Abstract

In Indonesia, the interest in reading in all circles is still lacking, especially students and students who are usually involved in the world of education. Because people who are less aware of the benefits of literacy. In addition, there are quite a lot of obstacles that occur when reading. When the government makes a policy to build a culture of literacy through ways of getting students to read for 10-15 minutes before learning begins. This study intends to determine the influence and obstacles of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) program on reading hobbies among students at the Assyukur Bakti Health Vocational School. The subjects in this study were students of Assyukur Bakti Health Vocational School. The formulation of the problem in this study are: 1) What is meant by literacy? 2) What are the obstacles in literacy? 3) The approach used in this study is qualitative research. The data collection technique is done by questionnaire, observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of the study found that students' fondness for reading increased can be seen from the results of the questionnaire which showed the results that the students of reading were reading as gifts after the School Literacy Movement. Literacy culture can be improved, their reading activities can be observed, and their reading skills develop well by cultivating a culture of literacy in students.

Abstract

Language is  a tool which is used by human in communication activities. In communication, the language used can be a written aspect or a spoken aspect. In spoken activity, we often find some mistakes in speaking a language. This case is happened because of the limitation about the knowledge of language speaker. This research is aimed to correct the mistakes found in speaking by using language mistakes analysis which is focused on two aspects namely the kind of mistakes aspect and region aspect and the mistake characteristic. The research method which is used in this research is qualitative research. The result showed that a spoken can be analyzed by using language mistake analysis.

Abstract

This research is based on the fact that moral values are important, novels as written literary works must also contain moral values so that they can be used as an example, moreover the researchers themselves will be involved in the world of education, so that research on moral values can be taught more or less to students by reading literary works and looking for moral values contained in them. The problem in this study is whether there is a moral value in the novel Laskar Pelangi; then what are the moral values contained in the novel Laskar Pelangi; The purpose of this study was to analyze moral values in the novel Laskar Pelangi and describe the results of moral analysis research in the novel Laskar Pelangi. The method in this study is a descriptive method. The steps of data collection in this study are 1) Intensive reading of the novel entitled the irregulars of the rainbow 2) Recording quotes that contain moral values and analyze them. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that there are so many moral values that the author wants to convey, including researchers finding religious or religious moral values and researchers find finding moral values related to society or social.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the message contained in the poem "PANGGUNG SANDIWARA" By Ika Mustika. This research can be useful for the readers and the writers in building a literary work. To improve the reader's ability in analyzing a poem. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method that is by presenting the results of research with the form of words. The source obtained from the book Mustika 40 Puisi. The analysis results found the element of poetry builder one of which is the message. The message is the kindness message that the author conveys through the story. This message itself is closely related to the cause and effect. The message we can take from poetry can be applied in daily life. Therefore, in making poetry a complete work, the message is very important.

Abstract

This is the purpose of describing the value of the character education value in the 10 poems of Taufik Ismail's work: There is a Child Asked on his Father, Prayer, Sea Road, Garden in Central Island Coral, Blood Jacket, Baby Born May 1998, Previous Port Install, About Nurcholis Sergeant, With My Poetry, and Hungry People. This analysis was analyzed by qualitative descriptive techniques Miles and Huberman (Budiyono, 2013, Hlm. 8) with the focus of research on data reduction, analysis and presentation of data, and inference creation. The results show that the values of the educational value of the characters found in Taufik Ismail poetry are religious values, moral values and ethics, hard work values, nationalism values, homeland love values, social values of concern, and values of responsibility.

Abstract

Pembelajaran menulis masih dirasakan sulit oleh siswa, ini terbukti dari hasil observasi awal yang dilakukan di kelas XII SMK  bahwa nilai pembelajaran menulis masih rendah, hal ini disebabkan karena siswa merasa kesulitan untuk mengungkapkan ide, gagasan, atau hasil pemikiran ke dalam suatu tulisan. Salah satu kesulitan siswa  dalam pembelajaran menulis adalah menulis teks berita. Agar kesulitan tersebut dapat diatasi salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah menerapkan pendekatan kontekstual dalam pembelajaran mengonversi teks berita.  Hasil penelitian di lapangan masih terdapat peserta didik yang kesulitan dalam mengonversi teks berita secara tepat dan benar. Dari latar belakang masalah tersebut maka rumusan masalah  dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana aktivitas pendidik dan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran teks berita melalui metode contextual teaching and learning di kelas XII SMK? bagaimana respon peserta didik sesudah menggunakan metode contextual teaching and learning didalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita di kelas XII SMK?  Apakah terdapat perbedaan selama sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode contextual teaching and learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita di kelas XII SMK?  Berdasarkan rumusan masalah tersebut  maka hipotesis dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita dengan menggunakan metode contextual teaching and learning hal ini dapat terlihat dari peningkatan hasil nilai rata-rata pretes dan postes. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen pretest-posttest control group design, dalam desain ini terdapat dua kelompok yang masing-masing dipilih secara random dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita dengan menggunakan metode CTL, sehingga dapat mendukung hipotesis yang telah dirumuskan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data kemampuan menulis teks berita dengan menggunakan metode CTL efektif digunakan di kelas XII SMK ini terlihat dari adanya perbedaan perolehan nilai rata-rata pretes yaitu 75,59 dan nilai postes meningkat menjadi 90,50. Dari perolehan nilai tersebut membuktikan bahwa adanya peningkatan kemampuan peserta didik dalam menulis teks berita setelah menggunakan pendekatan CTL.

