Abstract

The increasing number of COVID 19 casesin Indonesia, especially in Manggarai, has caused a lot of anxiety and fear. The people is continuously urged to comply with health protocols so as not to be exposed to this very dangerous virus. This includes washing hands frequently with soap and water and using hand sanitizer. This causes the demand for hand sanitizers in the market to increase so that these products are increasingly slow and even unable to meet all people's requests. Therefore, many people try to make their own hand sanitizer by referring to the procedures set by WHO using alcohol, glycerol, and hydrogen peroxide and aquadest, the concentration of which is not less than 70% in order to function effectively as an antiseptic, so raw materials are needed. alternative alcohol from natural ingredients that can be found in the surrounding environment. In Manggarai district, one type of traditional drink with a fairly high alcohol content is "Tuak". Therefore, the using of tuak as a basic ingredient for making hand sanitizers is a new breakthrough to overcome the scarcity of hand sanitizers. The process of making hand sanitizer made from tuak goes through three steps, namely the preparation of materials and tools, the manufacturing process and the packaging process. The results of this innovation product are named "wacalime" hand sanitizer which is packaged in spray bottles to make it more effective and efficient

Abstract

The CTPS (Washing Hands with Soap) program was a flagship program from Bangka Village which was created to succeed a West Manggarai government program, namely the STBM (Community-Based Total Sanitation) program. Based on the results of field observations, it appears that the health of the community in Bangka through Village was still very poor. In the sense that the community has not realized the importance of cleanliness and health. In this case, people did not care to wash their hands before eating or after doing housework that makes hands dirty. According to the health department, people in this village should know how to wash their hands properly with soap and water. For this reason, the solution is to present the PKM implementation team to carry out socialization after making the CTPS container by providing an understanding of people's habits of not washing their hands before preparing food, before eating, after defecating, after returning from the fields/gardens, after the children play with the soiland improper hand washing. In implementing this program, the TIM used a method that contains the following stages: (1) Planning of activities to be carried out, (2) Preparation of activities starting with coordinating the Village head and RT head, (3) Implementation of activities, (4) Monitoring and evaluation of activities is carried out. The results show that the people of Bangka Village have begun to realize the importance of health and hygiene and that the community has started to get used to and family members to wash their hands before eating and after urinating and defecating

Abstract

This article describes the community service activities (PkM) carried out by a servant as an academic at the Indonesian Catholic University of Santu Paulus Ruteng and the Chairperson of the Ruteng Diocese Tribunal. The PkM activities that have been carried out are carrying out legal handling through the title of marriage cases at the Ruteng Diocese Tribunal from 12 (twelve) Catholic married couples who filed a lawsuit against their marriage. The 12 marriages and households of Catholic married couples who were clients of the PkM were destroyed and failed. From the results of the investigation and handling of marriage cases conducted by the Ruteng Diocese Tribunal Institution, it was found that failed marriages were rooted in the initial primary motivation of the married couple who were legally disabled from the start. There were 12 cases handled by the Tribunal from August – December 2021. All the marriages that were handled earlier were invalid and should not have happened. It is just that this is not appropriately detected early on, thus leading them to a family life that is not harmonious and broken. After going through the process of assisting this troubled family, it turns out that pastoral caretakers no longer promise to restore a marriage that has been shattered. So, one way out is through legal action. After pastoral assistance cannot resolve their problems, the handling process is carried out. The legal handling method starts from consultation, administrative examination of case submissions, case investigation, trial, conclusion making, and delivery of decisions and further legal and pastoral consequences of decisions taken. With this legal treatment, troubled couples can be freed from legal entanglements and marital problems.

Abstract

Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) has plagued the whole world. WHO has designated it as a disease with pandemic status. This disease attacks the respiratory system and is transmitted through droplets. The Indonesian government has issued guidelines for preventing the transmission of Covid-19 by implementing health protocols according to WHO rules. However, there are still many people who still do not believe in the existence of the Coronavirus. This makes it the government difficult to implement health protocols with standards for the community, especially in areas outside Java and Bali. Public distrust is caused by the lack of clarity of information and the large number of hoax news circulating in the community. This is also experienced by parents/guardians of students in campus Medical Laboratory of Technology, Megarezky University, most of them are domiciled in the provinces of the central and eastern parts of Indonesia. Based on these conditions, we are moved to analyze the understanding and compliance of parents/guardians of students and educate them about how to prevent Covid-19. This community service activity is expected to increase public knowledge about preventing the spread of the Covid-19 disease. The method of activity is carried out online via zoom cloud meeting and google form through three-stage are a) Initial evaluation (pre-test) to evaluate participants' understanding regarding Covid-19, b) Counseling related to education and prevention of Covid-19, c) Evaluation of understanding (post-test) Covid-19 after attending the counseling. The results of the analysis show that counseling related to education and prevention of Covid-19 can increase public understanding of the importance of implementing and maintaining health protocols, how to make disinfectants, tracking and tracing, and information on food ingredients that can increase body immunity to deal with Covid-19. The role of the institution in educating through counseling has been proven to be able to change the mindset of participants to participate in the vaccination program

Abstract

Internet of Things is a phenomenon of information technology not only playing a role in the economic field, but also in the field of education. Today every teacher, especially at Vocational High Schools (SMK) is required to teach information technology, one of which is the Internet of Things. As such, it meets the needs of the industrial world which requiring skills and competitiveness in the technology from the vocational school graduates. This encourages teachers to always update knowledge about the development of information technology. However, not all information technology can be taught optimally, especially sensors material and its implementation on the Internet of Things. This occurs as the Internet of Things is a fairly new technology. In addition, the time for teachers to learn the latest technology is limited due to unsupported facilities and administrative tasks that need to be completed immediately. This has an impact on the minimum level of teacher mastery for sensors that support Internet of Things technology including teachers at the SMK Walisongo Semarang. Through the Community Service (PkM) program at the Universitas Semarang which was held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, the PkM team expected an increasing knowledge of the implementation of sensors supporting Internet of Things technology for teachers at SMK Walisongo Semarang. There are 4 types of sensors used in this PkM program, namely proximity sensors, humidity sensors, temperature sensors, and light sensors which will be presented using the practical method. The PkM that has been carried out, it is found that the results of this service is that the knowledge of teachers on Internet of Things sensors has increased up to 75%.. It is hoped that this program will be a will increase teacher knowledge at the SMK Walisongo Semarang and can help them create vocational graduates who have the skills and competitiveness in the world of technology.
