Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan PCK (Pedagogical Content Knowledge) gurumatapelajaranbiologi SMA di Kecamatan Babat Toman. Metode penelitian yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah semua guru biologi yang ada di Kecamatan Babat Toman dengan jumlah empat orang. Materi yang dipilih yaitu materi sistem saraf. Data dikumpulkan dari Content Representasi (CoRe)danPedagogical and Experience Repertoire (PaP-eRs), RPP, Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, wawancara serta dokumentasi yang digunakanuntukmengukurkategorikemampuan PCK guru yaituPra-PCK, Growing PCKdanMaturing PCK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil analisis RPP rata-rata nilai yang diperoleh yakni 81,81 maka secara umum dalam penyusunan RPP guru Biologi SMA di Kecamatan Babat Toman termasuk kategori baik. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran rata-rata nilai yang diperoleh yakni 74,40 termasuk dalam kategori cukup. Hasil analisis data CoRe nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh yakni 76,16 termasuk dalam kategori cukup, sedangkan PaP-eRs guru memperoleh rata-rata nilai 85,41 termasuk dalam kategori baik. Berdasarkan kategori PCK yang ditetapkan dapatdisimpulkanbahwa guru Biologi SMA di Kecamatan Babat Toman termasuk dalam kategori Pra-PCk danGrowing PCK. Tiga guru termasuk Growing PCK dan satu guru termasuk Pra-PCK. Kata kunci: Pedagogical Content Knowledge, kemampuan guru, pembelajaran biologi

Abstract

Abstract: A studi about effect of Syzygium polyanthum W. leaves on Candida albicans was done. The objective of this experiment to know methanol S. polyanthum extract for impeding C. albicans growth as in vitro. The experiment used method of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and analytical examination using F test by 6 treatments that are concentration of 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, and 6% with 4 repetition. Pharameter was used namely transparant zone at aroung of papper disc. The result showed that methanol  S. polyanthum extract can impede C. albicans growth for concentration of 1%, 2% and 3% and the most active showed for concentration of 3%. Result also showed that methanol S. polyanthum extract can inhibi the growth of C. albicans with minimum inhibition concentration 1%. The conclusion that methanol S. polyanthum was potential as an antifungal toward C. albicans. Key words: Syzygium polyanthum W. leaves, antifungal, Candida albicans

Abstract

Rounnisa Aminy, Siti Huzaifah, Didi Jaya Santri Universitas Sriwijaya   ABSTRAK: Penelitian pengembangan ini telah dilakukan untuk menghasilkan produk Materi Pembelajaran berupa materi ajar dan soal-soal tentang Sistem Koordinasi Manusia Memanfaatkan Fitur Edmodo untuk Sekolah Menengah Atas yang valid dan praktis. Metode penelitianyang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian pengembangan (Development Research ). Penelitian ini meliputi tiga tahap, yaitu: 1) tahap analisis, 2) tahap perancangan, dan 3) tahap evaluasi. Jenis evaluasi yang digunakan yaitu evaluasi formatif yang berpedoman pada hasil pemikiran Tessmer (1998) dibatasi hanya sampai tahap small group. Berdasarkan penelitian ini telah dihasilkan materi ajar yang sangat valid dari segi isi, konstruk, bahasa dengan nilai rata-rata akhir 4,4 (skala 5) serta soal-soal yang valid dari segi isi, konstruk, bahasa dengan nilai rata-rata akhir 4,2 (skala 5). Hasil analisis angket peserta didik tahap one-to-one dan small group diperoleh rata-rata 4,5 dan 4,4 (skala 5).Nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh dari angket siswa menunjukkan bahwa materi pembelajaran sistem koordinasi manusia memanfaatkan fitur edmodo ini mudah digunakan (praktis).Dengan demikian, telah dihasilkan Materi Pembelajaran Sistem Koordinasi Manusia Memanfaatkan Fitur Edmodo untuk Sekolah Menengah Atas yang layak dan mudah digunakan. Kata kunci:Pengembangan, materi ajar, soal, edmodo, kevalidan, dan kepraktisan.

