Single parent has a dual role as a parent to his children. This study aimed to describe the problems faced by single parent in their personal, social, family, work and religion life. Subjects were 40 widows. The research findings indicate that single parent who caused the divorce with husband having problems about relations with the husband's family, while single parent caused by the death of her husband having problems in terms of physical condition, health, and finances. At puberty adolescents undergo physical and psychological changes. Teens should be able to adjust to the changes that occur during puberty in him of receiving a physical condition and use it effectively. The fact in the school still many young people who have not been able to adjust to the changes that occur in the body. The purpose of this study is reveal the adjustment of adolescents during puberty. This research is descriptive. The population study of students from class VII, VIII and IX MTsN Langsat Kadap Pasaman listed in the 2012-2013 school year as many as 1090 people. The research sample is representative of the population number of students drawn using stratified random sampling technique with a sample of 92 people. The instruments used in the data collection was a questionnaire and processed using simple statistics that percentage.

Proses pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi berbeda dengan jenjang pendidikan sebelumnya sehingga mahasiswa baru perlu melakukan penyesuaian. Kenyataannya ditemukan mahasiswa yang tidak serius dalam proses perkuliahan, seperti datang terlambat, dan tidak membuat tugas sesuai petunjuk. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa BK FIP UNP angkatan 2011 yang terdaftar semester Januari-Juni 2013, berjumlah 196 orang. Jumlah sampel 132 orang dengan teknik Proportional Random Sampling. Instrumen digunakan adalah angket, diolah dengan teknik analisis persentase.Â Kata Kunci: proses pembelajaran, mahasiswa.

Planning career direction is a dynamic process and systematically assist students in determining the path of further education or work aspired. A phenomenon that occurs student is not realistic in choosing further education, are not ready to choose further education, and confused in choosing colleges and majors who wish to enter. One of the services that can be used to help students planning a career direction is a group counseling services. This study aims to reveal (1) planning career direction experimental group before and after being given treatment, (2) planning career direction control group pre-test and post-test without being offered treatment (3) planning towards student careers experimental and control groups in post -test.The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental research design nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Development Laboratory State University of Padang and SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. Sampling by random sampling technique. The research sample numbering 20 students. The instrument used is a Likert scale model. Data were analyzed using non-parametric statistics using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov 2 Independent Samples with SPSS version 20.00.The findings of this s research in general that guidance services group influence on the planning direction student careers, whereas in particular: (1) there are significant differences planning career direction before and after following guidance services group, (2) there are no significant differences planning career direction the control group pre-test and post-test without a given treatment, and (3) there is a significant difference toward career planning students experimental and control groups in post-test. Based on the above findings, it can be concluded that students planning a career direction can be enhanced with group counseling services.Â

Communication within the family is one of the means of parents instill the values to their children. This research background is the low skilled interpersonal communication of children and their parents. This study aimed to describe and examined: (1) interpersonal communication of children and parents in terms of sex, the last education of parent, and area of residence, (2) differences in interpersonal communication of children and parents in terms of sex, the last education of parent, and area of residence. The research methods applied in this research was ex post facto with factorial design 2 x 3 x 2. The population was students in SMAN 1 Maninjau and SMAN 1 Bukittinggi. The number of samples as much as 263 people were selected by cluster random sampling and combined with the technique propotional random sampling technique. The instruments used a Likert scale. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and using analysis of variance. Data analysis results showed that: (1) the general, interpersonal communication of children and parents in terms of sex, the last education of parents, and area of residence were in good category, (2) there are significant differences the variables sex, in the mean scores of female is higher than male students' the, the last education of parent and area of residence there are no differences significant. The implications of the results of this research can be used as input to create a program of guidance and counseling services, especially in the development of family.Â

Abstrak. Pola asuh yang diterapkan orangtua kepada setiap anak berbeda-beda. Pola asuh yang diterapkan orangtua berdampak kepada tingkah laku anak, salah satunya akan berpengaruh terhadap disiplin anak di sekolah. Kenyataannya ditemukan ada siswa tidak disiplin di sekolah karena penerapan pola asuh orangtua yang kurang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan hubungan pola asuh orangtua dengan disiplin siswa di sekolah. Jenis penelitian ini deskriptif korelasional dengan temuan bahwa pola asuh orangtua yang dominan dirasakan oleh siswa yang diterapkan orangtua adalah pola asuh authoritative, siswa SMP N 12 Padang disiplin di sekolah dan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh orangtua dengan disiplin siswa di sekolah. Implementation of individual counseling, guidance and counseling teachers should apply the principle of confidentiality. Reality shows that there are still students who are not open in expressing their concerns. This study aimed to test whether there is a link students' perception implementation of the principle of confidentiality by teacher guidance and counseling with individual counseling student interest. This study belongs to the kind of descriptive correlational. Eleventh grade students study population, sampling using proportional random sampling technique. The results showed there is a significant relationship between students' perceptions of the implementation of the principle of confidentiality by teacher guidance and counseling to interest students to attend individual counseling.

The implementation of Group Guidance Services to Prepare The Mental of The Students in Facing National Examination. This study generarally aims to examine the effectiveness of group guidance services in increasing studentâ€™s mental readiness in facing the National Examination. Two groups were selected by using selected purposive sampling these groups will be used as the experimental group and the control group. Each group consisted of 8 students. The research finding shows that there are difference of studentâ€™s mental readiness in facing the National Examination before and after participating in group guidance activities. In general there is group guidance services effective in increasing studentâ€™s mental readiness in facing the National Examination

One of the BK's teacher roles at school is optimize the learning result of student. Self regulated learning (SRL) and locus of control (LOC) are the factors that greatly influencethe learning result of student. This research is based on inconsistency research innovating about SRL and LOC ofmen and women from all kind of the cultures in Indonesia. The goals of this research are:Â (1) to describe SRL and LOC (2) to examine the differences of SRL and LOC of the studentsÂ based on sex and cultural background.This research is quantitative descriptive and comparative. The populations are student at SMAN 1 Batusangkarand at SMAN 1 Balige(2015-2016). The sample were taken by using random sampling technique, the total of the sample is 350 students. Data were analyzed by percentage and MANOVAtechnique.The result of this research show that (1) SRL are quite good and LOC is belong to internalization (2) there is no significant difference of students who have Minangkabau and Batak, there are significant difference on SRL of male and female students in Minangkabau, and LOC there is not difference, there are significant differences in SRL of male and female students in Batak, and LOC is no difference, there are no significant differences on men and women in Minangkabau and Batak. The implications of the results of this research can be used as input to create a program of guidance and counseling services, especially in the development of learning.

The students who had high academic self-efficacy, generally, were able to obtain high learning achievement and vise versa. In fact, there were still some students having low academic self-efficacy. This research was aimed at describing the studentsâ€™ academic self-efficacy and their learning achievement, and revealing the correlation between academic self-efficacy and the studentsâ€™ learning achievementÂ at SMA Negeri 2 Solok Selatan. This was a descriptive correlational research. The number of the population was 388 students from which 153 were taken as the sample. The intruments of the research was questionnaire and document of studentsâ€™ score in mid semester test in academic year 2013-2014. The result of the research indicated that there was a significant correlation between the academic self-efficacy and the studentsâ€™ learning achievement.
