halal certification influences consumer purchase decisions. The implementation method consists of three stages: Socialization, Assistance, and Evaluation. The findings demonstrate that halal certification has a significant positive influence on MSMEs pizza sales, creating consumer trust, and enhancing preference for halal products. The implications of this research provide strategic guidance for MSMEs pizza businesses in addressing a market that is increasingly concerned about the halal aspects of products

Abstract

Golo Tolang Village in NTT Province is a PkM partner because it has problems in administering village road infrastructure, namely limited knowledge and ability of village government administrators to collect data on village road infrastructure assets. This problem resulted in the findings of the 2022 East Manggarai Regency Inspectorate's inspection, where village funds were allocated to assets that did not yet have legal status. This PkM is implemented with the aim of increasing the knowledge and capabilities of village government administrators in terms of data collection on village road infrastructure assets and the availability of data on village road infrastructure assets in Golo Tolang Village as material for proposals to the regent to determine their status as village roads. The method applied in this PkM is socialization and assistance in filling out the format based on Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 1 of 2016, attended by 16 participants. Stage 1 evaluation obtained a score of 75, stage 2 evaluation obtained a score of 93.75, and stage 3 evaluation obtained a score of 100. Finally, a draft of the proposed village road infrastructure assets in Golo Tolang Village was obtained, totaling 41 sections with a total length of 125.03 kilometers to determine its status as a village road in accordance with the provisions of the applicable regulations