Abstract

The research to determine the potential of kecombrang leaf extract (Etlingera elatior) as plant larvicide against Culex quinquefasciatus has been carried out. Experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replications was carried out with Culex quinquefasciatus III instar larvae. Kecombrang leaf extract with a concentration of P0 (0%); P1 (1%); P2 (1.5%); P3 (2%); P4 (2.5%). Then the percentage of mortality of Culex quinquefasciatus was calculated at 24 and 48 hours after treatment. The data obtained were then analyzed by ANAVA, followed by Duncan Distance Distinction (BNJD) and Honestly Significant Difference Test (BNJ) and 50% Letal Concentration (KL50). ANAVA results showed that the administration of papaya seed extract had a very significant effect on the mortality of Culex quinquefasciatus larvae. BNJD test and BNJ test showed that the concentration to kill 100% of the Culex quinquefasciatus larvae was 2.5% at 24 hours and 2% at 48 hours. KL50 values for 24 and 48 hours are 1.216% and 0.595% respectively. Information on the results of this study can be used as additional material for Biology learning materials in class X semester 2 Basic Competence 3.8. Applying the classification principle to classify plants into divisio based on morphological observations and plant metagenesis and linking their role in the survival of life on earth.Key words: Kecombrang leaves, Culex quinquefasciatus, vegetable larvacides

STUDI AWAL PENGUASAAN KONSEP MAHASISWA CALON GURU BIOLOGI DALAM PERKULIAHAN FISIOLOGI HEWAN DI PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN BIOLOGI FKIP UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA* Adeng Slamet1) Prodi Pendidikan Biologi, FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya Jln Raya Palembang-Inderalaya Km 32, Inderalaya Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan     ABSTRAK: Studi awal mengenai  penguasaan konsep mahasiswa calon guru biologi dalam perkuliahan fisiologi hewan telah dilakukan di Prodi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya. Untuk menjaring data penguasaan konsep dilakukan melalui tes respon terbatas bentuk pilihan ganda, diolah dengan statistik  deskripif. Hasil studi menunjukkan penguasaan mahasiswa pada konsep sistem respirasi sebagian besar berada dalam interval nilai 33,50-38,50 dan 39,50-44,50 masing-masing 26,83% dengan nilai rata-rata 40,74; sistem sirkulasi pada interval nilai 35,39-41,39 (28,95%), nilai rata-rata 46,70; sedangkan pada sistem ekskresi dan osmoregulasi ada pada interval 42,50-47,50 (41,03%) dengan nilai rata-rata 40,51. Dapat disimpulkan penguasaan konsep mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan fisiologi hewan pada tiga topik yakni sistem respirasi, sirkulasi, ekskresi dan osmoregulasi masih rendah. Kata kunci: Penguasaan konsep, fisiologi hewan, mahasiswa calon guru biologi   ABSTRACT: Preliminary studies on the mastery of the biological concept of prospective biology teachers has been conducted in animal physiology, at biology education courses Faculty of Teacher Education University of Sriwijaya. To gather data mastery of concepts is done through a limited response test multiple choice form, processed by descriptive statistics. The study shows student mastery of the concept of the respiratory system most of the values ​​are within the interval from 39.50 to 44.50 33.50 to 38.50 and 26.83% respectively with an average value of 40.74; circulation system in the interval of values ​​from 35.39 to 41.39 (28.95%), the average value of 46.70; whereas the excretion and osmoregulation system is in the interval from 42.50 to 47.50 (41.03%) with an average value of 40.51. It can be concluded that student mastery of concepts in animal physiology lecture on three topics namely respiratory system, circulation, excretion and osmoregulation still low. Abstract

Abstract: Research about the development of Science Process Skills (SPS) has been carried out as SPS measuring instrument study materials in Biology subject at 11th grade of senior high school. The study is aimed to produce a valid and practical test instrument of SPS. The method used in this research is Development Research (DR) method which refers to the instrument development model from Djaali and Mulyono (2008). The steps of the research and development consist of several phases: synthesis theory and requirements analysis, design stage (variable construction, development of indicators, the preparation of the lattice matter, writing of instruments, scoring) and the evaluation phase. Evaluation phase is divided into three: validity test, reliability test and analysis of grain items. The analysis of grain items is done by analyzing the degrees of difficulty, different power and distracters function. The validation of Science Process Skills (SPS) is done in three stages, namely validation theoretical (content experts, constructs experts and linguists) and empirical validation (test participants' answers). Based on the theoretical validation of the results obtained an average value of 4.2 which indicates that the questions of SPS is valid. Practicality of SPS can be detected through the result analysis of the test participants questionnaires in the trial test. The average of the questionnaire practicality while testing is 3.64 which indicate that the question of SPS is a practical category. The results of the analysis from the expert validation test and learner questionnaire showed the SPS that produced is valid and practical. Abstract