Abstract

This research is based on the low ability of students in writing an essay of argumentation on the high school level. The ability to write is important in education, because by writing students easily pour ideas, feelings, and change the form of sounds that are heard into papers. Learning writing emphasizes students to be able to describe a variety of ideas, ideas, feelings, opinions, or thoughts. This study uses a guided inquiry method. Through the method of guided inquiry students are strived to maximize learning to make an argumentation essay. Before conducting research, researchers prepare to learn plans including the preparation of syllabi and RPP. In the preparation of the RPP, there are several parts, the components that must be fulfilled such as identity, competency standards, basic Competencies, and so on. Significant differences in outcomes from the use of Guide inquiry method between before and after in Harapan Baru high school students in Bekasi. From an average of 67.4 initial tests to 75.7 in the final test.

Abstract

Literature is a work created by someone who will be published later, so the work he has made can be enjoyed by many people. A literary work written by an author whose purpose to read by others, in a literary work that has been created must have to contain the values that can be taken by readers. Among the many literary works we have read that we find interesting are the poems of "Keluarga Port" by WS Rendra. Poetry is a literary work that reveals the thoughts and feelings of a poet to the problems that exist in himself and his environment. It can also be studied from themes such as romance, religion, and feelings. Knowing that this article will analyze the nilaireligius on the "Portrait of the Family" portrait by WS Rendra. The focus of this article's discussion is the religious aspect that appears in the entire poem by using the critical methodology proposed by Teun A. van Dijk, by paying more attention to aspects of language, discourse, and communication process. This "Family Portrait" poem can give rise to an interpretation that will produce interpretations in understanding the overall religious meaning.

Abstract

Regarding the implementation of the current 2013 curriculum, students are required to play an active role in learning various kinds of texts, especially short story review texts. This study aims to find out (1) differences pretest and posttest using the problem posing model on learning to write short story review texts in class XI A2 SMAN 1 Cikalongwetan; (2) differences in aspects of the elements / systematics and language rules in the short story review text pretest and posttest using the problem posing model on learning to write short story review texts in class XI A2 SMAN 1 Cikalongwetan; (3) the effectiveness of the problem posing model in learning to write short story review texts in class XI A2 SMAN 1 Cikalongwetan. The method used in this research is pre experimental design with form (one group pretest-posttest). The sample taken was 28 students. The results showed an average initial test score of 46.25 and an average final test score of 78.57 which meant that posttest was better than prettest. There are significant differences in aspects of the content details and elements / systematics of short story review texts. Based on the results of the paired sample t-test, the Sig (2-tailed) value was 0,000 <0,05. Thus, the problem posing model is effective in learning to write short story review texts.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the learning plan, the implementation of learning, and the learning result of analyzing short story text using the Hypno-teaching method on the students of class XI SMAN 15 Bandung. The method of this research is descriptive. The research technique is an observation and test sheet. The population of this study is all the results of the ability to analyze the intrinsic element of short stories of students from XI MIPA 1 to XI MIPA 5 in SMAN 15 Kota Bandung, amounting to 215 students, and the sample is amounting to 31 students of class XI MIPA 5. The result of the research shows that: 1) learning planning to analyze short story text by using the Hypno-teaching method prepared by the teacher is appropriate, 2) implementation of learning done by teacher in accordance with RPP, 3) learning result analyze short story text using the Hypno-teaching method indicated from preliminary tests with an average score of 66.80 or 66.80%, and the final test score averaged 78.23 or 78.23%. The increase is 11.42%. In conclusion, effectiveness the Hypno-teaching method is used as a learning method in analyzing short stories.