The development of science and technology encourages the development in the aspect of education including learning resources. Learning resources should be developed in accordance with the needs of students and curriculum that apply the curriculum 2013. LKS as a source of learning should contain a summary of material and some student activities in learning, but in reality LKS used today is not qualified (valid, practical, and effective) . The number of plants that grow in the school environment encourages the development of LKS, by identifying plants in particular leaves can be used as a material for the development of LKS, especially sub chapter based Plantae leaf morphology identification into LKS more qualified. This research is aimed to develop LKS Plantae based on leaf morphology to be valid, practical, and effective. This research is a research development with R & D method (Research and Development), and use model development of ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). LKS results of development will be measured validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Kevalidan is measured using instruments by experts, practicality is measured based on student activities during LKS use, effectiveness measured by improvements in learning outcomes and student responses. Validation results have been declared valid by experts with 79.17% percentage, the observation result of practicality get percentage of average 70% with practical criteria, student response result gets percentage average 98,5% with criterion very effective, result learn learn got 98% percentage and N-gain analysis result is 0.69 with medium criterion. So LKS is declared worthy as a teaching material for students.Keywords: LKS, Plantae, valid, practical, effective

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of the research is to know the influence of Problem Based Learning Model by Edmodo assisted in blood circulation system to XI students’ achievement at SMA Negeri 8 Palembang. The research method was Pre-Eksperimental method  and use One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this research was taken by Simple Random Sampling technique. Data conducted at XI MIPA 2 class with amount of 37 students. Instrument were used in this research is test instrument used multiple choice and essay. Test instrument’s data was analyzed by statistical analysis t-test. Based on result of statistical analysis t-test at the level of significant = 0,05, it is shown that tvalues greater than ttable were 32,34 > 1,69, with the result that zero hypothesis (H0) was refused and alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, that can be conclude, Problem Based Learning Model by Edmodo assisted can significantly influence to XI students’ learning achievement at SMA Negeri 8 Palembang in subject matter blood circulation. Abstract

Abstract: Research on Types of Basidiomycota in waterfall Curug Pandan Lahat was conducted from February to March 2015. The purpose of this study was obtained information on the types Basidiomycota found in this region. The method used is descriptive. Sampling was done by means of exploration. The focus of this research is only at the macroscopic Basidiomycota. Collection observed Basidiomycota were identified based on morphological characteristics. Results of the study identified 20 types Basidiomycota included into the 5 orders and 10 Families. The type most commonly found was of the Orders Agaricales which disseminatus Coprinus (Pers.: Fries) JE Lange., Mycena chlorophos, Mycena rosella (Fr.) P. Kumm., Favolaschia calocera, Marasmius androsaceus (L.) Fr., Micromphale foetidum , Cyptotrama asprata, Psathryrella, and Schizophyllum commune var. Multifidium. Polyporales Orders that is Cymatoderma elegans Var Lamellatum, Lenzites elegans (Spreng.) Pat., Lentinus sajor-caju (Fr.) Fr., Earliella scabrosa (Pers.) Gilb. & Ryvarden, Trametes elegans, Pycnoporus sanguineus. (L.) Murrill, Lenzites sp, and Microporus xanthopus (Fr) Kuntze. Cantharellales Orders consists of Clavulina cinerea (Bull.) J. Schrot. Orders of Thelephorales consists of Thelephora vialis Schwein. Nation of Russulales consists of Stereum Ostrea. Information from this study contributed to instructional materials in Biology in high school learning basic competencies 2.4 Describe the characteristics and types of fungi based on observations, experiments, and review of the literature as well as its role for life. Abstract

Penelitian dengan menggunakan suara musik dari beberapa jenis (dangdut, klasik, pop, dan rock) telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui respons terhadap pertumbuhan pada tanaman bayam merah (Amaranthus gangeticus Linn.). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari lima perlakuan dan lima  ulangan  dengan  menggunakan  teknologi  sonic  bloom.  Penelitian  ini  terdiri  dari perlakuan kontrol (tanpa pemberian musik) dan dengan pemberian musik berupa musik dangdut, klasik, pop, dan rock. Data dianalisis dengan perhitungan ANAVA dan Uji Beda Jarak Nyata Duncan (BJND). Perbedaan jenis musik memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap beberapa parameter pertumbuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian perlakuan musik berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan bayam merah seperti tinggi, jumlah daun, luas daun, berat basah dan berat kering tanaman. Perlakuan dengan jenis musik klasik dianjurkan untuk pertumbuhan    bayam    merah,    karena   memberikan    perbedaan    hasil                         yang       signifikan dibandingkan perlakuan kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil percobaan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian musik berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan bayam merah. Kata Kunci: Amaranthus gangeticus Linn., Sonic Bloom, Pertumbuhan, Musik
